Just got back from an incredible seven days at the Saint George Homestay. Definitely have to agree with most people that it is the staff who make this hotel, nothing is ever to much trouble. Being blind and pretty independent, even when I attempted to walk somewhere, a member of staff always offered help and support which for me indicated their willingness to help. Food, although sometimes a bit repetitive, I would say you would always find something to eat. Remember, this is a four star hotel so I don’t think it’s fair to expect the same as what you would get in a five star, but having said that, breakfast you can get a decent omelette, with nice pastries. Lunch there’s always some chicken option available, with fries and pizza, and evenings can be varied. I actually found the desserts to be really nice, with quite a variety. Rooms, definitely comfortable with all amenities such as coffee tea and a fridge available in the room as well as a safe. Starf in the pool area always very friendly and helpful and always insured I got a sun lounger close to the pool. Definitely a hotel I would recommend, and visit again.

I stayed at St George Hotel and found it to be a very simple, older hotel. The facilities are quite dated, and there isn't much to do on-site. If you're travelling with children, I wouldn't particularly recommend it. There are only a few small plastic slides for kids, and the kids' club was closed most of the time during our stay. When it was open, the furniture was old, scratched, and clearly in need of updating. One thing that really disappointed me was the taxi service arranged through reception. We found that the prices they quoted were much higher than what you could negotiate by getting a taxi directly from outside the hotel. In fact, they appeared to be calling the same local taxis, but charging significantly more. We were able to get the same journeys for around half the price by arranging them ourselves. The biggest disappointment, however, was our experience with reception regarding our late checkout. As we had a late flight, we asked if we could stay in our room a little longer. One member of staff initially told us it wouldn't be a problem and said he would speak to the manager to see if we could extend our checkout time without any additional charge. About 10 minutes later, without any sign that he had spoken to the manager, we were told it would cost $84, plus an additional charge for dinner. For a hotel that promotes itself as offering a "homestay" experience, this felt very disappointing. Instead of showing flexibility or understanding, it felt like they took advantage of our situation knowing we had a late flight and limited options. It was genuinely shocking to see such a strong focus on extracting extra money from guests over what could have been a small gesture of goodwill. Overall, if you're looking for a basic place to sleep, this hotel may be adequate. However, don't expect modern facilities, good entertainment for children, or customer service that puts guests first.

The most pleasant impression was the politeness, friendliness and hospitality of the staff. The hotel boasts two wonderful private beaches: a sandy one with easy access and a coral one teeming with beautiful fish. A shuttle service is available to the beaches, which are about a 10–15 minute bus ride from the hotel. Despite this being our first such experience in many stays in Egypt, the trip was absolutely hassle-free. The beaches are comfortable and there are bars and snacks available for lunch. The restaurant food was completely satisfactory and had everything we needed. The hotel has two clean swimming pools, one on either side of the main building. A free evening shuttle service is also available to the Old Market and Naama Bay. During our stay, a group of people with limited mobility from a Christian church charity in Egypt was staying at the hotel. We witnessed the care they received, which enhanced the hotel's and the country's reputation further.

Just come back from ten days here. Great hotel. Quiet pool is great for chilling out. Food was varied and plentyful. The upstairs Indian and seafood buffet can be recommended. You have to pay extra for these meals but was worth it. I visited 3 times during my stay. Staff were great and helpful bar staff were great with a top up as soon as I finished one drink. I didn't venture out of the hotel so can't comment on the beach bus or market. But it has its own shop for crisps drinks and tobacco products. So never left the hotel. Would go back in the future. Ibrahim who looks the restaurant was a great guy. As were both staff in the quiet pool bar.

A very pleasant and peaceful hotel where you can truly relax and enjoy your vacation. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the hotel feels safe and welcoming. The food was delicious with plenty of choices for every taste. We also liked that the hotel area is clean and well maintained, and the pool area is perfect for relaxing. We have returned here several times already, which speaks for itself. We definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and enjoyable holiday destination.
