I had a wonderful time at the resort, staying for a week in mid February. The food was excellent, and the service received from every staff member was wonderful. I’ll definitely be considering returning for my next winter escape. I’d encourage the resort to add some additional signage on-site, as it was hard to identify some of the pool and restaurants, but otherwise no real complaints. Entertainment was thoughtful and varied, and you can tell the hotel team cares about their guests’ experience. The cleaning crew also kept everything tidy and refreshed in a timely manner. A highlight of the trip was my time at the tennis courts. I took several private and a free group lessons with their wonderful pro on-site, Jose Alfredo Alvarez. He was extremely patient and thorough with his instruction, helping me to improve several aspects of my game play. The courts are well maintained and it’s easy to set up sessions directly at the tennis office on-site. Afterwards the gym served as a nice add on workout and conditioning after playing, also well maintained and stocked with a variety of machines, free weights and cardio machines.

We just got back from our stay at this resort, and here’s my honest review (we visited in February 2026 while the Rivera side was still under construction): The Buildings – 10/10 This is the most beautiful resort I’ve ever stayed at. The buildings and rooms are pristine, clean, and brand new. Housekeeping was excellent, and the views around the property are absolutely stunning. The Food – 9/10 Really good food overall! Like any resort, the buffet gets repetitive after a while, but everything I ate was fresh and tasty. The à la cartes were amazing — no complaints at all. The People – 10/10 The staff here are AMAZING. They work so hard and are incredibly kind. I became friends with many of them and felt so welcomed. Margarita, a server at the bar, is one of the kindest and hardest-working people — she made our family feel so taken care of. Rafael at the Italian restaurant was also a standout. He chatted with us for two hours, was hilarious, and so genuinely kind. Overall, the staff truly went above and beyond. Entertainment – 5/10 This is where we were a bit let down. The performers are talented, but the resort doesn’t do a great job announcing events, so attendance was low. Nightlife was very quiet — the disco was empty most nights, and people seemed to head to bed by 10pm. That was disappointing for us. The Beach – 7/10 Beautiful beach, but sargassum and some erosion have definitely impacted it. That said, we still spent lots of time there — it’s peaceful and relaxing. Overall: We would absolutely come back! However, we may wait until all construction is complete so the resort feels more lively. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with wonderful staff.

Beautiful resort. Super friendly staff. Great food- honestly I had very little to complain about during my stay (Christmas’25). Only three notes 1. As a solo traveler, this resort is overly family friendly. Late nigh entertainment, music and activities are all scaled down because of this in my opinion. 2. The resort is extremely long, lots of walking required but very easy to navigate 3. The beach has some damage due the to strong current slamming against the property and you’ll find random sandbags and rocks everywhere. Still a gorgeous place to relax- grab a snorkel from the rental (it’s free!) and take a dive an a calm day. Overall 9/10. So many memories made and I can’t wait to be back

My friend and I booked a Thursday–Monday stay advertised as Adults Only, All-Inclusive through a third-party platform, but upon arrival we were placed in a family section with children throughout the property. When we addressed this the next day, the front desk stated the adults-only section was overbooked and implied we may have misread our reservation, despite our confirmation clearly stating “Adults Only.” There was no apology and no attempt to check availability or offer accommodation. Dining was another issue — upon arrival Thursday afternoon we were told all restaurants required reservations that cannot be made in advance, and everything was fully booked, forcing us to eat at the buffet Thursday and Friday despite multiple restaurants on-site. The buffet food was okay but fairly bland with limited variety; however, the waiters there were kind and attentive. The 24-hour sports bar was severely understaffed (only two staff members covering a large space), and we were told simple appetizers like fries or mozzarella sticks would take 30–45 minutes, which felt unreasonable; drinks were decent but nothing memorable. The overall atmosphere felt restrictive — the pool bar closed at 5 PM, the pool officially closed around 8 PM but staff began cleaning around 7 PM and staring guests down to leave, and there were no real evening activities or entertainment included. Transportation policies were also inconvenient: Uber is not allowed, outside taxis cannot enter the property, and drivers must wait beyond the resort entrance while the resort pushes its own significantly more expensive transportation. Staff at the entrance frequently asked where we were going, who we were going with, and where we were coming from when returning, which felt intrusive and uncomfortable. The layout of the property was confusing (our room 1275 had misleading hallway signage directing left when it was actually to the right), and we noticed there were no visible security cameras in the stairwells or hallways leading to guest rooms, particularly in isolated corner areas, which did not feel reassuring. Due to the booking discrepancy, lack of flexibility, and overall experience not aligning with what was advertised, we chose to check out early Saturday morning and transfer to another resort. While the property itself is visually nice, the experience did not reflect a true adults-only all-inclusive stay. It’s very unfortunate because we were looking forward to spending our time at this resort.

Stayed here from December 3-13, 2025. This was our 3rd time visiting this resort for our anniversary. We were here in December 2021, 2023 and again in 2025. There were some pros and cons, but overall, it was a 5/5 stay. The newly renovated rooms are fantastic. We had a junior deluxe swim out. Found it frustrating that we booked in May 2025 for a king suite and added a note that it was our anniversary and the front desk agent told me upon check in we were going to be in a room with 2 double beds. I explained that isn’t what I booked and she confirmed it that she saw that and would ask if she could change our room. After some back and forth, we did end up with the king room. I don’t know why this was overlooked when she told me they had lots of availability and the room booked was a king room. Only issue we had with the swim out, was people who decided to bring their small children into the swim outs and let them run around on our stairs and deck. We ate 3 x at Mama Mia - FANTASTIC. 2 x at The Wok - FANTASTIC. 2x at Rodizzio - FANSTIC. 1 x at La Vaqueria - left something to be desired. Buffet was good. Sunset Buffet was good. The snack bar in behind the party pool was top notch - excellent wings & burgers. Sports Bar was great. Drinks were great. Housekeeping was very inconsistent. In 10 days, they only gave me coffee for my coffee maker twice, which was extremely frustrating as I was using my coffee maker when I had coffee and preferred that over having to leave my room to get coffee first thing. Other guests told us they were getting left 2 packets of coffee daily. Concierge was okay - I did stop and ask them if they had any recommendations for us to do on our anniversary and he kept telling me he would have to ask his manager if they could give us a bottle of free wine. This isn't what I was asking, I was simply asking if they had any recommendations for things going on on the resort that we could do. Neither of us even drink wine, so I certainly wasn't trying to get a free bottle of wine. Spa was so good! We did the couples 80 min massage with the use of their tub with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries afterward. One of the best massages I have ever had. They wrote up a receipt so I could claim it on my benefits when I got home and I got reimbursed immediately. Definitely recommend. Beach was great and so was the beach bar. Love the staff at Photo Pro. Big shout out to their new employee, Eduardo, we had so much fun with him. We met him the second day there and he remembered us every time we saw him for the rest of our vacation. He even remembered what day we were leaving and made sure to come find us and say goodbye. Martin who drives the shuttle was amazing (as always) and is one of the main reasons we keep going back. Alexis at the pool bar was phenomenal as well. Thank you for the great stay!!!!!!
