Recently stayed here as parents with a 2yo and 5yo in an interconnecting junior suite. This was our first ever Bali trip and stay in a resort as a family: Pros: - amenities wise, incredible for kids. Water park, main pool, kids club (which we didn't leave the kids in but was fab for a play to break up activities), supervised kids play area at breakfast, bowling alley, nightly marshmallow roasting and movies were amazing. Could not fault and kids were devastated to leave! - grounds, bars and restaurants were beautiful - physical setting by the beach was beautiful to look at - rooms decent size, mostly fresh and comfortable. The interconnecting set up made us have more space than we needed! Really good - housekeeping left some fun towel characters for the kids which they loved (thanks gus yoga and bian!) - breakfast variety was great and kids also loved this - room service was really accommodating to some small off menu requests eg some streamed veg for the kids etc - great gym fit out and the departure lounge was comfy to base ourselves from for the last day while we hung around for a late flight Improvements: - service was hit and miss. Some service was consistently amazing (reception, Fevri at the main pool), some mixed (breakfast) others was consistently poor (the shack by the water park) - one rooms bathroom smelled consistently - food options for kids quite limited to pretty basic meals on repeat at most of the restaurants - hot dog, spaghetti and meatballs, burger and chips. Limited lunch options for during the day. - food in general was expensive compared to what you got - Sydney prices and sometimes more for ok quality. A 'steak' sandwich which was 300k rupiah was a hand sized brioche with what was more like roast beef shavings. We considered going all inclusive and opted not to (kept breakfast) and ended up heading to the Bali collection next door or other close by venues for more variety and value.

Exceeded all expectations. I travelled with my 16yo daughter as a last minute trip during mid year school holidays. Everything I would normally consider was fully booked. The thought of kids clubs and all inclusive food and drink conjures up something it wasn’t. The food, the service the attention to detail was incredible. We booked a premier garden room and it was great. We stayed 7 nights and left only to enjoy an included temple tour. Room service is included if you wish. The fridge in our room included beers, soft drinks and snacks replenished daily. You can almost dine at a different restaurant every night. I had the most relaxing week. If I had young kids then consider upgrading to their family concierge program even if to enjoy a less chaotic buffet breakfast. Or if no kids their Reserve rooms which include an exclusive restaurant and a pool with luxury cabanas (and nicer towels) and no kids shouting. Either way, go all inclusive. My tip is to book all restaurants before arrival or at least on the day of your arrival. We didn’t which meant we ate around 8-8.30pm each day. Wasn’t a problem for us but adjusted for Australian time we were eating much later than we normally would. When I travel I tend in stay in high end hotels so for me this was a bargain. Yet it remained a luxurious stay. I will miss pressing the buzzer beside my lounge and having cocktails and food delivered to me in true Balinese hospitality. I will also miss my morning ritual enjoying a coffee at kopi petani. I could go on. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed at Paradisus by Meliá for 7 nights as a family of six (2 adults, 2 children, and 2 grandparents). After booking nine months in advance and reading so many glowing reviews, we were excited to experience a true 5-star resort. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The resort itself is beautiful. The gardens are immaculate, the main pool has a great atmosphere, and the kids loved the water slides. The beach was another highlight, and we enjoyed spending time there as a family. Our biggest disappointment was the service. We requested connecting rooms months before arrival but were told we'd need to pay an extra USD $600, with no guarantee. We ended up with rooms next to each other, meaning my husband and I had to sleep separately with one child each. Our room also had a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom throughout our stay. Despite reporting it several times over 6 days, the issue was never resolved. Breakfast was inconsistent, with basic buffet items regularly running out, slow drink service, and even children's juice attracting an additional charge. We also found communication difficult at times due to the language barrier. The elevators frequently broke down, and we felt there was a noticeable difference in the level of service provided to bed and breakfast guests compared with all-inclusive guests. Overall, Paradisus by Meliá has fantastic facilities and beautiful grounds, but the customer service, maintenance issues, and overall guest experience fell short of what we expect from a 5-star resort

I recently stayed at Paradisus by Meliá Bali and had an unreal experience. The service across the resort was top quality, but I’ve got to give a special mention to Ryan by the pool — his service was genuinely out of this world. He was always switched on, super friendly, and made sure we were looked after the whole time. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Big thanks as well to Widhi, Suastika, Agung and Irsyad — all of them were professional, welcoming and made the stay even better. Paradisus is 100% the best resort in Nusa Dua. Definitely coming back.

This review is specifically about the complimentary day excursions offered by the hotel (dependent on room type). We joined two excursions on two different days, (a) Uluwatu Temple 1600-1930 hrs, and (b) Tanah Lot & Taman Ayun 0730-1400 hrs Both were led by Mr Panji who was excellent. He provided information about the points of interest, answered all our questions, made sure everyone was comfortable, and provided water (he even carried some bottles in his backpack so that we had access to water while we were out and about, and didn't have to wait till we were back in the coach). We certainly felt very well taken care of. Thanks also to the coach driver Mr Eko whose skilful and safe driving got us from hotel to temples and back in good time. Overall, i would certainly recommend these excursions!
