An Amazing Stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Sharks Bay Resort, Sharm El Sheikh My experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Sharks Bay Resort has been absolutely wonderful! The hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere is amazing, and everything is perfectly organized to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would especially like to give a special feedback for Mohammad Mustafa, who works in the restaurant of Mountain View DoubleTree by Hilton. He is incredibly welcoming, friendly, professional, and fast. His excellent service truly made a difference and made us feel very well taken care of. As someone who is very picky about cleanliness and food hygiene, I was genuinely impressed by the restaurant areas which was exceptionally clean, the food is always served hot, and the cutlery is regularly changed the plates are always on a high heat. The attention to cleanliness, food handling, and hygiene is outstanding, which gave me great confidence and peace of mind while dining at the hotel. The resort itself is stunning! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the pools are spacious and gorgeous, and the overall vibe is fantastic. The convenient shuttle cars that take guests around the resort are another great touch, making it easy to move around and enjoy all the facilities. Everything, from the room to the restaurants, pools, and overall atmosphere, contributed to an unforgettable experience.

Overall, we had a very good experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help (although not every staff member was the same). The food was excellent, with a great variety of options available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, the rooms on the Mountain Side are old and have not been renovated. If you decide to book this hotel, I strongly recommend reserving one of the renovated rooms to ensure a much more comfortable stay. We also experienced a few issues when we first arrived. The sink in our room was blocked, They offered to repair it at around 2 a.m., but after a long journey we were exhausted and asked them to come back the following morning instead. To their credit, they responded promptly the next morning and fixed it. There was no extra bed prepared for us. The extra bed they eventually brought was old and broken. That said, I believe these issues should have been resolved before our arrival. After a long trip, guests should be welcomed into a clean, fully prepared room without having to report maintenance issues or wait for essential items to be fixed. Despite this disappointing start, our overall stay was enjoyable.

This was my first abroad holiday since i was maybe 6 years old (im nearly 20 now). Firstly i want to give a special shout out to our cleaner (Ahmed) who cleaned room 4004 during our time. He was very welcoming always greeted us with a smile and he did amazing towel creations, with something new everyday. He would even line up my partners makeup in a line altogether to ensure she didn’t lose it. (Which is a lot). The food wasnt the best but always was an options for picky eaters. People who complain about there not being options for them must go to a country and expect the food to be how it was at home which should not be how it is. (You go to a different continent, you should expect different food) I would give the food a 4 star and the food from the barbecue was to die for. Entertainment was also really good although we didn’t see much it was always entertaining and always something to do whether it was volleyball during the day or a pool show at night.the buildings weren’t bright and dazzlign but wouldn’t break any codes. We also noticed a broken tile one day on a wall, the next morning it was fixed and a new one was put on. They have a private beach which was stunning and although you couldnt go in a lot of it due to the coral reefs they had a platform so you could still jump in and enjoy the sea. The staff always would greet you with a smile and ask how you are and it made us feel very welcomed. Overall experience,

This was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. This was our babies first holiday so before we booked the hotel, we saw online staying on mountainside would be better as it was on one level making it more pram accessible so we booked a ground level room (theres no lifts). When we arrived we were shocked at the state of the room which was advertised as being part of a 4 star hotel - it was a room i’d expect to see in a 0 star hotel. There was broken tiles in the bathroom, rust in the bath, dirty grout, sharp metal pieces on the bed frame and a broken wardrobe door that fell on my husband as soon as he opened it. The decor looked like it hadnt been changed since the 80s, even the bedsheets had bobbles! We had arrived late at night so the next morning we complained about the state of the room and the fact that the wardrobe door had fallen on my husband and they said they could move us to another similar room or simply fix the wardrobe door and given a later checkout. We were so disgusted by the room and it had already given us a bad start to the holiday that we just opted to upgrade to the beachside instead (for £30 extra a night - they said it like this was a special price for our inconvenience but my cousin who was already staying on beach side showed us that, that was the normal price that they had paid). The rooms on this side were definitely better and really should’ve been the standard for a 4 star hotel. The downside of moving over though meant we had to now carry the pram up and down stairs every time we wanted to leave the hotel as i had mentioned before there were no lifts! I found the staff so unhelpful, also during the stay we had noticed the iron in our room had a crack on the top and whilst using it the cracked bit completely broke off - we told housekeeping, the next day the housekeeping supervisor told us we’d have to pay 1500 EGP (£22) for the old broken iron. - we relayed this information to the assistant manager - Mustafa Saide and he said we’d still have to pay the full price and if we didn’t he’d bill it through our travel agent when we left and we’d be charged even more. We told him about what we had already been through with our rooms and also about another occasion where a drunk man (another guest) on the beach had consistently followed me and my cousin around when we were on out own but would walk away as soon as my husband appeared - he said he had reviewed that a few days earlier and had found the man had done nothing wrong and the later check out was given because of that incident which he could also charge us for if we didn’t pay for iron right then. If you are visiting Sharm El Sheikh choose ANY other hotel - because all the staff at this hotel care about is squeezing out as much money from you as possible not your wellbeing and enjoyment. The hospitality at this resort is horrendous.
