This place is a great place for your next vacation or honeymoon. My wife and I stayed at the adults only resort and really enjoyed ourselves. You can practically smoke cigarettes or cigars literally anywhere because everything is put in the open. Our resort guide Felix Ozumel was very professional and polite and he was very knowledgeable about helping us book our dinner reservations and adventures. The men who hung out at the front of the resort were very helpful in helping us with our luggage when we arrived and departed. Angel at the open bar was also very polite and he could make us the best drinks ever. The live music on the entertainment stage was also a nice night out listening to music while having some drinks. I highly recommend this place for your next vacation or honeymoon. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Overall the property resort beach staff were fantastic. Edwin and Hillary with the pool side animation team were great, friendly and a lot of fun. The food was better than average. I have no complaints. You will find something you enjoy for sure. Lots of options. The restaurant at the golf course was our favourite and the course itself is average. The rental clubs are not good at all. For 2000 per person for the oceanfront premium room I can probably find nicer. Will I return, probably not They need to upgrade some of the premium rooms for sure.

The showers are difficult to get in and out off. The floors can get extremely slippery from the humidity and is a safety hazard at times. Most staff work very hard but for some reason room service would not keep up with replacing towels appropriately. Sometimes would leave us with none or no hand towels etc. The property is gorgeous although the beach was covered with sargassum, it’s not their fault they were working hard to clear what they could. The restaurants all serve food that is so so and very similar. Food seems like it comes frozen and is reheated to serve. All the food lacks taste and proper texture. Restaurants all take 1.5 to two hours to be served full course meal which seemed excessive. Also extremely hot in the restaurants. Buffet had a lot of options but the best were the bread and fresh made foods like pasta, omelets, and crepes. I did end up having watery stool for the entire trip and became very careful on what I chose for the last few days. We enjoyed the evening entertainment like live music, dancing, and theater. The train was convenient and cute for getting around the palace. The palace shopping area is very nice with lots of places to sit and socialize as well as shop. I was in need of medication and eventhough the resort pharmacy didn’t carry it guest services was able to call outside pharmacy who deliver it same day for good price! Lots of pools and water features for families and children.

3 Year on a row and can't get enough of it, Me and my Husband always enjoy the professionalism of every staff members from the entertainment to the servers. People like Alexi Medina from entertainment, Elizabeth Rodriguez who is usually serving drinks near the bar, always receiving us with a smile. Maria from Caribe, sweet lady and always with a smile. Altagracia from La Brisa, always attentive and friendly making everything feel like home. All this people together had made our vacation a great Journey and hopefully next year we'll be able to meet them again. Hopefully, just plans as of now, but will try to bring part of our families next year, so they can also enjoy of some nice vacations at Barcelo Bavaro Beach.

Very disappointing experience — definitely not for me. I arrived at Barceló Beach Punta Cana around 11:00 AM. The front desk staff could have been a little more pleasant, but I understood that check-in wasn’t until 3:00 PM. So, my friend and I changed into our bathing suits and decided to walk around the resort while we waited. Right away, we noticed that the resort seemed to cater more toward an older, more mature crowd. If you’re looking for a lively, energetic, or party atmosphere, this is not that type of resort. It was very quiet and relaxed, which may work perfectly for some people, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. We decided to grab some drinks, and unfortunately, those were another disappointment. I ordered a piña colada, and I honestly don’t know what mix or base they were using, but it was not good. We tried other drinks as well, and overall, I was not impressed with the quality of the beverages. We then decided to get something to eat, but had to wait until 12:30 PM. When we finally went to the buffet, I was honestly shocked by the food. It was extremely flavorless. I completely understand that an all-inclusive has to prepare food for people with different tastes and preferences, but there is still a way to have food that is seasoned and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I found very little that I wanted to eat. The one thing I will give them credit for was the chocolate cake — that was actually good, and I ate it because I was hungry! Then came the room. Once our room was finally ready around 3:00 PM, we received our keys and were escorted upstairs. I walked into the room, looked around for about 10 minutes, and immediately told my friend, “Let’s book somewhere else.” The room was the final straw for me. There was noticeable dust, the lamps looked like they needed a good cleaning, the bathroom reminded me of a public restroom, and we even encountered mosquitoes. The baby-blue walls and overall condition of the room gave me a very dated, budget-motel type of feeling. It simply did not feel like the resort experience I expected. At that point, I knew I wasn't going to enjoy my stay. I was genuinely trying to remain positive and give the resort a chance, but there were just too many things working against it — the food, drinks, room, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. I went back downstairs, checked out, and explained my concerns. I was offered a junior suite, but at that point, no thank you. I had already made up my mind. To be fair, I know every resort isn't going to appeal to everyone, and some people may absolutely enjoy Barceló Beach Punta Cana. If you're looking for a quiet, laid-back resort with a more mature crowd, this may be your vibe. But if you're looking for a modern, lively adults-only resort with flavorful food, good drinks, a beautiful room, and more of a fun/energetic atmosphere, I would strongly recommend doing your research before booking. For me, there were simply too many cons to justify staying, and I left the same day. Do your research, look closely at recent photos and reviews, and make sure this resort matches the experience you're actually looking for.
