This was our first time here at Desire Riviera and I have to say it was the best experience. Everyone was very friendly and outgoing. The rooms were immaculate and the service was great. The food was excellent too! Everyone was great but the 2 Playmakers that really stood out to us and made us feel at ease were Antonella and Bamban. They made our stay most enjoyable both during the day and in the evening. This was our first time here and both Antonella and Bamban always made sure we were having a good time. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and I would like to thank both Antonella and Bamban for showing us a great time.

Currently here and it is absolutely amazing! This is our 8th visit and it has been magical. All the staff are truly amazing! Those that stand out are the play makers always making the party what it is! Candice is so good at getting those involved! Bella is one of my favorites she always is so happy to see us and get us involved in the party! Bam bam is amazing always happy to see us and has the most energy and amazing play maker! Pina is always so up beat and happy. We also love the newer playmakers like chocolate and Antonella very happy and willing to start the party! The bartenders are so inviting and friendly Johnathan, Jesus, Antonio ever, Jenny, Ivan, Miguel are all amazing and remember our drink orders. Daylan, Axel, and Gustavo have become like family to us always so happy to see us and soooooo great at their jobs! Julio, jusiff , Africa, and Eduardo are such amazing waiters always taking the best care of us!

Another visit and this hotel still never disappoints. We truly love DRM — it always feels like coming home. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience are amazing, although sadly there are some changes happening, especially to one of the most important parts of the resort. Entertainment: the Playmakers are honestly the ones who create the vibe and do everything possible to make your stay unforgettable. Their energy and charisma at night really stand out. Huge thanks to Anto, Candice, Bambam, and Bella for these incredible days!! The bad: we pay a lot of money just to have our room view blocked by a huge structure that isn’t even being used. It takes away loungers and seating areas, and one day while we were relaxing on the beds, my entire view was just cables everywhere. REMOVE IT IF YOU’RE NOT USING IT. The music during the day is sleepy. Please add more variety and stop playing elevator music. The pool parties used to be much more fun and had way better music variety. Now it’s mostly techno or unnecessary live singers. Everywhere else, parties are led by DJs, not violins or singers — this isn’t a concert. We miss the old Desire. We truly appreciate all the effort and hard work from the Playmakers, but these changes just aren’t right.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Desire Riviera Maya. The vibe is chill and sexy, the food is delicious, and the entire staff is excellent, from housekeeping to restaurants, to the lobby. Special mention goes to the Playmaker crew of Pina, Antonella, Bella, Candice, Bam Bam, and Mauricio who are always super friendly, entertaining, and fun. They are just overall amazing people. We also wish to thank our butlers Rafael and Daniel, and the lovely restaurant hostesses Eunice, Yasmin, Letsi, and Stephanie.

What an amazing trip once again. The staff always greats you with saying welcome home. We arrived early to enjoy and take advantage of the whole first day. Being greeted so well by the lobby staff as we always have. We had a Diamond room again with the experience being nothing short of amazing. Meghan in the lobby for check in staff is always amazing and helpful with whatever we need. We have never had bad experience from the lobby staff ever. We Mike and Erika were our main butters and they are nothing short of amazing fulfilling all our needs making sure we have a great time. LaFranc is always there to make sure he can help in any way as he always does. So does G, Daniel, Abel, Guatemala, Yuri and so many more. The pool staff and bar tenders are on top of making sure you have all you need. Of course Africa is always moving high speed to make sure everyone has what they could ever want and need. Eduardo was always there as well to help checking on us often. Pool bar tenders are top notch. Axel, Gustavo, Noe, Jesus, Ivan, Carlos and many more making sure you always have a drink. The pool guys take care of you getting your chairs or cabanas are always helpful and nice, Cesar, C, Antonio and Danny making sure you have towels and a place to tan. Hiromi and Monica spoiling us at night during the show and always so sweet. Play makers as always making the daily events so fun and interactive all the way into the night. Javi, Pina, Bam Bam, Bella, Chira, Murico treat you like family. The club had much better music this time with less techno and more dance and grind music. I think the only negative I would have to say is the lighting in the Diamond room bathrooms is very dim and hard to see while trying to get ready. Also on glow/neon night the club didn't have any black lights on like usual. That's what makes glow night fun is having everyone's outfits and paint glow in the club. Kind of killed the glow night vibe as stuff could only really be seen down at he lobby bar. During that night as many black lights should be going in the lobby bar and club. That's so minor though compared to all the things that go so well there.
