An exceptional luxury experience from start to finish. The villas are spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly private, making it easy to truly relax. The restaurants, specially Angara the Indian one, offer a great variety with consistently excellent food. The range of activities is fantastic, from beach time and water sports to well-curated experiences around the island - specially the snorkeling with sea horses. A truly world-class resort that delivers understated luxury, comfort, and attention to detail. Highly recommended and definitely a place we would love to return to.

The moment you enter the lobby and see that view, it genuinely takes your breath away. Turquoise water, open skies, lush green everywhere. It feels like you’ve arrived in paradise. What made it truly special, though, was the team. - Chef Saravana at Angara is doing something beautiful with Indian cuisine. - Dipesh looked after our table so warmly. - Satyam, Sawan and Bakha at La Plaz Beach made our beach time completely relaxed and seamless. - Manish at reception was incredibly helpful throughout. A special thank you to Kamini, who went out of her way to find Biafine for our sunburn and send it to our room when the boutique had to shut unexpectedly. That level of care stays with you. The private beach experience on Île aux Cerfs was a highlight. I am so glad we went snorkelling when we did because the very next day it rained and all boat trips were cancelled. The team’s planning made all the difference. I left feeling calm, grateful and already wanting to return.

My stay at the Four Seasons Mauritius was nothing short of extraordinary, truly one of the most memorable travel experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace, warmth, and genuine care that stayed with me throughout my entire visit. If you are even considering traveling on your own, please take this as your sign to do it. I felt completely safe at all times, supported, and genuinely looked after. This resort creates the perfect environment for it; calm, secure, and deeply welcoming. Everything about this resort is a true five-star experience, from the breathtaking surroundings to the impeccable service. I’ve previously stayed in Seychelles, which I absolutely loved, but I have to say Mauritius now holds a very special place in my heart. There’s a unique soul here. You don’t just experience luxury; you feel it through the people. The staff are the true stars of this resort. Every single interaction was filled with warmth, kindness, and sincerity. You can tell they genuinely care, and they went above and beyond to make my stay feel personal and unforgettable. It wasn’t just hospitality, it was heart. The food deserves its own standing ovation. Dining at Angara and Ti Pwason was an absolute highlight. The flavors, the presentation, and the experience itself were spectacular. I especially loved being encouraged to try local Mauritian dishes each one was unreal, rich in flavour, and thoughtfully prepared. It was a culinary journey I’ll be thinking about for a long time. The newly renovated rooms are a true reflection of modern luxury, elegant, serene, and beautifully designed. Every detail felt intentional and indulgent, making it so easy to fully relax and soak in the experience. I also want to give a heartfelt social shout-out to some truly outstanding team members who made my stay extra special: Pravesh, Sajjhad, Assan, Navish, and Tony. You each embody the Four Seasons standard perfectly. Your professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care you showed. Thank you to the entire Four Seasons Mauritius team for creating such a magical experience. This was more than just a holiday, it was something truly special. To anyone reading this: please take the time to visit. A genuine five-star experience in every sense of the word.

