We spent four nights at Pimalai resort. Really a great place. Very quiet, elegant, peaceful, very professional and kind staff. Our room with view on both the garden and the sea was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Two great swimming pools. A beautiful garden. We ll for sure come back! Thanks to the whole team

wonderful stay and hope to come back one day. The beach is one of the nicest on the island with lots of activities. The staff is very attentive and friendly and the rooms themselves are beautiful and comfortable. Of course the drinks and food are overpriced but the happy hours are good. My only complaint is the smoking. I understand certain people struggle to go 5 minutes without smoking but the hotel should have designated smoking areas. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, beach, pool. Everywhere all the time someone blowing their disgusting smoke in my face. They also did not mention a happy honeymoon ever at all even though we left a note in the booking note, which seemed weird to me.

We stayed 5 nights in November. The best thing was the room, incredible level of quality and attention to detail. The beach is ok (I guess really good for Thailand standards but you can find better ones in the Caribbean). Nothing is included in the room price, not even the minibar, you have already paid 500 per night and they make you pay 1£ for a chocolate bar. The prices for the laundry services were crazy expensive, like 1£ per t-shirt. The staff was really amazing! From the time we arrived and we were welcomed, to the last moment - just perfect. I would say it is for sure the best resort you can find in Ko Lanta, but keep in mind that nothing is included in the room price.

The beach is quiet and clean, the pools are amazing (especially the infinity pool overlooking the bay), and the food — from breakfast to dinner — was outstanding. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every single member of staff went above and beyond — from the buggy drivers to the restaurant team — always kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. Pimalai isn’t just a resort; it’s a complete escape. Peaceful, elegant, and absolutely worth every minute of the journey to get here. If you’re looking for true Thai hospitality and world-class relaxation — this is it.

A fantastic 5 days spent in a Beach suite (312). We arrived late in the evening in the dark, and taken by buggy to our spacious suite, large sitting room, galley kitchen/coffee making facilities, large bathroom with massive bath and shower. Bedroom was also enormous overlooking a large enclosed garden with a pathway opening right onto the beach. A water monitor (circa 3ft long) walking across the lawn, added to a "At one with nature" experience. Gym and sports facilities were very good, I would have loved a Padel Court onsite... But that's because I'm an addict, but the Pickle and tennis courts looked good. The bars / restaurants were all great as were the fantastic staff, all very attentive, when we did have an issue (Bose speaker not charging... 1st world problem I know!) it was sorted within 5 mins. We both visited the Spa... I'm not one for massages etc normally, but it was very relaxing in a beautiful setting and would definitely do an it again (30 min Herbal scrub + 60 min massage). Along the beach was the "Why Not Bar" which gave a good alternative option for lunch/dinner and 7Eleven around the corner. A perfect venue, it's going to be difficult to beat this one on our 6 week tour around the islands of Thailand.

We've had a wonderful 5 night stay. The resort is comfortable and so peaceful. The staff are hard-working & friendly. The beach is clean and the water is clear. Swimming at hightide was excellent. Great location with restaurants, massages, laundry & 7-11 close by. The resort felt like a nature oasis and the biodiversity was such a delight. We'll always remember the resort fondly.

Where to start, we can't praise this Hotel enough. Everything was beyond perfect, fantastic room & bathroom. The gardens were immaculate, dining areas very nice with excellent choice of food. The staff were all great, so helpfull and pleasant. Very comfy sunloungers and the beach was perfect with free paddle boards and canoes. If you fancy a longboat trip see Bow on the beach, we had a brilliant day with him. 6 days was not long enough but we had been to 3 other resorts so can't be greedy, Dusit Thani was a fantastic ending to our holiday.

