Anavana is an exceptional property. The grounds are so beautiful with a running stream throughout, koi ponds, and greenery everywhere. The casitas are large and comfortable with an awesome bathroom for me and my two adult kids. Triple rooms are hard to find in Thailand and the casita was great for us. The beach is perfect with gorgeous warm water to swim in any time of the day. This was not the case at our hotel in Phuket that had a lot of rocks. You can walk right in and it doesn't get deep for quite a stretch. We lounged in the water with soft sand, floated, swam and enjoyed the scenery. Great beach chairs with plenty of umbrellas, good food in the restaurant and the service is top notch. We did not have any notes and it was our favorite hotel of three during our stay in Thailand. We especially liked the chill vibe there. All of the guests were friendly but mostly kept to themselves, laid back and not showy. Walking distance to a Michelin restaurant called Phensiri that was outstanding - but make a reservation. Also easy taxi to downtown without the noise and partying. Will return to this property 100% and hated to leave. Bonus: The massage place on the beach a couple buildings up the beach is phenomenal!

Our time at Anavana Beach Resort was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest smiles and the most attentive service we’ve ever experienced. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for truly outstanding hospitality! The accommodation was absolutely beautiful, elegant, spacious, and with a breathtaking view of the sea that made every morning feel magical. Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise from our terrace was pure bliss. One of the highlights was the direct access to the beach, just steps away from our room. The beach itself is peaceful, clean, and perfect for a relaxing swim or a romantic evening stroll. Every detail at Anavana Beach Resort is designed for comfort and serenity — the combination of luxury, nature, and heartfelt service makes it an ideal escape for anyone looking to unwind in paradise. Fantastic place to stay. Stayed 6 nights & loved the staff, service, accommodation & location. We will definitely return for another holiday. Restaurant food was great quality & not badly priced given the surroundings of absolute water views. Happy hour buy 1 get 1 free was a bonus. This is all bar drinks including cocktails. Runs for 2 hours every afternoon. Breakfast buffet had a great selection catering to all tastes & nationalities.

We first stayed at the Anavana Beach Resort back when it was still known as Poppies. The name has changed, but the incredible service, the perfect location, and that wonderful feeling of being in paradise have remained. Every visit feels like coming home. The staff always recognize us, greet us warmly, and genuinely seem happy to see us return. The cottages are spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The entire property is beautifully maintained and full of charm. You can tell it’s not a brand-new resort, but everything is kept in excellent condition, and any repairs are taken care of immediately. The restaurant is among the best on the island, award-winning and consistently excellent. The breakfast buffet is small but tasty, and you can order almost anything you wish. The spa services are also outstanding. The beach is always clean and well cared for, as is the lovely pool area. The resort is located at the southern end of Chaweng Beach – just a few hundred meters away from the large, noisy party resorts. That makes it much quieter, both at the beach and along the road, yet it’s still only a short walk to where the nightlife and shops are. There’s also plenty of parking space in front for scooters or rental vehicles. The real highlight, though, is the team – especially the wonderful Ame, the on-site manager. She runs the resort with heart, skill, and an incredible sense of care. Ame has been the heart and soul of the place for many years. She fulfills every wish, always with a smile, and makes every guest feel special. She’s a big reason why we’ll be spending another two weeks here next year. A huge thank you to Ame and the entire Anavana team – you are truly amazing. This little piece of paradise comes with my highest recommendation.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service in the restaurant. The staff showed incredible thoughtfulness, especially with our children, and asked considerate questions, like whether the classic Margherita pizza garnish should be included. Any parent will appreciate this level of care and attention to detail. The team was highly professional and made us feel genuinely valued. Combined with the absolutely outstanding food—a perfect 10/10—this was a truly wonderful dining experience.
