We stayed at the STRAT for New Year’s, and overall it was a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax after long days out on the Strip. One thing we really appreciated was the self-check-in kiosks. The process was quick and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait at all. It easily saved us 30–40 minutes, which is pretty typical at large casino hotels (especially around New Year’s) so that was a big plus and helped us start our trip stress-free. The hotel’s location is another thing to note. Since it’s the first hotel on the Strip (Northside), it’s a bit far from the main hustle and bustle. The upside is that it feels calmer and less chaotic, but the trade-off is a 30-40 minute walk to reach the more happening areas of the Strip. Depending on your plans, this can either be a peaceful bonus or something to plan around. Parking was plentiful and convenient, though it does come at an additional cost of $20 per day. Overall, considering the comfort, cleanliness, and smooth check-in experience, especially during a busy holiday, it was a good value for the price we paid.

This was one of the the most disappointing hotels I have stayed in. The room was booked and prepaid online using a popular travel site. During check-in, the room that was booked did not have the amenities on the booking. We would need to pay for one of the upgraded rooms which was an extra $50 per night. Add on the resort fee and I have now doubleed the cost of the room. They have pictures in the elevator of the new upgraded rooms. Ours looked nothing like the picture. It looked like it had not been updated since the mid 80s, save the shower which looked newer. The bathroom had a very strong odor of weed. The mattress had not been replaced since the hotel opened. There were so many flat spots, I could have slept on the floor and been more comfortable if I thought it was clean enough. On top of this, parking was not included or discontinued for hotel guests. I will not be returning to the Strat.

We were told at check in that we did not have to pay for parking if we were guests of the hotel. Upon trying to leave, a very rude girl at the exit refused to just let us through and sent us to the front desk to get a “validation slip” which doesn’t exist. Marie (very unprofessional as well) at the front desk informed us that they don’t do that and we needed to go back to the exit and they would bill the room. Fine, perfect. We go. Again, the very disrespectful and rude girl, refuses to do what the front desk assured us she would. We did not budget for this stupid $21 charge, the surely they do not need that bad. Just open the gate, it’s that simple. But no, she wouldn’t budge. Call me cheap, but this was so unnecessary and unprofessional. Every other casino on the strip allows free parking for guests of the hotel. The entire staff here is rude and unhelpful. Oh and almost got trafficked in the women’s bathroom too. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The STRAT is a solid hotel overall, with impressive facilities that make for a comfortable stay. The casino and theater environments are particularly enjoyable, offering a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere. However, there were a few amenities missing from my room that could have improved the experience: no complimentary mineral water, hair dryer, coffee machine, bathtub, vending machines nearby, or even a sofa for lounging. Additionally, the security deposit wasn’t refunded upon checkout, which was disappointing—the hotel should ensure refunds are processed on the same day to avoid any inconvenience. Despite these shortcomings, it’s still a good option for those focused on the gaming and show aspects of Vegas.

I stayed at The Strat again and had a much better experience. Everything was properly explained to me. Now I think they're the best hotel and casino in Vegas. The room was huge. Very nice shower setup. Plenty of amenities in the room. The Tower was an incredible experience that was included with my very inexpensive room rate. A perfect view of the whole Strip. And the dinner at PT's was perfect. I was able to take my meal to my room. While waiting for my food, I was asked by several people was I being helped. Already booked another stay.
