We chose the Barceló Resort Playa Blanca to mark an important event, and it was absolutely the right choice. From the moment you arrive, you can tell this is an establishment that knows how to welcome guests with high expectations — and the ability to articulate them. The staff is discreet, attentive and genuinely anticipates your needs. No robotic service here — just a warm, professional human presence that makes all the difference. A special mention to the Guest Experience team, who crafted a truly tailored journey for our event, with an attention to detail that turns a great stay into a lasting memory. The rooms are remarkable — spacious and refined — with as a highlight an atypical indoor pool that brings a truly unique touch to the overall experience. For those looking to combine comfort with flawless organisation, this hotel delivers on every front. We left already wanting to come back.

Stayed at this hotel for a week in March. Booked a swim up pool on the ground floor which was nice and spacious, bit odd having the shower and sink area open plan especially in a ground floor room as people walking by can get an eyeful if you forget to close the curtains! The swim up was absolutely freezing unfortunately and the room position meant the pool and terrace was shaded in the afternoon. This hotel is huge intact it's too big because there just aren't enough staff to offer good service. Housekeeping often didn't come until after 3pm when we quite like to go back to the room to chill out. Waiter service in the buffet is non existent if you are half board. Two evenings out of seven we could not get drinks with our meal because no one was available to serve!! If you are all inclusive you can help yourself but the drinks such as coke and beer are on draft and not great, when I did manage to get a coke one evening it was flat! It's such a shame that the service is obviously not a key consideration for this hotel because if it was improved the hotel could be great. Food in the buffet was ok most items were warm/hot just a few things like scrambled egg and baked beans were cold. Deserts were actually really good lots of choice and some tiny offerings so you don't completely blow the diet. Location is fab right on the marina with walks to the left and right of the hotel and bars and supermarkets who are more enthusiastic to serve drinks than the hotel waiters. Wouldn't return there are much better hotels in the Canaries.

The hotel is equivalent to a small cruise ship, permanently facing west and offering, on clear days, views of Fuerteventura in the distance. The sunlit pool area is without shade, but a few sun umbrellas, which is a notable advantage. Wind conditions vary seasonally; we visited in April. The rooms are modern and well-kept, some with a small grass area in front where guests can relax and sunbathe with pool towels, enhancing the outdoor experience. The resort features also an adults-only section, which would be our preferred choice for future visits. We chose the half-board plan, as three full meals a day can be excessive. The breakfast buffet is extensive, with various egg dishes, pork sausages, and black pudding, catering to UK tastes. A salad bar offers healthy options. Fruit juices come from a carton rather than fresh, which is disappointing. Dinner varies each night and includes healthy options; combined with a small open-air gym with stunning views, it makes for a healthy and active stay. The front desk staff are courteous and helpful; when we requested a room change due to noise from neighbouring rooms with a baby, they understood and assisted us, relocating us to a quieter area. The hotel is situated a few hundred meters near a free-access beach. The hotel is located in an upscale area with nearby shopping and restaurants within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring local amenities.

10 day break at this hotel, room was beautiful, very comfortable. Food was amazing especially for me as I'm pescitarian so fish dishes were really good with lovely sauces. Loads of choices for foodies. Staff are very good & nothing to much trouble. Fantastic location. Will be going again, highly recommended

Stayed in a Royal level room which was spacious. the hotel is less than 3 years old, very modern and right next to the Rubicon Marina. The staff are very nice, but the choice of food on the menu in the magical Restuarant is quite limted. We have stayed in other Playa Blanca Hotels that offered more variety and, in our opinion, are better value for money.
