We stayed at the hotel for a short period during a break in our work travel, and even though our stay was brief, it was a wonderful experience. We received a very warm welcome, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were always kind and helpful. It was the most spacious room I have ever stayed in, and it made me feel like I was in a fairytale. It was very clean and well organized. The beach was amazing — very wide, which helps avoid crowds, and with no noticeable tide. The accessibility was well thought out, so you can enjoy every corner of the hotel, even with a stroller. The food was delicious, with a lot of variety, including many options from international cuisine. Only struggling part is the access to the Kendwa, takes around 1,5 hour from the airport.

🌴 A True Golden Paradise — Our 50th Wedding Celebration 🌴 We stayed at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa to celebrate our upcoming Golden Wedding Anniversary, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. Everything about this place is pure perfection — a wide white-sand beach, crystal-clear water, and an impeccably maintained resort. The staff are warm, kind, and attentive, always nearby but never intrusive. The food is exceptional, fresh, and full of flavor, and drinks are served wherever you wish — by the pool, on the beach, or right on your villa terrace. When the hotel management learned that we had booked a seaside dinner to celebrate our 50 years together, they surprised us with an unforgettable gift — an upgrade to the best villa in the resort, located right on the oceanfront with a private pool. During dinner, the restaurant team sang and brought us a beautiful anniversary cake, made especially for us. It was an incredibly emotional and joyful moment that we will never forget. We also felt completely safe and cared for, even during the post-election period when there were some concerns in the media. The hotel’s security and professionalism made us feel perfectly protected and relaxed at all times. We have traveled a lot around the world, but nowhere else have we experienced such genuine hospitality, generosity, and warmth. Gold Beach Zanzibar is one of our favorite places on the island. The location is beautiful, right on the beach, with a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently great. We often come here with our family and always enjoy the peaceful environment, good food, and amazing ocean views. Highly recommended if you want a calm and authentic Zanzibar beach experience.

My wife and I stayed at Gold Zanzibar at the end of October as part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely superb. The room was comfortable and spacious, the food was excellent and the activities were fun. We arranged two separate massages which were both incredibly relaxing. On top of this, we arranged an excursion to go snorkelling off Mnemba Island which was superb. I would like to credit some staff in particular who were absolutely wonderful: Shamim looked after us for our honeymoon dinner and several lunches, and took great care to look after us with great service on all occasions. Hussein and Issa were both brilliant in helping us with arranging whatever we needed. Mwinyi was wonderfully helpful in providing us with different options for excursions and arranged the Mnemba island trip for us.
