Absolutely incredible food and hospitality – a world-class experience!** We have travelled far and wide, but our stay at the Sofitel Royal Bay was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. The entire resort is impeccably clean and tidy, and the housekeeping team deserves a special mention for keeping our room in excellent condition throughout our stay. ### The Culinary Highlight 🍳 The food here is on another level. The kitchen takes immense pride in their choices, and everything from the starters to the mains and the fabulous desserts tasted incredible. Honestly, it is some of the best food we have ever had on our travels. We were completely taken back by how attentive the staff are. A huge shoutout to **Yessine**, the assistant in the evening restaurant. He went through every single dish with us, explaining its origins and how it was cooked. His passion and pride in his job were wonderful to see and made our dining experiences unforgettable. One Minor Detail The only downside to note is that the drinks are quite expensive. However, this was a minor thing and didn't spoil our holiday in any way. We had an amazing time and cannot recommend this hotel enough, especially if you appreciate great service and world-class food!

Our stay has been the most fantastic of stays. From the incredibly polite staff who go out of their way to help you to have a pleasant stay, to the small and personal touches, nothing has gone unseen and we appreciate it so much. We are already considering coming back as a mid-year stay because of how valued we are made to feel. Thank you to every member of staff - Sofitel, your staff here at the hotel are an asset to you. 🙂 I would especially like to thank Youssef at breakfast service (alongside all the other servers!), the girls at the front of house at breakfast, Soumayah at reception, Brahim and the other guys at the entrance and the cleaners on our floor who have made the stay exceptional. Thank you all, we are sad to go home, but we will be back 🙂

Amazing hotel, the interior. Quiet hotel. Breakfast and dinner is basic, not much choice. Spa lady Aicha was amazing, did a brilliant job with a Moroccan Hamman for both of us, very well done and great caring lady. Evening entainment the ladies were awesome, the DJ was sleeping and the 2 male singers - not much vibe from them

As we were leaving the hotel and waiting outside for our taxi to the airport, a security staff member came to us and told us that reception was asking us to come back inside to pay for breakfast. This was shocking, as we never had breakfast on any of the days during our stay. At reception, Khadija first tried to charge us city tax, which we had already paid on the day we arrived. After I told her this, she checked and confirmed that we were correct. She then continued insisting on verifying whether we had breakfast, calling her colleagues to “check,” despite me clearly explaining that our taxi was waiting and we were at risk of missing our flight. Replying back to your comment. We were made to wait unnecessarily, treated as if we were being dishonest, even though we repeatedly stated that we did not have breakfast. In the end, once she confirmed this, all we received was a simple “thank you” — no apology at all for the stress, delay, or accusation. This is not the level of service I expect from a Sofitel. The way we were treated at the end of our stay completely ruined the experience. Why would guests eat breakfast and not pay for it? I will never stay at this Sofitel again and would not recommend it based on how poorly this situation was handled. We would like to clarify the situation, as there appears to be a misunderstanding. We never agreed to any additional services, nor would we have done so on the day of departure, as we had an early flight. We are therefore not willing to pay for something we did not request. We clearly informed your colleague that if we decided to proceed with the service, we would pay on the day. However, we explicitly stated that we did not want to make any booking at that time. Additionally, no complimentary breakfast was ever offered or provided to us. It was incorrectly suggested that we had been receiving free breakfasts, which is not true. We were also incorrectly asked to pay the city tax again, despite it having already been settled. We kindly ask that all communication and charges reflect the factual situation accurately. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

At first glance Beautiful hotel, stunning lobby and lighting at night. Check-in and check-out was smooth and efficient. The room was spacious and clean however a little outdated and worn out. The bathroom had mould around the shower area and the door handle wouldn't close properly. Little things like that make a difference. House keeping were amazing. The breakfast buffet was a disappointment, mainly the hot drink options, they lacked quality and taste. The hotel is a bit out of the way with no shops close by. Its a 40 minute walk to the promenade/corniche but a taxi ride takes around 8-10mins and cost around 30-40mad depending on time of day which isnt too bad. The soul restaurant offers a nice ambience and shisha in the evening with beautiful outdoor seating but the hot drink options were rubbish as they didnt serve any milk based coffee drinks which was strange. The hotel spa was great, we visited twice during our stay for hamam and 90 minute massages. Overall a decent stay but sadly it does not meet the standards of a 5*
