Compared to a 5☆ hotel, the rooms are quite outdated, but when we had a problem, they solved it. The bed was comfortable and big, the view is good and the center of Funchal is close. What I didn't like at all was that you have to pay for parking, I think that a hotel of this size should provide parking for its guests. We were able to park in the casino's parking lot, of course it was for a fee, it was about 15€ from 8 in the evening to 10 in the morning, but this is a lot for several days... you are better off if you park in the small streets because you don't have to pay for parking there at night. The food was very monotonous, it was the same every morning, and at dinner I expected more from a 5☆ hotel. You have to pay for what you drink at dinner. Overall it was good but I wouldn't come back.

Good stay overall, but the hotel clearly needs some serious modernization. The location is excellent, close to the city center. The staff was polite, but could be more welcoming. Best part of our stay was the breakfast... Plenty of warm and cold choices, fresh fruit and veggies, great bread and pastry. Our room was pretty dated, but beds are comfortable, the balcony was great and useful. The bathroom could be more cleaner and shower is pretty narrow. The room was quiet and the view was great. The wifi was fast and stable. The elevators are slow and should be more of them. The pools are good, but expect colder water. There is sauna and steam room. Overall decent comfort, but too expensive for the current condition.

Maybe standards are different depending on where you go, but this is certainly not a five star hotel. That’s not to say we had a bad experience, but if you’re going here expecting an all round 5 star experience you will be disappointed. The positives are that the location is very convenient, only a short walk into Funchal old town. The rooftop pool, indoor poor and outdoor pool are all great. The hotel itself feels a bit soulless and outdated. The staff were all friendly but not what you’d expect from a 5 star either. The buffet breakfast had lots of options but again not the best quality. The rooms were good but nothing fancy. Nice large flat screen tv but it can’t connect to the internet so wasn’t really of any use to us as we couldn’t use any apps or cast from our phones. Requested a double bed but were given two singles instead. Beds were comfy at least. Lots of people visiting Madeira will rent a car and for a 5 star hotel to only have 5 free parking spaces is a bit strange. There is a second car park which is a first come first served system and costs €15 per day. Overall we had a nice stay and didnt have any real complaints but the hotel should really be a 4 star.

First I would like to say many thanks to all the team in the hotel because they made our experience excell the expectations, always ready to help with the room service parking and any other requests . Food was excellent especially breakfast a variety of local products plus the fruit was amazing the buffet for dinner was also amazing. Christmas dinner was just as good. New year's eve menu ,service and programme was all matching the great finale as we experience the fireworks from the roof top excellent views. Shame we could not experience the pools gym and other amenities as we hadn't been in Madeira for about 15 years but definitely will be our place to to stay again . 4 🌟 for the rooms and the only reason was only because they need a bit of an update. Definitely we will come again as the staff made us feel at home most important so once again a big thanks to all the team as they thrive to make it all possible. We’ve just come to the end of our week stay at Pestana Casino Park and we have had a fantastic time! Firstly, the hotel is in an amazing location as it’s just a short walk from the old town and most of Funchal. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with just the usual signs of use you’d expect from a busy hotel. The outdoor areas are immaculate and there are varied spaces to enjoy the sunshine. The indoor pool, steam room, and sauna are also pristine and definitely give a touch of luxury. We stayed half board and the buffet has been fantastic. The breakfast spread is vast and has everything you could ever want. Dinner has a really good variation with different themes throughout the week. The staff and the service have been nothing short of flawless. A few servers caught our attention in particular, including Paula who was always attentive and professional; Jose, who was witty and knows exactly how to make you giggle; and Manish for being super smiley, and for just being a hard worker! Quite often we’d witnessed him running around the restaurant making sure everything was in its place, what a star! ⭐ Thank you to the Casino Park team, we’ve had a lovely stay!
