Overall my experience met and exceeded my expectations. The staff of the hotel are second to none in there friendliness, and overall experience they give people. The resort itself is long. Alot of walking from one end to the next. Their pool is designed similar to a river. The resort was clean and was well maintained and the food and drink was outstanding. The room itself was always cleaned but they are small. The toilets are clean but the flushing isn't powerful. For amenities this resort was outstanding. It had a waterpark, beautiful snack bars, a kid zone, great evening shows (but there is only like 6 and they repeat). Overall this was a great experience for my family. Well worth the money and we have zero regrets.

Full honest review. The Wyndham Altra has been above expectations for me. Rooms are clean, the hotel amenities look new and renovated. The staff is great. The beach and pool are awesome. People complaining about humidity in the rooms are not visiting resorts often. It's a humid country, what can you do. The rooms smell fresh, not musty or humid. There's a little rust here and there but no mold. Sea salt and humidity will make anything rust, no biggy. The food is good and fresh. Where the hotel could do better is providing some storage bins/shelves on the beach and especially at the Splash Island (water park) for guests to leave beach bags, towels, tongs, etc. Reserving the limited amount of lounging chairs is discouraged (and that's completely fair!!!) but we definitely need an alternative to store basic beach or pool goer supplies.

We recently stayed at the Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana and overall had a good trip, though the experience was a bit mixed. The resort itself was generally clean and well maintained, and the grounds are very pretty. The pool area in particular is beautiful and a nice place to spend the day. However, we did notice that the pool tended to get a bit scummy as the day went on and actually stained our bathing suits. Our room was comfortable and mostly clean, but there were a few maintenance issues. The biggest one was that the toilet ran constantly during our stay, which was a little frustrating and made the room feel less polished than expected. The food was one of the more disappointing parts of the stay. the buffet in particular (the only option for breakfast) was generally not very good, and the options felt repetitive and limited. Across the resort there were nor many alternatives either, so it often felt like there weren't great choices for meals. While we managed to find things to eat each day, the overall quality and variety were definitely below what we expected. One area where the experience varied quite a bit was the staff. A few employees truly went above and beyond and were incredibly friendly and helpful, which helped make parts of the trip special. However, many other staff members were less engaged and not particularly friendly (especially at the pool side bars). So, the overall service experience was less than expected with a couple glimmers. Despite these issues, we still had a good time, but I think that has more to do with us than the resort. If food and service are not priorities for your stay, then it can be an enjoyable stay.

This is a great place to stay. The ocean was a little rough while we were there, so we never did swim but a lot of people did. Everybody is crazy attentive. Almost to a fault! We started joking about if we could get to our rental car without a golf cart pulling up and asking us if we wanted a ride. It was a great place to stay. I really like the food. Raul would lightly grill fresh tuna steaks, or grouper, or snapper, and it was SO GOOD! I liked everybody’s, but his fish was the best! I would definitely stay here again.

I am just leaving Wyndham Alltra and headed for the airport and felt compelled to right this review while I’m able to remember names. We thoroughly had the best time at this resort and enjoyed every minute of the trip. The staff here go above and beyond. Highly recommend the king suite; it was spacious, comfortable and modern. We also had the VIP membership during the stay, which has great additional benefits. I cannot say enough about my experience with Steven at the front desk, who was great and very knowledgeable! By far, I must send a shout out to Rafael of CariBlue Pro Studio. I cannot say enough about how amazing of an experience it was. Rafael was patient and extremely kind. I ended with the best photos I have taken in a long time. I enjoyed the amenities here and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this resort. Cheers to a great trip!
