Just wrapped up an amazing stay at The Shore at Katathani in Phuket and it truly lived up to the hype. From the moment we booked, everything was smooth and effortless. Their online system for romantic experiences made it so easy to plan special dinners, surprises, and little moments without any stress. The resort itself is stunning, and getting around was super convenient with the golf carts that take you anywhere you need to go. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The beach was super clean, beautiful, and peaceful, perfect for relaxing or watching the sunset. We honestly have zero complaints about the entire stay. The rooms are huge, very private, and each one comes with its own private pool, which made the experience feel even more luxurious and romantic. The food was excellent across the board, but the highlight was the private romantic dinner on the beach. It was a full seven-course experience, beautifully set up right by the water, and absolutely worth every penny. Truly one of the most memorable parts of the trip. If you’re looking for a romantic, stress-free, luxury stay in Phuket, this place is hard to beat.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my stay at The Shore was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. This hotel simply does not meet the standards expected of a 5-star luxury resort, especially considering the premium price it charges. Before my arrival, I informed the hotel that this trip was our honeymoon and specifically requested a room with a full sea view. Despite that, we were initially given a room that was far from everything and did not provide the view I had requested. The following day, we were moved to a completely different room that was significantly better. This only proved that a more suitable room was available from the beginning, making the first assignment very disappointing for such a special occasion. The furniture and room interiors also felt old and outdated and certainly did not reflect the luxury experience advertised by the resort. What disappointed me the most was the attitude of the front desk staff. During check-out, they asked me how my stay had been. I honestly replied that my experience was disappointing. Instead of apologizing, asking for details, or showing any concern, there was virtually no reaction at all. It genuinely felt as though guest satisfaction and feedback meant nothing to them. For a luxury hotel, this level of indifference is simply unacceptable. Breakfast was another disappointment. Muslim guests have very limited choices, with most available options consisting mainly of vegetarian dishes and dairy products. The only reason I am giving this resort one star is because of its beautiful location. The buggy transportation around the property was also convenient. Other than that, I cannot justify the price. There are many resorts in Phuket that offer far better rooms, villas, service, hospitality, facilities, and overall guest experience for the same—or even a lower—price. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this resort to anyone looking for a genuine 5-star experience. I sincerely hope the management reads this review, investigates what happened during my stay, reviews the performance of the front office team, and contacts me directly. My intention is not simply to complain, but to highlight serious shortcomings that should never occur in a hotel positioned as a luxury resort.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The property is huge, beautifully designed, and set in a stunning location. The pool villa was amazing, with breathtaking sunset views, and the overall atmosphere truly felt luxurious. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. Jessi and Noah at reception were especially friendly and welcoming, and all of the buggy drivers were courteous, professional, and always happy to help. The food was also very good. The only downside was that the beach was not very clean, which affected the overall beach experience. However, since we had already spent plenty of time at other beaches during our trip, we ended up spending most of our time by the pool and still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One small point that surprised me occurred during breakfast. I asked whether coconut juice or coconut syrup could be added to my iced Americano, which is something I had enjoyed at other resorts. I was told that coconut was not included as part of the buffet. While this is a minor issue, considering the premium price of the resort and the luxury experience it offers, I believe a little more flexibility and generosity in such small requests would further enhance the guest experience. Overall, this is a beautiful luxury resort. Despite the few minor points above, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend it to others.

And Phuriphat and the team for their incredible effort in preparing a fantastic in-room dinner. The location is very beautiful, the villas and the views as well, you get a sense of privacy and comfort , only the reception staff must be more professional and attentive with customers, the customers pay a lot to get a proper service not only for the views. They didn’t greet us properly with the drinks, she realized only during the check in process, so we have waited standing in the lobby for our turn without any welcoming, They asked us for the flight information we provided everything agreed on the timing and booked a taxi through them so that they can assist us seamlessly during the check out process , We woke up in the morning the phone wasn’t working to request a buggy , plus they could have sent already a buggy to us since we agreed already on the timing , We had to carry our baggages all the way down to the reception , we flagged this to them but they pretended like nothing happened, the buggy service in general is poorly organized because you have to wait a lot to get one, but the drivers are kind and professional, Big respect to the security men at the gate, they are lovely people and kind, in think your receptionists must learn from them how to treat their guests, Overall is was good but not sure we would come back because of poor customer service , it’s not enough to have a beautiful location and view, but also how you treat your customers, thank you
