We had a wonderful stay here! The staff were incredibly nice, helpful, and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our room was exceptional, with a beautiful bathtub and direct access to the pool. The pool is huge, and my daughters absolutely loved it! The pool bar is also a highlight—sipping a cocktail by the pool while enjoying the beautiful view was such a relaxing experience. 🍹🌴 The location is a little far from the main areas, but that’s actually part of its charm. It’s located in a very peaceful and serene area, perfect for guests looking for privacy and a quiet getaway. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to Nathon Pier, which was extremely convenient for us as we were heading to Koh Phangan afterward. The beach is clean and beautiful. They even provide free slippers because there are quite a few small rocks that can be uncomfortable on your feet. Kayaking is also available for free, which was a nice bonus. I also had an oil massage at the massage shop next door. A lovely lady came by and invited us over, and the massage was really good and relaxing. Overall, I think this hotel is excellent value for money. The design is beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful, the facilities are great, and the service is exceptional. A perfect place to spend a couple of relaxing nights, especially if you want privacy and a tranquil escape. Highly recommended!

The rooms and toilet were lovely, clean and luxurious. We stayed in the section that has the smaller pool- this pool was perfect. The huge pool on the bigger side of the hotel is also very nice but the tiles itself make the pool look dirty even though it’s not. I would only suggest improving the tiles in the big pool. Other than that, everything was great and staff were very attentive. We didn’t mind the location because we rented a car

Do not listen to the negative reviews! They are made by self-entitled people who expect everything to be done for them and think they are the center of the world. This resort is nothing short of amazing, incredible breakfast, a free shuttle to the pier and beach and just stunning pool/beach. You can book tours from the resort alongside do activities like kayaking. There is also a gym on site! If you want a calm and relaxing stay in Koh Samui, this is the place to be! We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Unsafe, filthy, and completely misrepresented – DO NOT STAY HERE Absolute terrible experience at Mai Samui Resort & Spa. How this property maintains a high star rating on Agoda is completely beyond me. It feels like a deceptive operation—the app showed it as "sold out," yet the resort was practically deserted, and strangely, lights were turned on across empty rooms at 2 AM to create a fake illusion of full occupancy. We booked for 5 nights (Aug 11–16) but checked out after just one night because the conditions were disgusting and unsafe: Severe Safety Hazards: The balcony lamp was broken with completely exposed, uncovered electrical wiring hanging out. We even had to shift the bedside table just to cover more exposed cables near the bed. Filth & Lack of Hygiene: The room was so filthy that I was honestly disgusted to walk barefoot or even brush my teeth in that sink. There were spiderwebs in multiple corners, an unidentified white powder residue in the bathroom sink, heavily rusted faucets and shower holders, and dirt on the floor that I easily wiped away with a wet paper towel. Unhygienic Food: Breakfast was terrible. The Nutella was literally covered in ants, basic items like cereal were never refilled, tables were sticky and wiped down with dry paper towels only. Only the fruit and waffles were barely edible. Neglected Grounds: The pool is murky and uninviting, the beach is dirty and unmaintained, and the resort is isolated with zero cafes, restaurants, or shops nearby. Poor Service: When we decided to leave, it took over 20 minutes just for someone to help with luggage, and no hotel manager was on-site to handle an early check-out. We had to waste precious vacation time looking for a proper hotel. Save yourself the money and frustration—avoid this place at all costs.

Good, peaceful stay with a hard-working and lovely team ​Overall, we had a good stay! The resort is nice and spacious. It is a bit older, but that’s completely normal and was totally fine with us. To future guests: if you prefer brand-new, modern facilities, check pictures online beforehand instead of blaming the staff for the age of the buildings. ​Location & Shuttles: It’s quite far away from everything, which we knew prior to booking. Just a quick note for future guests: there are shuttles to nearby towns, but you need to reserve them in advance and there aren't many departures per day. ​Rooms & Housekeeping: The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. Housekeeping was a bit funny: I accidentally spilled some sunscreen next to the sink and left it there to see if it would get cleaned. It stayed there until our last day, so I ended up wiping it off myself! Also, the fresh towels had a slightly burnt plastic smell at times. Not a dealbreaker for us, just something to note. ​Food & Pool: The food was good. We wanted to try fine dining once, but no staff was present, so you definitely need to make a reservation for that. The pool has set opening hours, which makes sense as staff constantly clean out falling leaves and plants during the day. ​Staff & Management: The staff is young and seems a bit short-handed, but they give everything they have. They are super sweet, polite, and respectful. A special thanks to the manager, who was incredibly lovely and helped us out with a special request without any hassle. Treat the staff with kindness! — they really do their best with what they have! ​Summary: A recommended spot if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway.
