⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We spent 9 wonderful nights at Hotel Lava Beach and had a fantastic stay from start to finish. The hotel is exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and professionally managed. It has a stylish, relaxed atmosphere while still being a great choice for families with older children. The food deserves special praise. Both the breakfast and the dinner buffet were outstanding, with a great variety of high-quality dishes that exceeded our expectations every day. There are excellent sports and wellness facilities, and the spa is outstanding – perfectly organized, peaceful, and definitely worth visiting. The location is another highlight. The promenade starts right outside the hotel, and you can even access excellent snorkeling spots within just a few minutes from the hotel entrance. The entire property is beautifully maintained, completely barrier-free, and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly and reliably every day. Free and secure underground parking is another great advantage. Overall, Hotel Lava Beach offers an exceptional combination of comfort, quality, service, and location. We felt at home throughout our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel but missing the overall luxury of the 5 stars, mainly due to lack of service in the hotel. It prides itself on being a pure relaxation hotel but I think that contributed to a very hands off approach from staff members. We weren't welcomed in to the restaurant all week, the doors are closed all the time so isn't very inviting. Pool area is sooo quiet, it leaves you almost nervous to have fun and enjoy yourself. Just being allowed to play throw and catch in a near empty pool would be nice but it's banned. Main downside is the hotel design, it doesn't make the most of the location. The sea is obscured from view in the pool area as they built around the pool, the immediate impression when checking in is that the reception area is quite basic and doesn't scream luxury. The room is very nice and well equipped but the beds are 2 singles pushed together, doesn't make for a cosy romantic night as a couple. We didn't struggle to find loungers at any time during the day was was nice, the reserving of beds is highly discouraged here. Food was good, for the price we paid I feel half board should be standard and not an extra cost. The restaurants are under utilised in the evenings. There are a lot of bars and restaurants close by though. Overall aimed at the slightly older clientele I think, definitely not aimed at families which it does say on their website but isn't clear on TUI so bear that in mind.

Fabulous 5* hotel, immaculate inside and out, lovely friendly staff. Hotel rooms were fantastic, extremely comfy beds and pillows. Spotlessly clean. Mini bar with complimentary wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee and water. Water bottle refills daily. Maid service daily. Fantastic views of sea,Padel and pitch & put. Good entertainment, food excellent and food display lovely. Sometimes not as hot as you would like but this is minor considering how many people are catered for and the different combinations. All food cooked was great. Excellent facilities and daily aqua class and yoga. Stella very helpful also Vanessa (omelette chef) lovely and many other staff members but can't remember names. Very close to the airport so we wrote first drop off and last pickup which was great, plane's coming in/out wasn't an issue with noise etc. We are already planning our return in October. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our time at Hotel Lava Beach was absolutely exceptional. The sea view room was excellent and, without a doubt, worthy of the upgrade. It was meticulously cleaned to the highest possible standard every single day by Vanessa and the rest of the hardworking housekeeping team. ​The food and drinks service across the board—whether dining in the restaurants, relaxing in the piano bar, or lounging by the pool—was simply wonderful. I have to give a special mention to Joan at the pool bar for providing consistently great service, as well as Zania up at the rooftop bar for making our evenings so enjoyable. ​The location is stunning, situated right on Matagorda beach. A huge compliment is also owed to the grounds team; the hotel gardens are beautifully cultivated with fascinating plant life that attracted beautiful swarms of butterflies during our stay. The staff kept the entire area, including the pool, spotlessly clean. ​A solid 10/10. The hospitality was so impressive that I have already booked a return visit!

Gorgeous hotel. Super clean and well maintained, great service and generally super lovely staff. Very welcoming. Attentive over dinner. Joan was a great server!! We really enjoyed the saxophonist in the evening. Nice and quiet when we went. No fighting for beds or classic ‘all inclusive’ vibes. Just pure relaxation and luxury! The hotel is a 2 min walk from express store. Straight onto the beach and promenade. 5k walk to a super pretty town towards Playa Honda. Ten mins to local bars and gift shops.
