We are on our 9th day of an 11 day holiday, booked for rest and relaxation following a very stressful year of illnesses and. Bereavement. Our intention was to relax by the pool read our books and chose this particular hotel as no noisy children. Although the weather was cold we still lay on the loungers. A few days later, some loungers had disappeared and so had the pool water! Noisy renovations are still ongoing with tile chippings flying everywhere so impossible to relax. This morning at breakfast after 5mins eating a loud banging began so we left without finishing. This hotel is beautiful with hard working pleasant staff but lacks 4*+ in many aspects. Food is repetitive, tasty but always cold and invariably certain things run out, leaving even lesser choice Rooms are beautiful and very clean with super comfy beds but like the entire resort, need some radical updating. I am counting down the hours to our departure and regretting spending £2.5k on this holidayas feeling more stressed than before I arrived. Would I come again? Definitely not. Would I recommend it to anyone? Only if you like noise and flying debris but make sure to bring your hard hat.

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we were kindly upgraded for my birthday, which was a really nice touch. We arrived before check‑in and were given our all‑inclusive wristbands straight away, so we could enjoy lunch and drinks while we waited. The only downside was the lack of information at check‑in. Nothing was explained as no details about towel collection, restaurant times, facilities, or even check‑out were given. We thought there might be an an information sheet in the room but there was not, so we had to figure everything out ourselves. We didn’t realise there was an indoor pool until our last day. The food was generally good, the Asian section was consistently fab, and for what we paid it felt fair value. The staff were the highlight of the stay! The waitresses, bartenders, chefs, and floor staff were all warm, friendly, and so hardworking, especially considering they often seemed to be juggling lots of guests. A special shout‑out to Samin in the bar, who looked after us every evening — he’s an absolute credit to the hotel! Overall, a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff but would have been great to have that core information provided on the first day

I have the misfortune of staying at JAAL Riyadh Resort, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst short break experiences of my life. First off, the lack of functioning TVs was absurd, there were also no streaming casting services, no available Netflix. It's 2026 — how is this even possible? The food was an absolute disaster. I’ve never encountered such terrible cuisine in my entire life. To make matters worse, it became clear that they recycle food from dinner for lunch. It was actually disgusting to think about the hours it had been sitting around. To make matters even worse, I witnessed animals eating off the buffet. It was absolutely appalling! When I brought this disturbing issue to the attention of the manager and the server in the area, their response was shocking. They simply removed the affected food and then put it right back out on the buffet for guests to eat. I made sure to keep an eye on this, and it was unacceptable. It was clear that hygiene and quality were not priorities at this resort. This experience solidified my decision that JAAL Riyadh Resort is not a place I would ever recommend to anyone. The weather didn't help either, it was so bad that no one could use the pool or enjoy any outdoor activities. and there is an inside pool which they charge you to use for 20 minutes!!! As for the amenities — I had issues with the iron in my room. Despite calling three times for a replacement, they just attempted to fix the one I had, which still didn’t work. To top it all off, I found the hotel itself to be an absolute letdown, tarnished by poor maintenance and management. The only positive aspect of my stay was the friendliness of the front-of-house manager, who was genuinely polite. Sadly, their kindness couldn’t make up for the overall experience at this hotel. If you’re looking for a pleasant holiday, I strongly advise you to stay far away from JAAL Riyadh Resort. It was honestly the worst holiday I've ever had. Save your money and choose a different place!

Lovely pretty hotel close to the city centre and medina. On the flight path but not a problem if you dont mind the noise every few hours. Hotel rooms are good, some in need of a little modernisation but perfectly comfortable. Air con worked well. Choose a pool view if you can, the garden view rooms are fine but view covered by trees. Pool area and outside areas well maintained, spa area very well kept with an excellent gym with modern technogym equipment. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The bars and restaurants were good. We visited at a quiet time of year and staff were quick to rectify any problems. Food in the main buffet restaurant was good, items well labelled, selection was fine albeit a bit repetitive.

Myself and my wife stayed at Jaal Riad Resort in early-mid November and a had a lovely stay - it was quiet at that time of the year. Staff are friendly and v helpful - Katour at the dining room (and others) tried to teach me a few words of Moroccan. The rooms were great and room service was excellent. Quite a few guests there for short Golf holidays so that looks popular. Highly recommended and just a 10-minute taxi to the Souk. The airport transfer was around 20 minutes. We would definitely go back.
