I had a great experience with my family here. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly each day and the staff was very friendly! The food has a nice variety and a nice live cooking area, this makes the food extra fresh. The bar was nice. I especially love how energetic the entertainment team was throughout our stay. I loved the location with nice beach attached (You can even rent a paddle board). Some minor feedback: Snackbar felt lacking in quality. The food was probably sitting there very long. And dining is at 19:00 which is normal in Spain but the little ones might want to eat a bit earlier. The coffee at the buffet was not good, but the quality at the bar was fantastic.

We stayed at the Occidental Cala Viñas last year and had a very good experience, which is exactly why we decided to come back this year. Unfortunately, this stay has been deeply disappointing. Even though our room was clearly ready around 11 AM — we literally met the cleaning lady finishing the room outside our door — we were still forced to wait until 3 PM to receive the key. I understand hotel policies and check-in times, so this alone would not have been a major issue. The real problem started when we entered the room. There was a very strong sewage smell in the room, and the room itself was extremely small for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. I asked about upgrading the room and was fully prepared to pay the price difference shown on the Barcelo website as if I were booking the room directly at that moment. However, the reception staff tried to charge almost double, explaining that upgrades are calculated per person, including children — something that is not reflected when booking through the Barcelo website. Even after agreeing to pay, I had to spend another 40 minutes at reception while three different employees changed shifts and tried to figure out how to do their job properly. There were also multiple frustrating interactions with the reception staff during the stay. For example, I asked four separate times throughout the day for bedding and a baby crib. It was finally delivered only at 9:30 PM. What makes this even more disappointing is that some parts of the hotel are actually very good. The food is excellent, and the restaurant staff work hard and genuinely try to make the stay pleasant. They deserve recognition because they are doing a much better job than the reception team. Sadly, this year’s experience was nowhere near the level we experienced previously, and at the moment it does not feel like a hotel we would want to return to again.

We had a great time at Occidental Cala Viñas, and the 'We Happy' animation team was fantastic with the activities. However, it is very frustrating that the team takes photos and videos of the quests kids and families during the games but there is no clear, accessible way for guests to see or get them. Management should look into a secure way to share these holiday memories with costumers !

Today is my last day at this hotel and I have mixed feelings. The hotel really has something to work on and it would be good if they did it. because previous reviews have repeatedly written about it. Service: When we checked in, no one showed us to our room or helped us with our suitcases. Even after asking. This definitely does not correspond to the 4* level. You can be tired after the road and wander for a long time, because all the rooms are like a maze. We noticed that we had a late check-out and we wanted to do a "late checkout". We said this when checking in, during our stay and the day before. On the day we needed it, we were refused. They offered to leave our luggage in the room with other luggage. It is unknown who will be responsible for our luggage. The guy at the reception "Ruben" did not offer any solution to the problem. This is the first time we have encountered such a lack of service. Even in 3* hotels it was more pleasant. On the other hand, the staff in the restaurant is very pleasant and polite. The waiter Sergio won our hearts. Although it is clear that this is not enough for such a large number of guests. You should think about increasing the staff or reducing the number of guests. Food: Everything here was delicious and varied, 4* Location: There are bus stations nearby if necessary, convenient taxi stops and you can quickly get to Palma. Beach: Beautiful sea and bay. They need to work on someone cleaning the coastline better in windy weather, just this) Rooms: Standard rooms, nothing special. Maybe it is a little short of the 4* level, but we came not to stay in the room.

Stayed here at end of April. Hotel is beautiful. Food is great for all inclusive. Entertainment was spot on too. Couldn’t recommend enough for families. Family room was spot on
