If you choose to go all inclusive, the programme generally consists of breakfast (8am to 10.30am), lunch (1pm to 3pm) and dinner (7pm to 9.30pm), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served from 11am to 10pm (except during meal times).

We have a lovely time in Quinta de Bela Vista. Our first visit to Madeira, the hotel was in a good location in a quiet neighbourhood. The grounds are cool and restful. The pool and gym facilities were spot on (10m pool meant we could get a decent swim). Three options for eating including the Mansion, which was a special treat. All made special by the staff-everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Obrigado!

The perfect retreat in Funchal. Old world family owned hotel on an historic walled estate. Magnificent views of Funchal and the sea. Quiet neighbour hood. Excellent dining. Very warm and personable staff. Special thanks Magda and Muhammad in the dining rooms and Paula, Marta and Daniel at the front desk. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel. Staff and service absolutely wonderful. A little out of the way but provides a courtesy minibus to Funchal centre during the week. Definitely an older demographic here so wouldn't necessarily recommend it for anyone under 50 or 60. Pool bar is lovely, gorgeous view from the outside seating and staff friendly and helpful

Wonderful stay here over the last week in a double garden view room - a short walk from the main hotel. Comfortable well serviced room - quiet - lovely gardens, pool and pool side bar with a good view over Funchal. Excellent food at breakfast and four course set evening meal - staff throughout the hotel and at all facilities were friendly and helpful. Yes, older demographics but them I am one of them! Stayed 7 days and would happily return for a future holiday. Good sized supermarket a short walk away and a regular bus service to and from Funchal as well as the hotel courtesy bus too. In all a first class stay and I can highly recommend this hotel. Only downside might be uneven paths, and cobbled walkways to rooms - take care and you will be fine.

If you want to be outside of the main downtown in a more peaceful area this hotel is a great choice. There is plenty of parking if you have a car. The hotel staff are all extremely kind and helpful. The grounds/gardens and pools are exceptional. I would say the breakfast is average but has a great selection. The rugs and carpets need to be updated, but the hotel itself is very historically elegant. Almost all of the guests seemed to be in the 55+ age range so it is very quiet.
