Outstanding place. We came for over a week and felt like in paradise. If you’re looking for something different than just another modern hotel resort this might be a good place to consider. We felt like in garden dominated African village with substantial terrain to cover if you’re up for a stroll every now and then. I’d you’re not, staff can give you a lift with a golf cart. Staff - very pleasant and what surprised us - Polish speaking haha! Guys, you and your smile is so much appreciated! Entertainment - A nice performance on stage almost every evening - personally I liked Michael Jackson night the most. :) Very nice ocean view with beach access (remember to bring your diving shoes to protect your feet from sea ​​urchins and rocks and sun screen. If you don’t bring those, there is a small store in the resort. Prices - at European level already I’m afraid. Especially SPA massages and rituals. Don’t expect this place to be super cheap if you’re looking for a budget site. Once again thanks to all the staff.

For our honeymoon we had an amazing stay at Blue Bay Resort. Every personnel were very accomadating and friendly. The food was good, kudos to the chefs. The rooms were always cleaned nice and you feek safe in the hotel with all the security around. I can recommend to book your holiday here if you want to have a peaceful stay. Special thanks to: Reception: - Saaida for her work with our booking as we had some minor problems ( from my side) - Athumani, the big boss for his excellent service at the hotel and before when I called the resort. - Simon to welcome us at the hotel and made us feel welcome here. Restaurant: - Chokora with his friendly service and his big smile - Ramadhani for his friendliness and tips of what we can do on the island. - Ruti for his excellent service. - Atila for the delicious cappuccino’s that my wife enjoyed much. - Mohamed for the nice mocktails and drinks. General: Adonis, the main manager in the hotel for his help that I could suprise my wife! Dass, the general manager of the hotel that was very friendly and even brought us to our room.

When we arrived, they gave us an upgrade from their other hotel to this one so the first impressions couldn't be better! The room was clean and stayed clean because of daily housekeeping, if nessesarry. They have a good eye in providing the best service, can't get any better, helping with a smile! The food changes daily and it is rich of nutrition, good salades, fruits, fresh and home made naan bread.. it's always good! The swimming pool is big enough, also because there is a second pool 👌 A lot of cosy spaces, sitting areas to enjoy and relax with a drink and some entertainment in the evening.. There where dansers and a live band played some good oldies of Lionel Richie, Madonna and Abba.. for example Just one tip; The regulations during dinner wearing long pants weren't that strictly followed so if you don't mind about this regulation being not followed, ignore what I said about it.. Like I mentioned before, no complaining about services. They are all very helpful! Apparently they have more freedom getting in contact with guests and that's also why they make a difference between this and others hotels in Zanzibar! Important to mention, most of the time, wifi was working well! Thanks you for your hospitality! We enjoyed it to the fullest! Absoluyley wonderful resort. Smaller scale resort with a more intimate feel. The main dining room felt calm and no queues waiting for anything. The staff are really friendly and Jimmy the restaurant manager was very caring and accommodating finding me Soya milk. The gardens are magnificent too. The spa had very professional therapists with excellent technique. The pools and bars were clean and cool. Evening entertainment was good. We loved staying here amd dream of returning soon

We stayed at the Blue Bay Resort from December 19th to 27th, 2025. We had a wonderful time: clean and spacious rooms, immaculately maintained gardens, pools and beach, excellent cuisine with a wide variety of dishes, including local ones. The Zanzibari evening was a wonderful experience; we enjoyed their freshly prepared specialties. The evening shows by acrobats and dancers were very impressive, allowing us to experience local music and traditions. What struck us most was the kindness and helpfulness of the resort staff, but the same applies to all the Zanzibaris, a wonderful people. Highly recommended resort!