We recently returned from an 8 night stay at Dunsit Thani from the UK for our honeymoon. Although the weather wasn’t good, we couldn’t have wished for a nicer hotel to stay in. Throughout our stay the staff were all so friendly and helpful, they make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. They really are a great asset to the hotel, going above and beyond to offer a 5* service. From concierge to housekeeping, they were all so attentive and polite. A special shout out to Sea and the other staff in the Club Lounge, everyone was so lovely! The resort itself is set in beautiful gardens which are well maintained. We enjoyed looking out for the different wildlife! It is also set on a quiet, stunning beach. We sadly didn’t see any sunsets due to the bad weather, but can imagine they are great to watch from here. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean and well designed with good storage and all the amenities we needed. We particularly liked the filtered water tap in the room, which saved needing to buy bottled water. Breakfast was delicious, with a great range of local and international dishes. We looked forward to breakfast every morning because it was so good! The pool areas were not too busy or crowded and were a lovely place to sit and relax. I also had a treatment at the spa which was excellent. We would recommend upgrading to a club room. We went most afternoons for coffees/soft drinks and snacks, in addition to the evening where we went for free alcoholic drinks and more snacks! We didn’t eat much at the restaurants in the hotel as they are definitely more expensive than outside. We often ate at nearby restaurants or used the ‘grab’ app to book taxis into nearby Ao Nang. This was really convenient and cheap, approx £6 return! Definitely cheaper than the taxis that are sat outside the hotel. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. It is definitely the nicest in the area and although in a quieter location, it is not far from the busier Ao Nang if that’s what you prefer. We would definitely come back!

Disappointed with my stay at the Dusit Resort in Krabi. It’s meant to be a five-star hotel, but the service and food were nowhere near that level. The whole place felt more like a busy all-inclusive, with kids screaming everywhere and people being generally careless. The resort is massive, yet it still felt like there weren’t enough staff around, and the few we dealt with were always distracted. At check-in the receptionist was more interested in another couple’s conversation, the same thing happened when we ordered at Limoncello, and again when we were waiting to be seated at breakfast. It just didn’t feel like anyone was actually paying attention. They also did maintenance on our sink while we were at the beach, and we came back to everything under the sink soaking wet. There were screws and washers all over the floor and I almost cut my foot. The room itself wasn’t great either. The AC was loud, and there were random lights everywhere that made it hard to sleep. We ended up eating out most nights, even at the little place opposite the resort, which was much nicer. The food at the hotel was overpriced and tasteless, and the cocktails were far too sweet.

Amazing stay at the resort. Staff helpful and friendly. Resort clean and beautiful. Sunsets incredible. Food lovely and breakfast has so much choice including a noodle bar. There’s also a little strip of shops just outside the hotel helpful for small things and laundry and easy to get a bolt/taxi to nearby beaches. We had a wonderful honeymoon and trip! Thank you to the lovely staff, in particular the club staff who were brilliant.

A stunning resort. Felt like I was in a set of White Lotus when I arrived by boat to a wonderful welcome committee of staff who provided us with a delicious tea and flower garland! The resort is in a jungle and you see monkeys in the trees and lizards walking your path. Its wonderful. And then when it opens up to Phrang Nang beach you really are in for a treat as its one of the most beautiful beaches ive ever seen. The staff and customer service was second to none. Every interaction 10/10 but special shout out to Paula, who upon discovering o had mosquito bites in casual conversation kindly put after bite cream in my room! Then a second for Baimon, a trainee by the Grotto, who serves us drinks daily and took some beautiful pics of us. Shes a true gem - beautiful and warm in character. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Don’t get me wrong, this resort was really amazing. The staff was nothing but kind and accommodating, the beach front area was absolutely stunning, and the walking paths were magical. That being said, we stayed in another Railay resort which was less than 20% of the price, and was almost just as nice. We wanted to splurge for our honeymoon, but it’s not really worth the price tag. It’s really white lotus vibes, and to be honest the other guests seemed very snobby. I saw a lot of people bossing the staff around and making ridiculous requests for special treatment. The Grotto dinner was beautiful, but the food was nothing special and was our most expensive meal in thailand by maybe 8-10x. You can still walk over during sunset to see the beautiful view without eating there.

