Overall, the hotel was well located and had its own safe lagoon. The entertainment programme was good, and it was clear that the animators and performers were trying to engage the guests and create a positive atmosphere. However, this is where the positives ended. The main disadvantages were as follows: The food was poor and of low quality. Not only was there very little variety and if some of it finished, we were waiting for ages, but guests also had to walk between different floors and across a very large area just to collect food. The hotel and its restaurants are clearly not designed for the number of guests staying there. Although there are restaurants on two floors, many dishes were also served outside and in different locations, which made the whole dining experience inconvenient. The staff were very inconsistent. Some members of staff were friendly and helpful, while others were rude and unprofessional. At the lobby bar, some bartenders appeared to be working while drunk and were even throwing ice at children's faces. One of the most frustrating issues was the way guests were served at the bar. Even when standing in a queue and following the queue, you could simply be ignored, while local guests were served out of turn regardless of when they arrived. This was extremely irritating. Also, when ordering a cocktail that another member of staff had made only recently, some bartenders would say that the cocktail was not available. However, as soon as a local guest asked for the same cocktail, it was made for them. This happened several times and gave the impression that some staff were simply too lazy to make cocktails and preferred to say that they were unavailable. The hotel itself is very old. The renovation in 2019, which is mentioned online, does not appear to reflect the actual condition of the hotel. It is possible that some buildings were constructed or renovated around that time, but these appeared to be used by a separate company and occupied mainly by guests from the Eurasian or Eastern Europe region. The rooms, furniture, decoration, air-conditioning units and general condition of the hotel were very outdated. It felt as if we had gone back 20 years. The water slides were switched off from 13:00 to 15:00. It was unclear why this was necessary, and none of the staff could provide a clear explanation.

We have just got back from 10 days at sea beach as a family of 6 and our first time in egypt. What can I say the moment we walked in through the lobby the staff was very welcoming. The hotel was beautiful all throughout. The service was great and life guards and all reps were very pleasant. We had 2 rooms looking over the resort and I couldn't fault these rooms. They were very clean and tidy throughout. For our stay we became friends with our cleaner Saied lotfy , he was brill and such a lovely gent. He wrote notes to the kids in Arabic and my children learnt to write in Arabic back to him, he made cute towel decorations and made the room very clean and tidy everyday! Which i did not expect. We have now stayed in touch we Saied and hopefully will come back to visit him or see him in England 😁 The hotel from entertainment to shops, pool beach, activities were amazing. The food was abit hit and miss but nothing we didnt like. The staff work so hard everyday making it fun for everyone. Would definitely recommend sea beach. Special mention to Saied lotfy a very hard working man the hotel is lucky to have and Soltan at the shop who looked after me when I weren't well and helped the kids when they got sunburnt. 2 days back in England id return in a heartbeat. What a lovely place and country 😊

We experienced the hotel in June and were happy with the location right on the beach ,the sea was a few minutes walk from reception. Lots of pools ,big aquapark saved the hot time to enjoy it.Mostly helpful staff, mostly tasty food .We spent lunch at snack food court sometimes so that did not leave the beach area during all the day.Our favourite time was also entertainment in the evening which was not imposing but active. Thanks to all hardworking staff especially the cleaners, chefs ,waiters and lifeguards ,you job is valued.Hope for my next visit .

We have just eaten in the Tuscany restaurant within this resort, we found the Nabeh, the manager, and his staff extremely welcoming. We are vegan, and Nabeh was very happy to tailor meal choices for our family of 5, no hassle or burden felt. He was attentive and very reassuring, no ask was too big. This meal has been our most enjoyable within the 10 days of staying at this resort. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We stayed at Edge by Rotana from 31st March for 11 nights and had a really enjoyable experience. To be clear, I’m rating this as a four-star hotel, not comparing it to five-star resorts with higher price points. Within that category, it absolutely deserves five stars. The hotel itself is excellent. The layout is well thought out, the pools are great, and everything is kept clean and presentable. The atmosphere across the resort is relaxed and welcoming. A special mention to our room cleaner, Mohammed (room 1216), who was consistently friendly and did a fantastic job during our stay. The room was always cleaned to a high standard whenever we requested it using the door sign, and the towel decorations were a really nice touch. Another standout was Mohammed Alawij (apologies if the spelling isn’t exact), who took exceptional care of my girlfriend, who has coeliac disease. He personally plated her meals and clearly explained what was safe, making the whole experience completely stress-free. If you have coeliac disease, I’d strongly recommend asking for him — he’s the person to speak to for safe, gluten-free food. All staff we encountered were friendly and respectful. You will be offered extras such as massages or souvenirs, but a polite “no” is always respected, and interactions remain pleasant. Food-wise, there is plenty of choice throughout the day. There are two main all-inclusive restaurants plus an outdoor grill area. The food is good, with a varied selection, although as expected with all-inclusive resorts, some options repeat across nights. That said, there are always different dishes introduced, and overall I’d rate the food as very good for a four-star hotel standard. The bars are efficient, and service is quick. There’s a good selection of cocktails and mocktails, and it was great to see branded soft drinks like Coca-Cola and Sprite included. Entertainment is also solid. There are activities during the day if you want to get involved, and evening shows are enjoyable. Most seem to be run by the in-house team, but they create a good atmosphere whether you’re watching closely or just relaxing nearby in the open area. Overall, a fantastic stay and great value for what you pay. If you go in expecting a strong four-star experience rather than a five-star luxury resort, you won’t be disappointed.
