I stayed at this resort for one week and I would like to leave an honest and constructive review, especially because I also manage a hotel myself and fully understand the challenges of this industry. For that reason, some aspects of my stay stood out—not from the perspective of a demanding tourist, but from that of a colleague who pays attention to how hospitality is being delivered. The first major issue is the location: the resort is extremely isolated, and there are no practical options for independent transportation. No taxis, no Grab, and the only available transfers are the ones organized by the hotel, which are limited and always come at an extra cost. This forces guests to rely on the hotel for everything, which is not in line with a guest-friendly approach. The restaurant is convenient, but the prices are very high compared to standard prices in Thailand, and every bill comes with additional service and tax charges. Only after a few days, by walking along the beach, we found small local restaurants that were much more authentic, fair, and welcoming than the hotel’s dining options. The room was spacious, but maintenance and cleaning were below expectations. I used the bathtub on the first day and it was never cleaned again. Shower gel was not restocked, and the toilet paper was extremely poor quality. These may seem like small details, but in the hospitality industry we know that the small details are exactly what make a guest feel cared for. We used the self-service laundry, and unfortunately our clothes came out with an unpleasant smell, likely due to ineffective washing or drying. The staff was always polite, but somewhat distant. I understand perfectly how difficult it can be to deal with international guests, but basic communication in English—especially at reception—is essential. Sometimes a simple smile or a small gesture of attention can change an entire stay. Lastly, the late check-out: we had a late evening flight and asked to keep the room longer. We were allowed to stay until 2pm for free, but staying until 7pm required an additional fee which I found quite excessive. I know that policies vary from hotel to hotel, but in my own property, if the room is available, we always try to accommodate guests without charging extra. A little flexibility goes a long way in building customer loyalty. In conclusion, the resort has potential and the location is beautiful, but the overall experience did not meet the expectations or the level that the property tries to represent. With more attention to detail, greater transparency in costs, and a more guest-oriented approach, it could truly become an excellent place to stay. I say this with respect, as a colleague in hospitality: I hope this feedback is taken seriously, not just dismissed. Because in the end, every hotelier knows that an unhappy guest doesn’t want to complain—they just want to feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.

**Review – Wonderful Stay at Kantary Hotel** Kantary Hotel is beautiful and spacious, offering everything you need for a relaxing stay. We would like to especially commend the staff for their kindness and attentiveness. Our room was very well taken care of by **Khun Ken**, whom we met every morning at the restaurant, always smiling and greeting us warmly. The room was clean and fully equipped. At the reception, the staff were professional, helpful, and friendly at all times, especially **Khun Guide, Khun Dao, Khun Tuptim, and Khun Ball**. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The beach chairs were plentiful and located right by the sea, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We had a wonderful stay and are already planning to return.

Best memories hotel forever ❤️ I start to stay here around 2011 since there opened. My son had a lot good memories here since we was 2 or 3 years old and now he 16! Everything still in standard quality although the facilities getting age( off course more than 10 years) the best thing here is the beach that beautiful clean and quiet for the resting day and escape from the mass out there. Breakfast always good quality and clean dining area. Staff was nice as always and room a lot of comfortable even its had a smell of old but I can accepted because I want to support ours local hotel and want they stay in business as long as it will be. I came back to Thai every year and last year I stay in the big resort up north from Kantary there’s was very good even upgrade my room to villa too but for next visit my son request to back to stay here. He told me there’s nice bigger but don’t have the same memories😂

**Kantary Hotel – A Truly Complete Stay** Kantary Hotel is a perfect place for a relaxing stay, offering cleanliness, spaciousness, and a comfortable atmosphere. We would like to especially commend all the staff, particularly at the reception: **Khun Ken, Khun Pop, Khun Guine, Khun Dao, Khun Tuptim, and Khun Kwang**. They were professional, attentive, and made our stay smooth and very enjoyable. The breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options. The beach area is spacious, with plenty of chairs, located right by the sea, making it easy to fully relax and enjoy the surroundings.

We had a very bad start that got better over the days. The checkin was horrible, she kept asking to see a voucher for the booking while our agent website had technical issues, though she found our booking in her system and verified the IDs. At no point she accepted to see the voucher later. Second day we had an encounter with one staff member that was every unfriendly. We asked if there were any box jelly fish spotted and he and he answered unfriendly he does not know and then muffled something in Rhai under his breath. There is no free shuttle to the village (thogh all hotels in the area offer it) and no possibility to escape without their overpriced shuttle that is 600 per ride - scooter rental available only limited, there was no availability when we requested. Rooms very moldy and smelling bad, they are in urgent need of airing. Very very outdated rooms. The beach is nice, but totally not worth it to stay at this hotel. Another positive, hotel was very peaceful and quiet. Restaurant was totally overpriced.