Just do not leave sliding doors open — if you forget, they will check out your minibar faster than you will. 🦺 Insider Tips to Enjoy the Wildlife Safely ✔ Keep balcony/terrace doors closed at all times ✔ Never try to feed the monkeys (it makes them aggressive) ✔ Don’t walk around with food in your hands outside ✔ If you’re scared of monkeys, request a pavilion a bit farther from the jungle side (closer to the main path) ✔ If you enjoy them, request the Phranang-side pavilions, great wildlife viewing 🍽 Food & Atmosphere Breakfast under rainforest trees with sounds of waves is magical. Rayavadee’s buffet is not overwhelming in quantity, but the ingredients and preparation honestly feel better than many 5-star city hotels. Try the banana pancakes and Thai tropical fruit — the pineapple was unforgettable. Dinner at The Grotto, the famous cave restaurant, is worth it for the location alone. We recently spent five wonderful nights at Rayavadee, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. The resort is set in such untouched natural surroundings, with exceptional wildlife all around – it truly feels like you’re living in harmony with nature. Every corner of the property is simply breathtaking. The service is beyond excellent – every single person we met was incredibly friendly, kind, and genuinely caring. The team pays attention to every little detail, always finding small ways to brighten your day. It’s rare to experience such heartfelt hospitality. Throughout our stay, we met amazing staff members who made our time even more special: • At the pool, the water activity area, and the activity center, Salma, Nina, and the whole team were so warm and fun to be around. • The waiters at the restaurant, especially Tam and Khao, were attentive, professional, and always smiling. • The security staff by the beach reception stood out – always alert, polite, and doing an excellent job. • The hotel managers were also incredibly welcoming and made us feel truly valued as guests. I could only remember a few names, but honestly, everyone we met was so kind and friendly. What also stood out was the atmosphere among the staff – it’s polite, respectful, easygoing, and authentically local. You can feel the positive energy and teamwork everywhere. Because of that, we honestly felt at home during our entire stay. Wonderfull resort with extremely kind staff who go out of their way to make you feel happy and comfortable. Because of noisy neighbours we were moved to another room. In a very professional way by Guest Relations host Thalia. This made our stay. Service is 5-star. Location 4 stars due to the road in between the resort and the beach (traffic noise by large contruction trucks driving by several times a day). The grounds are beautiful, the feeling is relaxing and peaceful. Room is 4 stars as beds are a bit too hard, doors 'slam' when closing and maintanance of shower could be better, but the room has everything you need including in room iron and ironing board. Laundry service is excellent and fast. Special thanks to the Poda pool bar and Explorer lobby bar team: Sky, Tas, Sam, Boy, Palmy, Mean, Focus, Na, Rak, Jieab, Pom, King Koong and the foreign trainees. We would love to come back. The hospitality level at this resort is outstanding.

We loved returning to this hotel after our first stay 2 years ago. This time we brought friends who were also extremely impressed. The surroundings are beautiful, the breakfasts are great and the staff are even better. Special mention must go to Focus, in theExplorer Bar, Pepsi and Luke in the Club Lounge and a very, very special mention to Alan & Casey, the duo in the Explorer Bar. They are fabulous entertainment and such nice people. We loved ending our days there, listening to them perform. Again, we have loved both of our experiences here and are planning on returning.

Lovely stay at the Sofitel Krabi. Many of the staff are amazing, Notably Luke the new Intern from Newcastle doing a great jol for a newbie. Pee another trainee giving great service at Breakfast and the pool diner. Sky for his amazing cocktails and always has the team laughing. Sem for being a great host at the pool bar and Bright who welcomed us on arrival after a long flight. Our favourite waitress Palmy was amazing at both breakfast and at the pool diner, always smiling and happy to help. She is a credit to your organisation. Finally to Focus helped us so much on the first night with ideas and suggestions for the week ahead. Some good choices in the resort with the lunchtime diner offering the best options. Was hoping for a little more local dishes in the Thai but the Italian did a mean pizza and Porchetta. Rooms were spacious very clean and great service from our brilliant housekeeper Lim who left us a lovely note and flowers each night. I would recommend getting a room with Club Milesime usage as it's a great team in there and happy hour is a nice relief after a hot day round the pool! It's in a quiet spot with a few local residents in walking distance and I would certainly recommend the Grab app as the likes of Ao Nang is only 20 mins away if you fancy something a bit livelier with the night market and music bars like the Full Moon Bar The GM seemed to be everywhere keeping everyone happy and a credit to his organisation and has built was appears to be a happy, efficient and customer focussed team.

The staff and food are what make this hotel so special. White Lotus is an amazing restaurant and the Italian and the breakfast buffet are also better than many other 5 Star hotels. The flexible half board allowing you to use it either for lunch or dinner is great and there are some lovely beach cafe's within 10 mins walk. Special shout out to Lita, Tas and Focus as well as all the activity staff. Fab golf course too! Lots of island trips can easily be arranged.

