We had a wonderful stay at Barcelona Portinatx. The hotel is in a quiet location yet close to all the restaurants and amenities of Portinatx. The bed was particularly comfortable. The bathroom was not my favourite but the extensive breakfast choices, pool and especially the friendliness of the staff were outstanding. Would definitely come back! Don’t miss a visit of the lighthouse at sunset if you are up to a hike across a rocky cliff path.

Just came back from our holiday here. Very much liked it, we originally had the bed & breakfast formula but upgraded tot all-in because we liked the hotel. When we arrived, not only where we welcomed with a glass of cava as welcome drink but also to the lovely surprise of an upgrade to a room with hottub en a voucher for a bottle of cava. We where happy to found out when your order a cocktail they make them from scratch and not a big pre-prepared cocktail like with al lot of other all-in hotels. Staff was lovely, food was nice, especially the food from the poolbar. There is no hotel specific entrainment team, but they do have activities! We joined the paddleboard and evening yoga en loved it. If your looking for a nice holiday without kids running around you at the pool, this is the place for a nice, relaxing holiday. Also a shout out to all the hotel staff, from reception to the camareros to the cleaning ladies, everybody was lovely and did an amazing job to make our holiday perfect!

This hidden gem will have us coming to Ibiza every year! Scott and the rest of the front desk staff, house keeping and wait staff were so warm and welcoming, helping us with everything and anything we needed. The views are stunning the pools are beautiful and the food and drinks are delicious. There are two beaches walking distance from the hotel. One is right below the hotel, the other one is about a 5-10 minute walk and the water is crystal clear and stunning, you can also rent boats right there. There are a couple of supermarkets as well right there and some delicious restaurants. It’s nice and quiet and relaxing, and the views of the sunset are gorgeous! There are also paddles boards and kayaks and a few small hiking trails as well. We will one thousand percent be staying at this hotel every year! Thank you so much for such and incredibly wonderful and memorable stay, we will never forget it!

Just spent a week at this hotel and had a wonderful holiday. The room was large and well equipped. It was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and and efficient this hotel is lucky the staff are so good from the cleaners to the receptionists. The food is great with a good selection and the pool bar food is especially good which is unusual for hotels. I would recommend the all inclusive package as everything is included even a free paddle boarding experience. The sunbeds by the pool are always available and there is a good chilled out atmosphere at both pools. The only slight annoyance I had was that you had to sign on receipt of every drink and meal but I must emhasise that this is only a very slight gripe. The entertainment, which wasn't provided every night but often enough was of high quality. So if you want a chilled out, friendly, well run hotel I would definitely recommend the Barcelo Portinaxt.

First thing to say about this hotel is that it's very quiet. It's near a small beach that is great for swimming and a few little restaurants. It has some positive points but plenty of negative things. The positives •The room we had was nice and the air-conditioning was good and easily controlled. •The balcony was big, but due to the heatwave in Europe totally unusable which was a shame. •The staff are nice and most are efficient, but a couple are somewhat forgetful with orders for drinks or breakfast components. •Sun loungers are not a problem here, you get the usual few who still feel that they need to reserve a particular spot. But even arriving at 11 ish you'll get a decent spot to relax. •The hotel is very relaxing •The quality of the food is generally very good, although they do provide some weird and wonderful combinations. •The bread is very tasty and I wouldn't be surprised if it's made in site as some of it was still warm when cutting it from a fresh loaf. The not so good •You have to sign for everything, every time you order something either drinks anytime or food at the pool you have to sign for it in your all inclusive which is odd. •Drinks are local branded only in the all inclusive, if you want the branded they are quite expensive. •Only the pool bar is open for food at lunch, this means you can't escape the heat. The pool bar seating area is outside and had no indoor area to cook off. Food cannot be taken from here. •The hotel restaurant is quite small which means no show cooking, therfore everything is from the self serve trays. This is the same at breakfast so no fresh eggs unless requested, this also goes for omelettes. •They don't have replacement cutlery available in the evening unless you request it which is odd. •Entertainment isn't great with the exception of the black lady who was good at playing too the crowd on Thursday, no Entertainment at all on Saturday or Sunday. •Reception staff aren't the best, not particularly helpful. • Checkout @ 12 and late checkout is €60. No exception and courtesy rooms don't start until 2.30pm • They remove your AI allowance at checkout unless you pay the fee. • Only one lift for the entire hotel, used by everyone including the cleaners. • The amount of steps, do not book this hotel if you have any sort of mobility issues. It's a nightmare Would we go here again, the honest answer is no. I expected more from the Barcelò group and was frankly disappointed in the quality from them. I'm a bit gutted for the staff as they do a great job in looking after you but the company has to much restrictions on the service that it spoilt it. Also portinatx is lovely but a bit too quiet for us. And it's nearly €100 to get to ibiza town Overall, we enjoyed our holiday, but could have enjoyed it more.