We stayed at the FS Mauritius for 5D/4N.  The rooms are well made, clean, luxurious, all to FS standards. The restaurants are all excellent, as is the breakfast. We didn't have a single bad dish. The grounds are kept immaculately, and on these fronts we certainly feel like everything was worth more than the price tag. However, the place where things are not right is the service.   While everything else is up to 5-star and four seasons standards, the service is simply not. The level of competency, communication, and coordination is not in line with the brand or the price.  Comparing to other Four Seasons hotels, it is simply not on the same standard or competency level.  Afew small examples are below. - Missed turndown service - At one dinner, sauce spilled onto my wife while server was taking away a dish. The server watched as my wife wiped herself off but did not acknowledge or say anything even as we made eye contact. - The concierge booked 3 rounds of golf for us, but the hotel never told how to get to the course or where to be or pickup timing. I had to call/message every single time asking how the logistics work.  On one occasion I was told to book a private boat (because our tee time was prior to a regular boat shuttle time), and I was asked what time I wanted to book without being given information like cost. I would have missed all three rounds of golf if I had not called/messaged to keep asking on simple logistics. - English was a bit difficult with quite a few of the staff. Not an issue at all, but never happened at a FS for us and we travel mostly to non-English speaking countries. - At one dinner, had to ask for a 2nd glass of wine 3 times before it was served. - One breakfast, we were ready to leave by the time our coffee arrived (and we ordered it as soon as we sat down)- One breakfast, it was hard to remind them to get another coffee becuase staff was so busy talking to each other I couldn't get their attention. - When leaving, the front desk arranged a buggy to pickup our stuff, and a second buggy to pick us up.   They even noted that both buggies will be on time, given past delays/no-shows that already happened.  The second buggy never came,  and when housekeeping did instead they called the buggy for us.  We were 20 min late to go to reception.  Reception was not ready to check us out, and a couple requests I had made early in the morning (mid-day checkout) were not done.  Again, no communication within staff. I would say about a third of the staff just simply didn't care at all. They clearly didn't want to be there, and it really showed. Something I've never seen in a hotel costing over $1000/night, or any other four seasons. The rest were cheerful and very kind, but most were still not adequately trained in service.  It's almost as if everyone was trained to do only one task, and otherwise they're not able to do anything else, and choose not to communicate to each other to relay messages.  Staffing was adequate across the hotel, the restaurants were well staffed as well.  So its more about capability and training I think - and attitude. There are many more minute examples like this, but again, none of these are a big deal. Even collectively, not a problem. But I feel this is not the Four Seasons standard of service, and this needs to be expressed. For example, we never once felt service was lacking (EVER) at other resort-style FS hotels, like Maldives Landaa, Maldives Kuda Haraa, Hoi An, Koh Samui, Bora Bora, Serengeti, Maui, etc etc.). It's just not managed to the same standard. Four Seasons is my favorite hotel brand, and we always look to stay at a FS when possible. Often, we travel to a place specifically to stay at a Four Seasons. Aside for small competency/service issues, the Four Seasons Mauritius did not disappoint and is an amazing hotel. This is the first and only time across countless FS hotel stays that I would not give 5 stars.

Our stay at Four Seasons Mauritius exceeded all our expectations, especially after the hotel’s recent renovation. We would like to start by expressing our sincere appreciation for Maria Sauntoo from the Guest Experience Team. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed and accompanied us with outstanding professionalism and genuine warmth. Having stayed at several Four Seasons properties around the world, we can confidently say that Maria truly stood out. Her simplicity, authenticity, and natural approach made us feel exceptionally comfortable—never intrusive, never forced, always sincere. The dining experience was exceptional across all restaurants, but the Italian restaurant particularly impressed us thanks to Chef Sergio, originally from Sicily. I ordered gnocchi with tomato and asked to add truffle cream, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The chef personally came to our table to suggest a refined variation of the dish, and it turned out to be extraordinary—one of the best truffle gnocchi I have ever tasted. At the breakfast and lunch buffet, Victoria distinguished herself with her remarkable friendliness and warm service. We also enjoyed a private boat trip, which was truly unforgettable: a delicious barbecue prepared on the spot, dolphin watching, snorkeling, and a team of incredibly kind staff members. In addition, we did two snorkeling excursions to observe seahorses, a unique and magical experience. Our thanks go to Marine Biologist Rick for his fascinating explanations and guidance. A few minor points for improvement: • The boutique could offer a wider selection of decorative items or Four Seasons-branded products, something we enjoy collecting as souvenirs of our stays. • We also noticed that the bar staff began closing the bar while we were still there, even though it was not yet 10 p.m. These are small details that did not affect our overall experience in any significant way. Staying at Four Seasons Mauritius was not just a stay — it was a true experience. We look forward to returning.