Anana is a lovely resort with wonderful staff and a clean modern feeling. Hassan was the most friendly and attentive staff member, I hope he is living his best life. We had dinner at Coopers Farm 2 Table one night: it was absolutely delicious and such a lovely calm atmosphere and kitchen staff. The food at the pool side and roof top were also great, best Pad Thai I had was at the pool side. The pool is quite small so not the best for swimming laps. The view from the roof top was great though as youre right next to beautiful limestone cliffs. Getting to Ao Nang beach was super easy with a complementary shuttle. We visited the Landmark Night Market which is definitely worth looking around and enjoying the hustle and bustle, even if you dont eat a full meal there. Love that the resort is eco friendly! We loved the yoga session and studio too. The resort is quite small and not visually as interesting as it couldve been. The only reason I gave it 4 is because of the pool and lack of relaxing spots/visual interest.

Breakfast was amazing everyday! Didn’t get sick of the buffet breakfast like you do at most American hotels that offer the same. Anana had so many options from Thai to English to American, you can’t go wrong. The hotel is so clean, you can tell the owners take pride in their building and services. Staff seemed happy to be at work. The location is by far exactly what we wanted. Close enough to walk downtown or ride mopeds to all the action, yet still be off the beaten path in the jungle. Oh, and the pool is gorgeous, and drinks are on point. You won’t need disappointed.

We had a lovely stay at the Anana Ecological Resort. The Location & Setting: The resort is a peaceful escape, set away from the main town and beach in the mountains. This provides wonderful tranquility, but it's worth noting you are reliant on the hotel's shuttle for easy access to the main areas. The Resort & Staff: The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Our room was luxurious, very comfortable, and well-appointed. The breakfast offered a great selection and was a fantastic start to each day. Transport & Excursions: The hotel provides a convenient shuttle service to town, running on the hour from 09:00 to 21:00. For booking excursions, we found it best to shop around at the various street kiosks on the main road, as this offered more choice and potentially better prices. Highly Recommended A perfect choice for those seeking a luxurious and eco-friendly retreat in a serene, natural setting.

This was one of our favourite hotels on our recent trip to the Krabi region. We had a room with the swim up pool it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Slightly struggled with the air con and getting it really cool. Room service delicious - we arrived late from the UK so this was exactly what we needed. Location was a taxi ride to Ao Nang beach and restaurants (there is a free shuttle which we got during the day). Not too far from Krabi airport or the pier. Stunning sunset and views from the rooftop bar!

Pool was amazing, an absolute highlight. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was 10minutes to Ao Nang beach via a regular shuttle, and nestled amongst the beautiful mountains and forests of Krabi. I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakfast, although the egg station was good. Nice cocktails with 2 for 1 during happy hour. I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing better than the view from the hotel lobby is being greeted by Phoom. He is a super friendly, very attentive and kind employee. We were accompanied to our room with a buggy. There we got a room tour and infos about the hotel and our stay. The luggage arrived just a few minutes later. We stayed at a Wellbeing Sanctuary Pool Suite. The room was spaces with a beautiful outside area and a super comfortable and wide bed. Everything from transports over restaurant reservations to spa treatments can me requested and organised by Whatsapp chat. Very convenient. Speaking of treatments: I’d highly recommend to book an authentic Thai massage from Pin. Awesome experience. The ambience and food at their Saffron Restaurant is excellent. Having Noogie as your waitress was the cherry on top. Overall an fantastic experience with great food, a beautiful beach and the friendliest stuff. Highly recommended.

Hi, I want to tell you about our stay at this hotel. A crazy experience, thinking about the little details for the customer, making the customer feel like they are only at the hotel. They treat them like the most special and important guest. Everything is possible, even the impossible, at the hotel it is possible. A perfect restaurant. Delicious food, everything is meticulously prepared at the highest level, and the service at the restaurant - we were there day after day, it simply remembered how I like to drink my drink. Fantastic and perfect together. I especially want to mention Daria and Jayda from the reception who simply did everything for us, made us feel like kings, with an endless smile all the time, on a personal level we celebrated a marriage proposal on the hotel's beach and we especially received Daria + Jayda to give us a hug. When we left, they attached a greeting card with a picture of us and a greeting for the marriage proposal. Amazing!!! A spectacular hotel, every corner is beautiful and precise. 1000000000000000000000/10

