After spending five wonderful days in a boutique hotel 5* in Krabi, we arrived at this hotel in Phuket for the next four nights, paying even more per night than in Krabi — around €500 per night for a double room with breakfast. From the very first moments, it was a total disappointment. The hotel is huge and extremely crowded, with no Thai character or charm at all. The rooms are spacious, but the furniture is poor quality, more like a 3-star hotel in Europe. There was a strong smell of dampness in the room, and visible mold in the bathroom, which is completely unacceptable at this price level. We had a sea view room, but opening the terrace door meant being immediately invaded by mosquitoes. On top of that, sun loungers were placed directly in front of the room, with people sitting there all day, completely blocking the view and any sense of privacy. The beach is public, with sunbeds packed tightly next to each other, offering no feeling of exotic Thailand — it felt crowded, noisy, and impersonal. Breakfast was served in a very crowded restaurant. While the selection was large, the quality of the food was poor and far below expectations for a hotel charging these rates. This is clearly a mass tourism hotel. I can only assume that most guests booked it through heavily discounted packages (perhaps at one-third of the price), because paying €500 per night for this experience is simply unjustifiable. The only positive aspect is that after one night, the hotel refunded the remaining nights, and we were lucky to find availability at another hotel for a slightly higher price. The difference was huge — the beach, the hotel, and the overall experience were incomparable and fully worth the price. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet expectations in any way and cannot be recommended.

From the moment we arrived, the lush grounds and that endless turquoise sea stole our breaths – and it only got better. *The Resort:* Spacious rooms, manicured lawns, and a private beach that feels like your own slice of heaven. Every corner is Instagram‑worthy, and the sunset views were second to none *Dining:* Multiple restaurants, each a standout. Fresh seafood, authentic Thai, poolside bites – we devoured our way across the resort and never once disappointed. The buffet breakfast spread was really great *The Team:* Denis, the hotel manager, deserves a raise and a medal. Friendly, attentive, and ridiculously proactive. Thank you for helping us when we had a small problem *Extras:* A world‑class spa – the resort’s got activities if you want ’em, chill vibes if you don’t. The beach was immaculate, the pool’s were clean, and the cocktails? On point. We didn’t want to leave. We will be back Alan Halfon and Family

Location was quiet and far from popular areas but the beach was stunning and worth the extra 10 mins in the car. Rooms were not huge but had everything you need - we were barely in them. Service was impeccable. Grounds were impeccable. Beach view was impeccable. Food was impeccable. Absolutely loved every minute at Katathani Resort - we will be back

Great hotel running along side Kata Noi beach with amazing facilties and the best staff. So friendly and helpful. Will return to this hotel. Nice quiet location for families but only 5min from Kata for a busier night out if desired. We were here with 20 family members and they catered for us very well. Just need to allow more time in the restaurants if there is lots of you. There is a buffet option which was the quickest. We experienced the Christmas Eve Gala which was expensive but worth every penny. The food was exceptional and we had some entertainment 👌

We spent 4 days and 3 nights here. This is such a great place to relax and enjoy. The private beach is safe and super clean. We could watch the sunset every evening with peaceful vibes. The room, pools, pool bar, restaurants, foods, and live music are great. The staffs are very nice, polite, kind, and helpful. Thank you very much. We will definitely come back.
