DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL! Most of the good comments you’ll see are pushed by the entertainment team, who constantly ask guests to leave 5-star reviews. Just read them yourself and you’ll notice the pattern. The waiter service leaves a lot to be desired. They show very little attention or motivation when serving guests. In general, the staff clearly needs serious training. The casino staff was some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Whenever you were winning, it felt like they did everything possible to make you lose, which creates a very uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. The rooms are quite old for a hotel in this category, which is disappointing. The food selection is also very limited and could definitely be improved. Another issue is their “mafia-style” approach to transportation. They tell guests that Uber is not allowed so they can push you to use their taxis at inflated prices. This is simply not true—you can provide the driver’s information—but the staff will do everything possible to prevent it. The paid restaurants are just “okay,” nothing special. The only real positive is that the beach is simply beautiful, and the outdoor facilities are at the level expected for a hotel in this category. Overall, I would definitely choose other hotels on my next trip.

Barceló Bávaro Beach is a beautiful resort and overall we had an amazing 6-day vacation. We traveled as a group of two couples along with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked the adults-only side but also had access to the Palace resort, which is family-friendly, giving us plenty of dining and entertainment options throughout the property. The resort itself is massive, stunning, and very well maintained. Even after six days, there were amenities and areas we didn’t get to fully experience. The food was generally very good across the buffet selections and the à la carte restaurants on both sides of the resort. The rooms are somewhat dated, but they were clean, comfortable, and kept tidy throughout our stay. Service, however, was a bit inconsistent. At times it was excellent, but other times it left a lot to be desired, even accounting for the language barrier. Some staff members were attentive and welcoming, while others appeared unmotivated and showed very little engagement when serving guests. Overall, the resort staff could benefit from stronger customer service training to create a more consistent guest experience. Despite that, we still had a fantastic trip and would recommend the resort for its beautiful beach, large property, great amenities, and overall atmosphere.

It’s a shame that the food is so bad because this resort could be great value. In addition to the terrible food, the employees’ attitude and appearance could improve also. The good aspects of the resort include that both pools (including the PALACE) are great, very large and with lots of seating and shaded areas inside and outside, the entertainment during the day and at night keep a cheerful atmosphere, the beach is also great with lots of palm trees and lounge chairs, the waiters keep asking you if you want drinks, going back and forth between the two resorts is very easy and fast since the train runs every five minutes, however, the food was a huge disappointment throughout our stay. Even a lady we met said she used to come every year but had not come in three years and she said the food was terrible this time. In our opinion, this included the buffets and the 4 a la cart restaurants (included) that we visited. In all of them the “starters” were laughable, and so were the soups, except maybe the onion soup that was not soo bad. At CORAL restaurant, the place was very plainly decorated with no character. The food was so mediocre in presentation and taste that I didn’t bother to take a picture, and I cannot remember what I had. At LAS BRISAS, the seafood rice was not cooked so we only ate the three shrimps and squid rings it included, at CHEZ GOURMET the risotto tasted weird (my mom’s dish -the boneless ribs -was great she said), and in SANTA FE STEAKHOUSE the main dish was brought at the same time as the soup which we disregarded not to let the main plate get colder.

We recently stayed at Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe and overall had a very nice experience. The resort is beautiful, well-kept, and very clean. The grounds are well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing and family-friendly. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, courteous, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room we stayed in was a bit outdated, but it was kept very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day, which we truly appreciated. We especially want to recognize Maryleida León from Guest Services and Tomás Jiménez Solano from security, who went above and beyond to assist us. We accidentally left my son’s cell phone on a table at guest services, which we use for medical purposes, and when my husband went back to look for it, they had safely secured it for us. We were incredibly grateful for their honesty and kindness. It truly meant a lot to our family. The dining experience was good overall. The buffet offered a nice variety in a beautiful setting, although the food was just average. The dinner restaurants, however, were very enjoyable and definitely a highlight of our stay. Kyoto Japanese Restaurant was so much fun! One important concern we would like to share is regarding the pool areas, particularly the family pool and sports pool. There were many loose and broken tiles, and we unfortunately witnessed several people, including children, get injured, some requiring treatment or being taken to the nurse station. We highly recommend bringing water shoes for added protection. This is also something the resort should address promptly for guest safety. We also want to note that we have stayed at this resort in the past, and previously, premium liquors such as Hennessy, Grey Goose, and Patron were included in the all-inclusive package. During this visit, those options were no longer included unless you purchased a premium package, which we were not aware of beforehand. Additionally, these liquors were only available at the sports bar and were strictly measured when served. This was a noticeable change from our prior experiences. Overall, we had a positive experience and appreciated the hospitality, but we hope the resort takes steps to improve the pool conditions.

Amazing entertainment throughout the resort. Especially Mayi took very good care of the guests, she is a highlight of the adults only part. Always happy, always in good mood, always has something funny to say. She's proactive and very skilled. Restaurant staffs are not so efficient and attentive , tip is expected if a clean table is wanted with cutlery and cups. The room was left uncleaned several times, towels not changed, supplied less than necessary, no reaction to demand to ask for more towels. This room would need a good reshaping. Otherwise, spacious room, toilet needs to be flushed at least twice to work, no working ventilation. The terrace is peaceful and the garden is well maintained. The location of the room is very practical, between the beach, pool, restaurant and bar. Tips are expected everywhere, from preparing scrambled eggs to get a fresh towel. The central restaurant is exceptional. With a huge choice of delicious meals. The Palace is very big and it has many shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities.
