We had a wonderful stay at Pelangi Beach Resort in Langkawi. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely tropical setting, beautiful gardens and a stunning beachfront location. It really feels like a peaceful escape from the moment you arrive. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was very relaxing. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is also excellent, with plenty of restaurants, shops and cafés nearby, so there was always something to do outside the resort as well. One of our favourite things was simply walking around the grounds and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The pools and beach area were lovely, and the sunsets were particularly beautiful. Overall, Pelangi Beach Resort was a fantastic choice for our Langkawi trip. It has a great combination of beautiful surroundings, a relaxing atmosphere, good facilities and genuinely friendly service. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Langkawi.

Top class service. There were about 15 groups of people checking in / waiting to check in when we arrived, but the process was done in 15 minutes. Special mention to Nas who is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We had an (electricity) issue with the room but most importantly - it was handled professionally. The service team were all top notch, from the main counter, to concierge, housekeeping, buggy services, f&b, swimmimg pool, kids club. Food was great as well - kids loved it

Everything about ambience of this resort is just perfect - the welcome drink, the rooms were spacious, the infinity pool was amazing where both children and adults can use. All amenities were provided - sunset view with planes landing right across the beachwalk of the resort near swimming pool is biggest highlight. The food was below average - The Indian vegetarian thali was served with jam and tomato sauce as side dish with rice (quite disappointing).

Bad: - Resort feels like a 5 star but service is a 3 star - Took very long to process check-in - Provides the option of half board (to choose either lunch or dinner). We are staying only for a night. When we asked if we can opt for lunch tomorrow after checkout at 12pm, they said no, we can only choose dinner. Check-in is from 3pm, so why give us the option to choose lunch or dinner if we can’t opt to do lunch the next day? Who’s gonna have lunch after 3pm on check-in day? - Asked for late check-out but staff simply said it’s full so we have to check out at the normal timing at 12pm. This is unusual for a resort of this scale as they would usually at least offer late check-out at 12.30pm. - Breakfast at Spice Market Restaurant is a 5/10. 80% of the Asian food are Indian food. Limited options for Chinese and Malay food. Western selection for breakfast is ok. Food taste wise is so-so. Good: - Pelangi Grill does very good seafood dishes - Nice room and view - Nice and big pool - Spacious bathroom for the lake view room Conclusion: I would have chosen to return if not for the poor service. Management should look at improving the service provided by staff to match other 5-star resorts.

Very disappointing service for a hotel that claims to be 5-star. The hotel does not allow food delivery riders to deliver food to the lobby, so guests are forced to walk all the way to the main gate just to collect their food. It honestly feels more like staying in a school than a 5-star hotel. Basic guest convenience should not be this difficult. If the hotel wants to maintain a 5-star standard, these basic aspects of guest service and hospitality should be taken seriously. The service is simply unacceptable for a hotel claiming to provide a 5-star experience. 5-star pricing, but the service is nowhere near 5-star.
