DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island – Operational Update

Please find below the latest information regarding the operation of the restaurants, facilities, and any temporary changes at the property for the period from 4 September to 1 October.

Operational Restaurants & Bars

  • Al Marjan: Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Vespa: Open for lunch and dinner, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Sanchaya: Lunch is available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Dinner is available daily except Sunday and Monday. Friday dinner is not available à la carte due to the Tipsy Tempura Night Brunch, which is not included in any package.
  • Pool Bars & Beach Bar: Open daily from 10:00 until sunset.
  • Anchor Bar: Open daily from 18:00 to 01:00.
  • Lobby Bar: Open daily from 06:00 to 00:00.
  • Islander’s Coffee House: Open Friday to Sunday from 09:00 to 18:00.

    • Operational Guest Facilities

  • Beach: Open daily from 09:00 to 19:00.
  • Swimming Pools: All pools are operational daily, except the Back Chalet Pool, subject to the applicable building closure.
  • Kids Pool: Operational.
  • Waterpark & Tarzan Boat: Operational daily, except during the scheduled refurbishment period detailed below.
  • Chuckles Kids Club: Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00.
  • Padel Court: Open daily from 07:00 to 20:00.
  • Fitness Centre: Open 24/7.
  • Entertainment Programme: Operational.

  • Shofee: Closed.
  • Meze & Brasserie: Closed.

    • There are currently no confirmed reopening dates available for these outlets.

    Water Park Refurbishment

    The Water Park will undergo scheduled refurbishment from 7 September to 18 September. During this period, the Water Park will temporarily be unavailable.

    Guests will continue to have access to a wide range of alternative facilities and activities, including:

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island. The resort is beautiful, the pool area is always clean, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing with family and friends. A special thank you to Rohin, Antony, and Anadhu, who served drinks by the pool. They were incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. They always had a smile on their faces, made sure we were well taken care of, and provided outstanding customer service. Their kindness and professionalism made our poolside experience even more enjoyable. The level of hospitality they showed truly stood out and made our stay memorable. I highly recommend this resort, and I hope to come back again soon. Thank you to the entire team, especially Rohin, Antony, and Anadhu, for making our vacation so special!

    I had an amazing stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my entire visit. A very special thank you to the chef. When he learned that I have a lactose intolerance, he went above and beyond by preparing special desserts for me every day. This thoughtful gesture made me feel truly cared for and made my stay even more enjoyable. I originally booked a 3-day stay, but because of the excellent service and wonderful experience, I decided to extend my stay for an additional 2 days. Thank you to all the team members for their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future! ❤️🙏🏻

    We stayed for one night at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The warm welcome with the famous chocolate chip cookies was a lovely touch—I enjoyed them so much that I went back for a second one! 😊 Our kids had an incredible time at the water park, the temperature-controlled kids’ swimming pools, and the Kids Club. There were so many fun activities to keep them entertained, making this the perfect resort for families with children. The breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with a great variety of delicious food. The service throughout our stay was outstanding, and every staff member was friendly, helpful, and professional. A special thank you to the WhatsApp guest service team. Their quick responses and assistance made everything so convenient and added to our wonderful experience. I can only give 5 stars here, but if there were 10 stars, I would happily give them all. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this resort to families looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable getaway. We will definitely be back!

    ​We stayed here this past May and had a wonderful family getaway. Upon arrival, receiving their signature warm cookies at check-in was such a nice touch and set a welcoming tone right away. The staff throughout our stay were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. ​Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering plenty of space for the family to relax. The resort itself boasts an amazing pool and beach area, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is exceptionally kids-friendly—our little one was thoroughly entertained thanks to the fantastic mini water park, the huge kids' pool, and the brilliant kids' club. The club offered a great variety of activities and games, including face painting and arts and crafts, which kept the kids highly engaged. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved: ​The Jacuzzi: The area is quite small and easily crowded. It would be much better if it were separated for men and women to allow for more comfort and privacy. ​The Food: We booked the all-inclusive package but found the food quite repetitive between lunch and dinner. The quality and taste could also be improved, as nothing really stood out as a "wow." ​Overall, the fantastic facilities and wonderful staff made it a memorable stay. We’d highly recommend it for families, but hope to see an upgrade in the dining and wellness layout!

    I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island during the Eid Al Adha holidays. Unfortunately, the room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. There was visible dirt and debris in the corners of the room, and I had to request housekeeping to come and clean it again. The baby cot provided was also not clean, and I ended up cleaning it myself before letting my child use it. To be fair, the hotel was very busy due to the holiday season, and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The waiters and restaurant staff were especially wonderful with children and made a genuine effort to keep families comfortable. The food quality was acceptable and there was a reasonable variety as part of the all-inclusive package. However, the water park facilities felt old and worn out, and many of the public restrooms had toilets with non-functioning flush systems, which was disappointing for a resort of this category. Overall, while the staff were one of the strongest points of the hotel, the cleanliness and maintenance standards did not meet my expectations. As an all-inclusive family holiday destination, there are better options available in the UAE, and this would probably not be my choice for a future stay. Pros: * Friendly and helpful staff * Excellent attitude towards children * Acceptable food quality * Good all-inclusive concept Cons: * Room cleanliness issues on arrival * Dirty baby cot * Aging water park facilities * Poor maintenance of public restrooms Would I return? Probably not.
