Room, shower, location and breakfast were good. We had a rude awakening at 2am when room service walked into the room unannounced. We did not get any sleep later. Spoken to duty manager next morning. She did mention she would contact us before we left. But no update on this. On day of checkout our lights were turned off and wireless access was blocked at 10am, when the checkout clearly states 12 noon. We could not be bothered to query since previous query was not followed up. There is nothing mentioned in hotel description that you cannot bring outside alcohol or food in the hotel. But when you get there that is the case. So if you want to bring your own alcohol or food don't book this hotel. Also pretty sure that you will get better service and rooms for the same price at other hotels in Marrakech. Definitely not coming back to this hotel.

Savoy Le Grand is in a great location,close to Menera mall which is linked to the hotel by a door. There are various restaurants near the hotel and W bar is right next to the hotel. The hotel is nice and clean,room was clean and moderately sized. We had breakfast which had a variety of Morrocan dishes amd intercontinental dishes,the issue i had was the staff at the restaurant were too quick to pack the buffet food they actually pack up the food while guests are still eating. The swimming pool was nice,clean and big but quite cold,guess its the time of the year because i visited in October. There is a bar by the pool which i enjoyed,there was good music and variety of cocktails and drinks. I found their drinks to be quite pricey though. Overall i would stay at Savoy Le Grand hotel because of its location and proximity to bars and restaurants.

Everything here was fabulous! They even made a huge effort for my birthday with rose petals and pillows and cake! So nice. Loved it! Great location to walk into the Medina and the breakfast was really great - so much choice. Everyone super friendly. Choice of quiet pool away from families too :-)

It's a pity for the location that this hotel is managed by some not very well trained people and bad practices related to guests. The room was good but they failed to do basic checks and our water boiler was leaking water. I told reception but they forgot to change it. The majorvissue we had withvthis 200E/night hotel was the noise from construction work and the deceiving politics related to the spa. The noise: they are doing major overhauls and starting eith breakfast you only hear construction equipment at the main pool and eating area. Again we are talking about a 200E/night accomodation not a riad in medina. The other surprise for me was that they request 20E for 1 hour access to the spa wich only has a poor maintained jacuzzi and 2 pitiful finnish saunas , if you even can call those saunas. The door of the sauna has a big hole at the bottom and your feet feel cold inside, there is no sauna tiner inside or sauna relaxing music. Also tgere is no drinking water awailable or immediate cold shower for when you are done with a sauna session. Am I requesting too much from a 200E/night hotel that also requests 20E/hour access to a spa/sauna that does nit even match what some of us,sauna livers have at home. Inside the sauna all screws are at sight, some of them covered by plastic masking buttons. Alsovtge light mounts snd masks are of plastic. Really??? Plastic in a 90 degree sauna . What a bad joke made on guests money, time and nerves. The food at breakfast: you can get the same at a 50E/night riad in medina. After I pointed all these to hotel staff tgey offerred late checkout for us in one dsy saying that we can leave 2 hours prior to our airplane departure whichvwas 17:00. Next day tgey said it was still ok withvthe late checkout but tgay said they can only do until 15:00. Hmmmm... after 12 we went to our room and surprise the keycards were deactivated. Yeah, 200E/night hotel... I really do not recommend this , it wilk be a waste of money, time, nerves and holiday.

Major construction works - from the looks of it, it will take the best part of a year to complete, the hotel are adding three floors on top of the main building and are renovating the rooms and other areas of the hotel. Be prepared for extremely noisy major construction work waking you up daily at 8am until the evening. We couldn't use the main swimming pool as the workmen were re-grouting the floor tiles and unless you want to be watched by all the builders and listen to very loud building work. The balcony door to our hotel room was broken and didn't lock so we had to wait on the first day for someone from facilities to come and replace the handle and fix the lock which took a huge chunk out of our first evening, as we called down to reception twice and then had to go down to get someone as no one came. Breakfast is big but bland. Location is taxi journey to main attractions but short journey to the airport. Cleanliness in the hotel room was subpar - public hairs and hair on the floor, crumbs and something sticky in the draws.
