beautiful beach. incredibly friendly and helpful staff. our room was cleaned daily. this resort was an absolutely amazing experience. there is amstar staff in the lobby all day every day to help you book different adventures in the country. they transport you from the resort and back. so many cool experiences and they made it feel very safe for my wife and i. i will be saving up to come here again.

The room was great, clean and always had refreshments in the room fridge. Pool was a little cool but good once you got in. Lots of pool and beach chairs available if you get up early. Restaurants and buffets were clean and lots of good options. All bars have great selections and service at all were great. Met lots of people from Canada and some from USA. I give this place a 4.5

The entertainment crew was very energetic and lively. Super enthusiastic and engaging without feeling pressured. Fun and interactive games. Francis El bubaloo, Maria, Jose and the whole team were vibrant from early morning till the evening. Danny at the Main Bars elite level. Mario by the pool got the slushy/frozen drinks hitting all the notes. Overall lots of fun. Excursions and off the grounds fun are not too far.

Just came back from our stay and we had an amazing time! Unfortunately, snow storm delayed our trip for 2 days and we had some trouble figuring out a solution due to the "3rd party agent" at the hotel being pretty unreachable, not to mention no toll free #. We had to call international line and Expedia had trouble contacting them as well. BUT once we got there everything was wonderful! Staff was very nice and professional. They call it "home" and being part of the "family." That's very cute. Always helpful and accommodating and available. We had a special dietary restriction and the hotel was able to be super accommodating and helpful at all food locations and didn't bat an eye (Rosadaisy and I forgot the 2nd guys name something with an "A"). Just needed some guidance and explanation since they never came across it. Thank you Google translate! They were very understanding and always with a smile. The other person in our party who didn't have that, reported food being good and a lot, but wishing it was a bit more variety on the daily. Entertainment staff (Louis, Franklin, Louis, Antonio, Evelin, Yufreisi, Jeffry etc. those are the names I remember! but there's plenty more!) are great and work really hard throughout the day with day & evening activities. They have something different every night and try to get everyone involved. We had a great time at all the parties and shows. The "club" from 11 PM -2 AM was fun, but could sometimes use a better playlist. It would die out pretty quickly. DJ did take requests which was nice. Pool and beach are beautifully set up. Clean, spacious and fun 'swim up' bar. However, they could use more lounge chairs at pool and staff to help you bring more (we had to drag some from the beach on our own). Beach water wasn't as blue as we would've liked, but clean and enjoyable. Room was nice size for the 3 of us. Full beds and an extra cot they added that was comfortable. Couch and back porch area. Cleaned every day, which was great, especially for new towels. Bathroom could've been done a bit better. Bartenders were great, plentiful and super friendly (Dorka, Carlos, Franklin, etc. those are the names I remember!). You never waited too long for a drink. Alcohol and mixer options could be better though. Mostly bottom shelf and syrupy juices and mixers. Blending/Slushies made it better, but would've appreciated better tequila and maybe some fresh fruit or something?

We had a fabulous stay at the Bahai Principe Hotel in La Romana. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens that are extremely well kept and immaculate grounds that are spotless throughout. The resort is quite remote, but that’s part of its charm. It has a gorgeous private beach and a very large pool with a swim-up bar, which quickly became a favourite spot. The entertainment team work incredibly hard and do a great job keeping guests amused and involved throughout the day. There’s no shortage of activities on offer – kayaks, SUPs, tennis courts and bikes are all free to use. There’s also a golf course on site, along with a casino and a nightclub for those who enjoy a lively evening. One highlight was the morning yoga classes on the pier – such a perfect, peaceful spot for a gentle stretch before breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was excellent, with plenty of choice. The chef makes the best omelettes, and there’s something for everyone. Lunch and dinner were also very good, with options at the beach restaurant and à la carte restaurants in the evening, which do need to be pre-booked. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly and always willing to help – nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was very spacious, though a little tired in places, but still comfortable. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. A wonderful resort for relaxation, activities, and great service all in one place.
