The Slate is in a category of its own. A stunning Bill Bensley designed resort inspired by Phuket's tin mining heritage — a lush, art filled oasis that feels worlds away from the buzz outside its gates. The floating Black Ginger restaurant is Michelin recognised and worth the stay alone. Three pools including two adults only, exceptional dining, and genuinely outstanding service throughout. One practical note: The Slate is close to the airport but around an hour from Patong, Kata, and Karon. If the resort is your destination, perfect. If you want easy access to the busier parts of the island, plan accordingly.

Our stay at The Slate Phuket was truly unforgettable. The resort was incredibly peaceful and calm, offering the perfect escape from the busy world. Surrounded by nature, we felt a deep connection with the environment, the soothing sound of birds singing in the morning, the gentle rain, and the tranquil atmosphere made every moment special. What stood out the most was the warmth and respect shown by every staff member. Their sincere greetings of “Sawadeeka” reflected the rich Thai culture and made us feel genuinely welcomed and respected throughout our stay. Their hospitality added a unique and memorable touch to the experience. A special mention must go to the spa experience. The Thai massage is an absolute must-try! My husband and I chose the Relaxing and Fusion Massage, and it was simply amazing. From the moment it began, we felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated. The therapists were highly skilled, and every technique was performed with care and professionalism. It was one of the best massage experiences we have ever had, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The breakfast was another highlight of our stay. There was an excellent variety of food available, catering to different tastes and preferences. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. If you’re planning to stay at The Slate Phuket, I highly recommend including breakfast with your booking. It is absolutely worth it and a great way to start each day. As for the rooms, don’t expect the typical ultra-modern, luxury hotel concept. The Slate embraces a unique character and design of its own. That said, the room was clean, neat, and well maintained throughout our stay. One feature we absolutely loved was the hot shower. The water temperature was excellent, which made coming back to a warm shower after a rainy day incredibly comforting and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to relax, reconnect with nature, enjoy excellent food, indulge in a wonderful spa experience, and experience authentic Thai hospitality, The Slate Phuket is the perfect destination. We will definitely be coming back! 🫰🏻

: 1. Amazing, highly polite and welcoming staff 2 Amazing infrastructure, Nature and gardens were awesome 3. Swimming pools and bars - one of the best I've ever been 4. Specifically designated areas for kids and for adults - pools were split for adults onlv and for kids. 5. 24 hours access to the beach 6. Amazing breakfast : I liked everything except 1 - room privacy - private villas should be private. Our villa was next to the pool, and everyone in the pool could see into our villa. Also, our private pool was easily seen from neighbouring rooms

Excellent hotel, the service was great from the moment I arrived. The room was perfect, the outdoor bath I didn’t use but was really cool. The locations is excellent right on a beach in a relatively quiet area. The pools are really nice and lot of bars/restaurants options.

We stayed at The Slate in Phuket and honestly, it’s one of those hotels where you walk in and immediately think, “okay, this place is cool.” The architecture and design are fantastic. The whole industrial-meets-Thai theme is done really well and gives the property a personality you don’t see at most resorts. Between the pools, restaurants, and all the little activity options around the property, it’s easy to spend your whole stay there without ever feeling the need to leave. The service was wonderful and friendly across the board. Everyone we interacted with was warm and helpful, and the overall hospitality felt very genuine. Breakfast was very well done too, easily a 9/10 with a huge spread and plenty of options. The only small hiccup was our departure morning when they seemed to miss the breakfast box they promised for our early flight, but honestly that was the only real misstep during the stay. There’s very little to complain about. It’s definitely not a cheap hotel, but that’s expected for a property like this. If I had to nitpick, the resort is starting to show a few small signs of aging here and there, but nothing major and certainly nothing that takes away from the experience. This is very clearly a family resort and it does that extremely well. There are tons of kids and activities, though they do have an adults-only pool area (14+) if you want a little quiet time. We’d absolutely come back. Just make sure you leave time to try some of the activities around the resort because we didn’t get to half of them and regretted it. Overall, a fantastic stay. Rating: 5/5.
