We chose the Barceló Resort Playa Blanca to mark an important event, and it was absolutely the right choice. From the moment you arrive, you can tell this is an establishment that knows how to welcome guests with high expectations — and the ability to articulate them. The staff is discreet, attentive and genuinely anticipates your needs. No robotic service here — just a warm, professional human presence that makes all the difference. A special mention to the Guest Experience team, who crafted a truly tailored journey for our event, with an attention to detail that turns a great stay into a lasting memory. The rooms are remarkable — spacious and refined — with as a highlight an atypical indoor pool that brings a truly unique touch to the overall experience. For those looking to combine comfort with flawless organisation, this hotel delivers on every front. We left already wanting to come back.
A.N. Estate maintenance
Don’t bother all inclusive - food is repetitive & not nice at all. I have seen paella every single day from 7 days at lunch & dinner. Breakfast good. Lunch & dinner horrible. Absolutely no dairy free options - my son who is allergic has not been able to have one desert that is not fruit for 7 days here. No effort to accommodate people with allergies. Hotel seems very tactical with all inclusive - 1 bar in a huge site. Outside of breakfast / lunch & dinner you do not get offered anything. They just serve cold snacks at 1 bar when the whole place is huge. Overall facilities are new & good but hotel lacks character and value for money. ALL INCLUSIVE IS NOT WORTH IT !!! If your planning to stay go half board at most.

Stayed at this hotel for a week in March. Booked a swim up pool on the ground floor which was nice and spacious, bit odd having the shower and sink area open plan especially in a ground floor room as people walking by can get an eyeful if you forget to close the curtains! The swim up was absolutely freezing unfortunately and the room position meant the pool and terrace was shaded in the afternoon. This hotel is huge intact it's too big because there just aren't enough staff to offer good service. Housekeeping often didn't come until after 3pm when we quite like to go back to the room to chill out. Waiter service in the buffet is non existent if you are half board. Two evenings out of seven we could not get drinks with our meal because no one was available to serve!! If you are all inclusive you can help yourself but the drinks such as coke and beer are on draft and not great, when I did manage to get a coke one evening it was flat! It's such a shame that the service is obviously not a key consideration for this hotel because if it was improved the hotel could be great. Food in the buffet was ok most items were warm/hot just a few things like scrambled egg and baked beans were cold. Deserts were actually really good lots of choice and some tiny offerings so you don't completely blow the diet. Location is fab right on the marina with walks to the left and right of the hotel and bars and supermarkets who are more enthusiastic to serve drinks than the hotel waiters. Wouldn't return there are much better hotels in the Canaries.

We loved this hotel. The weather was quite mixed for our week, so the quality of the hotel is even more important. We’d stayed in the Barcelo in Fuerteventura (Caleta de Fuste) last year, loved it, and thought we’d try Lanzarote this year. Even better. Food, service, rooms and facilities - all excellent. We had no problems at all during our stay. We didn’t need room cleaning every day - just fresh towels and shower gel towards the end of the week - housekeeping staff gave us everything on the spot. Looking forward to our return visit next year.

We stayed at Barcelo Playa Blanca for our honeymoon and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. We booked the swim-up room and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up and stepping straight into the pool felt like pure luxury. The room itself was so modern and beautifully designed. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, with so many pillows that I wanted to take them all home. I loved the open-style bathroom, and the separate toilet was such a smart touch for privacy. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, and the all-inclusive restaurant… wow. I’m still dreaming about that buffet. Every meal felt like a treat. We also really enjoyed the entertainment in the evenings. The only thing I’d improve is the app... the layout could be clearer. I had to ask staff to find the theatre and ended up Googling the act to know what it was about. A bit more info directly in the app would make things easier. Overall, it was the perfect place for a honeymoon, especially with the room we had. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
