We stayed at Almare during Easter weekend and it was great! From the moment we arrived, we truly felt like we had stepped into a different world. When you arrive at the resort, the staff greets you and welcomes you with their delicious welcome drink. The service was exceptional, and the entire staff was so kind, warm, and welcoming. Rodrigo, Karen, and Liz were especially wonderful, but honestly everyone we met was so sweet and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food was excellent with great options and perfect portion sizes. Everything we ate was delicious. I was unfortunately feeling a little under the weather during part of our stay, and the staff could not have been more caring. They even offered to take me to a local walk-in clinic and brought me meals to help me feel better. That level of kindness meant so much to me. We also loved being able to use the hotel’s private boat from the marina to the hotel. It made everything feel even more special and convenient. The hotel does a great job setting everything up before your arrival, so you really do not have to worry about much. We loved staying here and will definitely be coming back.

We stayed at Almare in early February 2026 as part of a large group that rented out the entire resort, and overall we had a really memorable stay. What stood out most was the personalized service at the beach cabanas. My wife and I were taken care of by Alejandro, Edgar, Claudia, and Karen, and they were truly exceptional. They were attentive, kind, and genuinely engaging. The beach team consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we found ourselves spending a lot of time there because the service was just that good. They really made the beach experience special for us. The food felt unique and culturally grounded—from the presentation to the flavor and freshness. Because this was a full resort buyout, the menu changed nightly, which we loved. That may not be the case during a typical stay, but even the buffet offerings rotated nicely and were consistently enjoyable. Our room was clean and thoughtfully designed, with great ambient lighting and a lot of nice touches throughout. We especially liked that the room key was a comfortable bracelet—simple, convenient, and easy to wear all day. Just dont over tighten it! :) A few areas could use improvement. Service varied in different parts of the resort. Outside of the beach area, not all servers seemed fully confident about what was available on the menu, including at the rooftop bar, which felt a little surprising. At Seasalt, our server didn’t mention a specialty menu that we later saw presented to other tables. We had already ordered by then, but it would have been nice to know. There were also a couple minor room issues—the toilet chain came loose and had to be reattached, and the shower handle for adjusting water temperature felt a bit worn and loose. The surrounding area does have nearby day clubs, so depending on your room location, noise could vary. Ours faced the pool with a partial ocean view, which we enjoyed. We rented a golf cart to explore town, but honestly, we found ourselves wanting to head back to the resort—it really had everything we needed. They played great music throughout the day, and overall the staff had wonderful personalities. All in all, it’s a beautiful resort with plenty of food and drink options. And a final thank you again to the beach team—they truly made our trip special.

We had a lovely and relaxing vacation at Almare. They greeted us with a warm welcome and drinks as we arrived from the boat to their private dock. The room was clean and luxurious, it had everything we needed; if we needed anything else, housekeeping and room service was always quick to bring anything we requested. For housekeeping, you press a button by the door requesting a cleaning, which is very convenient. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. We did not use the pools, we laid on the beach all the days we were there. But the pools looked nice. The resort was quiet and not too busy, which was perfect. We were always able to get beach chairs. The staff were all so attentive and helpful. They were always around to take away used drink cups and take our order for more drinks as we laid on the beach. The only side note is, the beach on the resort does have some rocks for the first ten steps or so, then you’ll hit some seaweed then clean sand. I would recommend bringing water shoes. I just bared through the discomfort for the first ten steps or so. I enjoyed all the drinks, the staff at the beach bar and lobby bar were extremely attentive, helpful, and friendly. I went to the cafe every day. The food was great as well. We ordered room service numerous times, as well as had a few meals at Boga, the pool bar & grill, and Seasalt at the rooftop. As always, the servers and hostesses were always friendly and attentive. We thought the food was great. I loved the vibes at Seasalt the most, make sure to have dinner around sunset there at least once. Again, I cannot emphasize enough that the staff was extremely kind and attentive the whole stay. We also did a Molcajete cooking class, that was fun. I wish we got to try more of the resort’s activities, but we also had plans to explore the island so didn’t get as much time for that. I felt very safe at the resort the whole time. They promptly called taxis for us when we wanted to explore the island. I would highly recommend Almare for your vacation at Isla Mujeres. We would love to come back in the future.

My stay at the hotel was largely very positive. The food and restaurants were excellent, housekeeping was great, and all staff were very friendly. The beach and pool staff were also excellent. Additionally, the private boat transportation from Cancún to Playa Mujeres was smooth and very good. However, the café (the shop with pastries) had inconsistent service, mainly due to being understaffed—sometimes I waited 5 to 10 minutes, and some items were unavailable. Also, my room had a leak reported twice and not fixed. Despite these issues, I truly enjoyed the overall experience.

The location, property, and hotel are stunning! The food and drinks are great especially compared to other all-inclusive resorts. The portions are very small, but great quality. Their management and customer service needs quite a bit of work. They are full of excuses and do everything in their power to avoid fixing the issues at hand. This applies to everything from check-in, room issues, housekeeping, reservations, etc…. Overall, a great stay and great vacation but the management/staff issues hindered the Overall experience.
