Our heartfelt thanks go to the reservation team, both on Facebook and via email, whose seamless communication, prompt responses, and meticulous planning ensured our booking process was entirely stress-free and welcoming from the very start. A special recognition is also due to our wonderful housekeeping ladies, whose immaculate attention to detail and daily thoughtful touches made returning to our villa feel like coming home. Getting around the expansive property was always a pleasure thanks to the buggy gentlemen, who were consistently prompt, charming, and greeted us with genuine smiles no matter the hour. Pure relaxation reached new heights at the spa, where Khun Oui and her wonderful colleague delivered treatments of absolute perfection. Their intuitive touch, soothing presence, and expert care melted away every ounce of tension, creating a truly restorative sanctuary. Dining and service reached exceptional heights across the resort. Khun Bom and Khun Oil provided hospitality that was both deeply professional and warmly personal, anticipating our every need with grace and efficiency. We are equally grateful to the gentleman waiter at Saffron restaurant, whose attentive care, expert recommendations, and refined service made our dining experience truly unforgettable. While the resort is truly world-class, one small area for improvement would be the shuttle bus service, which would be even more convenient if it extended its routes to deliver guests directly to destinations outside but nearby the Laguna area. Banyan Tree Phuket is a masterpiece of a resort, but it is the dedication of people like Khun Bom, Khun Oil, the spa team, the buggy team, the reservation team, and the entire service crew that transforms a great vacation into an extraordinary memory. ⭐ 1 STAR — Extremely Disappointing for a “Luxury” Resort Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. At first, everything seemed fine, but by the end of our stay, the way we were treated completely ruined the experience. The biggest issue was checkout. When paying my bill, the hotel used an exchange rate that was significantly worse than the actual rate. I understand that hotels may have their own exchange rates when exchanging money, but applying that kind of rate when I’m simply paying my hotel bill is unacceptable. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels around the world, and this was ridiculous. Even worse, I was charged for bags that I never took. Why am I being charged for something I didn’t use? I should not have to waste my time at checkout disputing charges that shouldn’t even be on my bill in the first place. Then there was the issue with the lizards/geckos and bugs everywhere. I understand Phuket is tropical, and obviously you can’t eliminate every insect, but for a resort charging luxury prices, the amount we encountered was honestly unacceptable. But the biggest disappointment was our honeymoon experience. I told the hotel approximately 10 times that we were coming for our honeymoon and asked them to decorate the room. I specifically emphasized that this was important to us. You would think a luxury resort like Banyan Tree Phuket would make an effort for such a special occasion. Instead, we got two coconuts and some leaves spelling “Honeymoon.” That was basically it. It was tiny, ugly, and looked like something thrown together at the last minute. After reminding them so many times, I expected something romantic and memorable — not something that looked like almost no effort was made. For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury resort, the attention to detail and customer service were extremely disappointing. The sad part is that the stay started off well, but the checkout experience and the lack of effort throughout the stay completely ruined the final impression. When you pay luxury-resort prices, you expect luxury-level service, honesty, and attention to detail. I would not recommend Banyan Tree Phuket based on my experience. For the price, there are plenty of other resorts where your money and special occasion will be appreciated much more.

The highlight of my visit was the massage by Deana. She is truly outstanding—highly skilled, attentive, and able to adjust the pressure perfectly to my preferences. Every technique felt purposeful, and she worked wonders on the areas of tension. I left feeling completely refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated. The service throughout the spa was warm and professional, making the entire experience feel special from start to finish. If you're visiting Banyan Tree Spa, I highly recommend requesting Deana. She made what was already an amazing spa experience absolutely unforgettable.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in late April early May 2026. The hotel arranged a flawless airport transfer for us. We arrived at noon but our room was ready for us (Serenity Pool Villa). Dining options were of high quality with most of our meals taken at the Watercourt or Saffron restaurants. However I have to say my favourite meal was at the pool bar. It's amazing that a simple meal (prawn fried rice) can be so good. Wherever we went around the hotel all staff were extremely efficient and courteous. Our room was above my expectation. The extra large king size bed was supremely comfortable and the air conditioning was fantastic keeping the room really cool. We had really nice foot treatments in the Spa. My wife says it was her best one ever!!. There are bicycles to borrow to ride around the hotel grounds and withing the general Laguna area free shuttle boats and buses to get around. We have been to Phuket many times over the years but the Banyan Tree provided a fantastic break for us.