We stayed at Banyan Tree Krabi in October 2025, and we have travelled around the world and stayed at many great hotels but the hospitality here is truly among the best we’ve ever experienced. Every staff member was incredible; kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. My wife has a very sensitive stomach and food intolerances, and from the first day, the restaurant staff made sure she always had meals suitable for her. They made a real effort to get it right every single time. A special thank you to the wonderful restaurant team — Olsng, Saina, Nine, and Priew, especially Priew, who always welcomed us with her sweet smile. The rooms were beautifully clean, and the housekeeping team, both in the morning and the evening, did a wonderful job. The room was spotless and had a lovely scent every night. And above all, a heartfelt thank you to Fah, the hotel host who welcomed us, showed us around the resort, and helped us change our room, making my wife’s birthday even more special. It meant so much to us, and we absolutely loved our stay. We absolutely recommend anyone traveling to Krabi to stay at the Banyan Tree, it’s truly exceptional.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the hotel. The staff were wonderful throughout - friendly and very helpful. Our room was spacious and had a view over the pool. It did have a slightly musty smell and there were a lot of insects in the bathroom, but otherwise it was fine. There was a wide range of options at the breakfast buffet and the egg station was very good. No barista coffee though, only a machine. The hotel is very central with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

I stayed here for two nights to celebrate my birthday alone in Krabi, and it was absolutely wonderful. My room was spotless, spacious, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The modern design made me feel right at home. Khun Ruk at the front desk checked me in and provided all the helpful information I needed. He was extremely kind and polite — thank you so much for his exceptional service! All the bellmen at the front are also very helpful and courteous. I was truly impressed by how attentive they were, always checking if I needed any assistance. I felt genuinely grateful for their hospitality. I was also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful room decoration from Khun May (Housekeeping). She did an amazing job — I was speechless when I saw my beautifully decorated bed. It really made my birthday feel extra special. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. I’d also like to thank every staff member — from the front office and bell team to the restaurant and housekeeping — for their hard work. I’m sure I’ll be back again, and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Highly impressed with all the staff member service truly outstanding!

Amazing stay at the resort — the room was comfortable with a beautiful balcony view. I also want to give a huge thanks to the staff for helping me recover my lost wallet and arranging to courier it all the way to Dubai. The resort made a great first impression with its beautiful and well-maintained reception area. However, the experience quickly went downhill. The restrooms near the reception had a strong, unpleasant smell, and it was clear that they were not being replenished or cleaned regularly. This was quite disappointing, especially for a property that presents itself as a premium resort. The biggest letdown was the room. Despite the luxurious look of the reception, the rooms were far from that standard. They felt like basic, local budget hotel rooms, with no sense of comfort or quality. For the price paid, the experience was nowhere close to what a resort should offer. The buffet experience was even worse. The plates provided were not washed properly and had a foul odour. The smell was so strong and unhygienic that I couldn’t eat anything. It made me feel sick, and I even ended up vomiting due to the bad odour coming from the plates. Basic hygiene is extremely important, especially in a hotel that serves food to guests, and this resort clearly failed in that aspect. Overall, the resort needs major improvements in cleanliness, hygiene, and room standards. A beautiful reception alone cannot make up for poor maintenance, unhygienic dining conditions, and substandard rooms. I truly hope the management takes these issues seriously and works on them, as guests deserve a clean and comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn IHG Krabi! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The Indian vegetarian food options were surprisingly good and made us feel right at home. My kid absolutely loved the pool, and my wife really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony of our pool-view premium room. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay — perfect for a family holiday. Highly recommended!

We absolutely LOVED Layana. What a GREAT experience! The staff are incredibly friendly. The rooms are VERY spacious and clean. The shuttle service is very professional, and the food is amazing. We really felt like we were in paradise at Layana. I would recommend it to anyone who goes to Koh Lanta and wants to have a five-star hotel experience! Our stay at this hotel was perfect from start to finish. The rooms were impeccably clean, and our luggage was brought to our room upon arrival and picked up again at departure – all without us ever having to ask. At both breakfast and dinner, we never had to wait. Everything was extremely well organized. By the pool, we were escorted to our loungers, where towels were already laid out for us. We were constantly provided with fresh, ice-cold water – free of charge and completely effortlessly. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a flower necklace, and even at departure, Hotel Manager Franck personally greeted and bade us farewell – a truly thoughtful and special touch. Arriving at the hotel by boat via the private pier was an additional highlight. The massages were exactly as promised: punctual, highly professional, and wonderfully relaxing. The boat tours organized by the hotel were perfectly timed and exceptionally attentive. We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the beach, and drinks – including beer and wine – were always provided. German-speaking staff members are available not only at check-in but also throughout the day, which is very helpful for German-speaking guests. Smokers will also appreciate that smoking is allowed on the room balconies. In short: this hotel offers service at the highest level. We felt completely taken care of and would return without hesitation!

