We stayed there during our honeymoon (May 2025) and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly, and everyone was very kind. We even had a personal contact, Niki, a very nice young man who took great care of us. The view was breathtaking. Unfortunately, we traveled during the rainy season without knowing it, but thanks to this accommodation, we made the best of it. It was amazing. It wasn’t cheap, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Loved our stay here. We booked the villa in love seaview and the room was absolutely amazing. The view is stunning and it was hard to leave the private pool! Room service was really tasty. The staff was amazing too. The resort is super hilly, but the paths along the ocean are beautiful and a great workout. Breakfast was delicious each day! One piece of feedback i’d offer is to work on the ambience at the restaurants and main pool. Some lighting and music can go a long way.

The Shore at Katathani was the most beautiful and luxurious stay. Every aspect of the property is stunning, well groomed, clean and peaceful. The 2 restaurants on site had great menus with incredible food and service. The buffet had a fantastic variety of food, fruits, breads, traditional thai, eggs, bacon, juices, sweets etc. Lunch and dinner was also great. We particularly liked the performances at dinner and the ease of having lunch whenever we pleased. The thai restaurant had a stunning design and the food was flavoursome and authentic. The staff at The Shore are so attentive, every member went above and beyond for us. We loved that we felt so welcomed. The cart service is fantastic. There is also an app that allows you to book services and get resort information. We would have stayed a month if we could have. We were upgraded to the romance room and it was fabulous. The view was stunning, the room was clean and spacious 10/10.

Over- priced. Is my summary. Misleading is my view of the marketing - which uses photos of a huge empty beach. Giving the impression of an idyllic location. Whereas The Shore seems to be the up-market "arm" of the Katathani Beach resort which is huge. You have to pay to use a sun-bed on the lovely beach. The sea view villa we had is nice but a little past it's beast and was in shade all day. Having a deck and pool at the rear is great but we wanted sun on it. There were insufficient sun-beds around the main pool, meaning that it could be difficult to sit in the sun. We did move to a "Romance" villa for our last 2 nights and the difference was huge. Sun on the deck from c.10am and stunning views. If we had only stayed in that room our review would be better - but it wouldn't alter the disappointment about the beach. Shame.

Posting this on behalf of my Boss.. Our experience with The Shore at Katathani, Phuket has been deeply disappointing. Our reservation had to be cancelled due to an unforeseen and distressing situation. During this time, we made multiple attempts to contact the hotel’s reservations team to cancel the booking, but were unable to reach anyone, despite being in a different country and trying repeatedly. An amount of THB 177,290.69 was already paid to the hotel. It is important to note that we did not even request a refund. All we asked for was a credit, so that the amount could be utilised during our next visit in March. Despite this reasonable request and despite clearly explaining the circumstances, the hotel showed no empathy, flexibility, or willingness to assist. The responses received were rude, dismissive, and shockingly insensitive, especially given that this was a time of genuine grief. What is most upsetting is not just the financial aspect, but the complete lack of human understanding from a property that positions itself as a luxury, guest centric brand. One would expect a reputed hotel to handle such sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism, unfortunately, that was not our experience. Guests should be aware of how situations like this are handled before choosing to stay here. This experience has left us extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.
