Overall a great stay for one week at the Fairmont Marrakech with the whole family in late July. The family suite is perfect for a family of four and kids! The resort is top notch, very high quality, good choice of restaurants and great pool, gym, spa facilities. The concierge team, the service staff including buggy drivers were truly amazing and provided top notch service. The quality of food was also amazing across the restaurants and pool bar. In particular the Italian restaurant was a favourite for us! Special shout out to Salah and Lahcen who were in particularly amazing every day helping us and going the extra mile! One small downer was our check in - we had booked via British Airways Holidays which included a free upgrade on arrival (subject to availability) - we were informed the accommodation one level above was not available during our stay although when checking online on the Fairmont website this was showing as bookable and available! So was not the best start….

We had a lovely 1 week stay on half board as a family with kids. From the moment we arrived we were upgraded to a beautiful large family suite, and honestly it was grand! Miri took us for a tour in the buggy cart of the grounds as to there everything was and even gave us a tour of the rooms and explained everything, he was extremely helpful during our stay and catered every need. The staff at Fairmont all go above and beyond at this magnificent hotel they are already aware of your every need without even asking. It's so lovely how they all call you be your name early on, they really make the experience personable. The grounds are lovely, the pools are spacious - our kids had a fab time as they had a kids pool too. Oliviers is great to get a bit of food outside or by the pool. Room service are amazing they kept our room looking immaculate and stocked up our coffee and water. Breakfast buffet was exceptional, such an wide variety of pastries and danishes, egg station, cereals, fruits, there's something for everyone. Once again the staff are very attentive and really get to know you, After day 2 staff knew exactly what coffees I liked to order and would have it ready before me even asking. Big shout out to Driss for always being so warm and welcoming throughout the day, always smiling and making sure we were ok and had everything we needed. The restaurants for dinner also didn't disappoint, Al Ain is lovely for some Moroccon Lebanese food and portions are extremely generous. Thank you to all the staff there for being so kind, polite and helpful especially to Miriam for being so lovely and helpful. We also had dinner at Capricci which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the food there especially the Semifreddo dessert - it's the best! Thank you especially to Flan and Iliyas for always looking after us and our needs, I have a fussy 5 year old and they always made sure he was catered for. All the staff are really professional and their customer service is top level, we were left so impressed I cannot praise them enough. They are a huge asset to Fairmont and really do justice to the brand. This was our first time at the resort and honestly I'd come back again because of how amazing the customer experience is. Yes it's a big resort and you will need a buggy cart most of the time but it's a great experience in getting around, you can still walk to main areas of the resort but cart is still fun to take. The resort is about 20mins from the airport, 20 to 25 mins to Menara Mall and M Avenue- which isn't actually too bad of a drive. There is an onsite gym at this resort, spa and hairdressers which was lovely, great facilities including a womens only pool within the spa and the gym has a large pool of its own. Tennis courts are really good, my family really enjoyed this! Overall we had a fabulous stay, thank you to every single member of staff for giving us such wonderful memories, your customer service and the experience you provide is top level, because of this experience we look forward to coming back. See you soon!

When evaluating long-standing establishments in the city, many rely on superficial updates to mask poor foundation, but the Royal York is an absolute clinic in architectural heritage and operational durability. It stands as a robust, beautifully maintained anchor directly opposite Union Station. The structural scale of the lobby is genuinely impressive. They have managed to preserve the classic, heavy limestone masonry and grand hand-carved ceilings while integrating modern, high-traffic infrastructure seamlessly. It feels incredibly solid, timeless & completely insulated from the frantic, disorganized rush of the streets outside. From a service and engineering perspective, the efficiency is remarkably high for a facility of this scale. The mechanical layouts, elevator response times & general building upkeep are pristine. I spent an evening at the Library Bar inside, and the execution was flawless - the classic martinis are balanced with mathematical precision & the service staff operates with a quiet, disciplined professionalism that you rarely see in newer, trendier venues. It's dependable, exceptionally built & handles high-volume operations without a single glitch. If you value historical substance, structural excellence, and reliable, old-school standards, this is the premier architectural landmark in Toronto.

The hotel is a beautifully maintained oasis on the outskirts of Marrakech. While it sits away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina, the city centre is still only around 20–30 minutes away by taxi, allowing to enjoy the best of both worlds easy access to Marrakech when desired and complete tranquillity when returning to the resort. The setting is spectacular, with wonderful views of the Atlas Mountains providing a stunning backdrop throughout the day. The grounds themselves are immaculate, with mature palm trees, magnificent old olive trees and beautifully maintained gardens that are clearly cared for with great attention to detail. What truly sets this property apart, however, is the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was warm, friendly, professional and genuinely eager to help. Most spoke excellent French and English, and what impressed me most was their sense of ownership. Rather than simply passing requests on, they would personally ensure things were taken care of. We were located slightly further from the main hotel facilities, yet the buggy service was so efficient that it often seemed to arrive almost before we had finished calling for it, regardless of the time of day. We travelled as a family with our 11-year-old son and found the room exceptionally spacious. The large terrace overlooking the gardens was a lovely place to relax, while the bedding was of excellent quality and ensured a restful night's sleep. Housekeeping was outstanding, servicing the room twice daily, leaving thoughtful evening touches, and ensuring fresh bottled water was always replenished without us ever needing to ask. The bathroom was enormous, almost a room in itself, featuring a large shower, separate bath, double sinks, separate WC and a cleverly designed dressing area with integrated wardrobes that felt more like a private walk-in wardrobe. The pool facilities are among the best we have experienced. The main pool is huge, with well-designed areas for both adults and children. The water temperature was perfect, and the staff's gesture of providing complimentary inflatables for our son was a lovely touch that enhanced the family experience. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed the spa. She experienced several treatments during our stay and spoke particularly highly of the hammam, both for the quality of the treatment itself and the professionalism of the spa team. Although we did not dine in the main restaurants, we enjoyed several lunches by the pool and found the food to be consistently excellent. The relaxed atmosphere and quality of the dishes meant we never felt the need to venture elsewhere for lunch. No hotel is perfect, and there are a few minor observations worth mentioning. The hotel arranged transportation is very professional, with excellent vehicles and knowledgeable drivers, but it does come at a premium compared with standard local taxis. During one particularly large event being hosted at the resort, service levels were noticeably stretched, although once the event concluded everything returned to the exceptional standard we experienced throughout the rest of our stay. We also noted the absence of a visible lifeguard around the main pool and found the room lighting system unnecessarily complicated at times. These are relatively minor points in what was otherwise an outstanding stay. Fairmont Royal Palm succeeds in delivering genuine luxury without feeling pretentious. The combination of beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, family friendly facilities and outstanding value makes it a resort we would happily return to and one that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech.

We’ve had the most wonderful stay at the Fairmont Royal Palm. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel so welcome and genuinely looked after. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and everyone was consistently kind, friendly and happy to help. Travelling with two young children isn’t always easy, especially at dinner time, but the team were so patient with them. They would chat with them, keep them entertained and make them feel so special, which meant we could actually relax and enjoy our meal. Those little moments meant so much to us. The level of service throughout our stay has been exceptional, but what makes this hotel truly special is the people. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and want everyone to have the best possible experience. A special thank you to Alaa, Mouhja, Hamza, Mohammed and Maryam. You were all so kind, thoughtful and attentive, and you really made our holiday extra special. Your warmth and generosity won’t be forgotten, and you are a real credit to the Fairmont Royal Palm. Thank you to everyone for making our family holiday so memorable. We leave with wonderful memories and hope to be back again one day.