We chose Layana Resort for a last minute, off-season holiday. Our expectations, set by good reviews and information online were absolutely exceeded, from when we were met at the airport right through to check-out several days later. The staff are exceptional; friendly, helpful and well trained. They obviously enjoy working for a company which looks after them and engages with and employs the local community. The food was delicious and program of events and entertainment just enough to add variety to the week without overwhelming the relaxed atmosphere. One highlight was a guided bike ride with a Ko Lanta local, along the beach and into town. It being off-peak some of the businesses, tourist activities on the island and other resorts in the area were closed, but the less touristy vibe added to the relaxing holiday we needed. And it meant we the beautiful pool and long wander-friendly beach were never crowded. We were very lucky with the weather and saw less rain than we had anticipated during the wet season, but even the occasional rain didn't put a damper on the wonderful experience.

We stayed four nights in a Garden View Room. The resort itself is lovely and beautifully located, but there are a few things that could be improved before it truly feels like a 5-star experience. At the adults-only pool, there was no menu or service available for drinks and snacks, which would have been nice to have. The TV in the room only offered standard channels — it would be great if it supported internet access to watch YouTube, Netflix, or online TV. We had a rental car and chose to have breakfast outside the resort, so we can’t comment on the breakfast options. Mosquito nets on the balcony doors are missing, so it wasn’t possible to keep the doors open for fresh air. Noise from the corridor, especially when cleaning staff passed by, was quite noticeable — perhaps some better sound insulation or other roomdoor could help, as our sleep was often disturbed. On the positive side, all the staff were extremely friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The resort offers a wide variety of activities, which is definitely a plus. We didn’t try the spa, as the prices seemed quite high compared to what you can find in the city. Overall, it’s a nice resort with great potential — a few adjustments could make it a true 5-star experience.

The hotel was really good and we had a lovely time! The rooms were incredibly comfortable and good sized. The breakfast also was delicious but had limited vegetarian/vegan options. We had a really good time staying here. The resort is a bit away from Ao nang, but they run frequent shuttle service from the resort to Ao nang. If shuttle times don’t suit you, you can always get grab from the resort. The only dent in our stay was the receptionist during check out. She was incredibly rude and was not at all helpful when we asked if we could pay by card for the cab service which the hotel runs. It’s not a sin to not know stuff, but her attitude was extremely unprofessional, she was rude in all her responses to us, which really tainted our experience while leaving. Overall it is an incredible stay with good and hospitable staff except for the rude receptionist.

We stayed at The ShellSea Krabi during our honeymoon, after a month in several genuine 5-star hotels — so we had a fair point of comparison. Unfortunately, this resort does not meet 5-star standards. • Breakfast: Average, with very oily dishes. • Facilities: The pool looks beautiful in photos but is quite small, and the water is uncomfortably warm. There’s no staff presence around the pool — if you want a drink or towel, you have to go to the bar yourself, which feels far from a luxury experience. • Room: The room had a very strong artificial air freshener smell that gave us a headache. Only two tiny soap bars were provided, so we had to buy toiletries from 7/11. • Beach: Despite the “private beach” description and marketing photos, there’s no real beach access. The tide recedes hundreds of meters, leaving only rocks and mud flats — swimming or even walking on the beach isn’t possible. • Service: The staff were genuinely friendly and polite, which we truly appreciated. The hotel itself is as advertised, very nice but quite expensive. The service is flawless and the rooms are good. The disappointment is that the hotel seems to feel that because they are "out of the way", they have a captive audience and can charge what's they like!! The restaurant and bar are expensive and in some cases silly (£35 for a steak or Tiger prawns!). The same goes for the spa, which is very nice but I am not going to pay 5x the going rate (£37.50 rather than £7.50) for a foot massage!. Sadly, feeling ripped off has rather taken the edge off what would otherwise be a really nice hotel. As mentioned, the hotel is not cheap so I feel I've already paid for the ambiance once!!
