Location was perfect for us as it was a bit away from the busyness of KL. Grab/taxi was anywhere between AUD 5-8 to get us anywhere. Kumar the Roti maker is smashing out 400 units for breakfast. Super nice guy. Rino the waiter was welcoming us every morning and brought us to our table. Arif the young gentleman at the Masala and cold brew coffee station was always smiling. All breakfast crew made us feel welcome! Nice job. Concierge service was great as well! Sorted us out with water for the day and organised trips for us.

All about Makan restaurant! Amazing food to taste from different parts of the world. Very clean/hygeine/tasty. Exceptional service from Chef Kumares, Chef Singh, Roni and all the staff. Loved the desserts/pastries/honey comb/make your own salad/Roti station/wide range of fruit selections/tea from all parts of Asia..will not stop going. Do not miss the dinner as it’s not busy and great food variety suitable for all ages. Half board package is worth it and no regrets at all in choosing it. Great location inside Intermark mall, 20-30 minutes walk to Petronas Tower or Avenue K for more shopping options. Rooms are spacious and clean. View we had not the best as promised but not bad from the side. Downside is the bathroom; floor and tiling is very slippery specially if wet, even inside the shower. Another downside is the pool, although it’s large, the big pool is not heated and cold. It will be fabulous if warmer like the kids pool they have. But in general the pool is amazing.

Organized our company dinner here in early January, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Some of my colleagues stayed overnight, so I had a chance to view the hotel room, which was spacious and comfortable. For the dinner event, the banquet team provided good service throughout the evening. They were attentive, helpful and responsive whenever assistance or additional requests were needed. Special thanks to the banquet team lead, Aiman, who was very friendly and offered helpful suggestions to ensure the dinner ran smoothly. Other team members like Dan, Amar, Joly, Azry, Asfa were also friendly and supportive. Overall, had a good experience.

As a hospitality professional, I rarely write public reviews. However, after my private feedback was left on "read" by the Duty Manager during my stay, I feel compelled to share my experience publicly. The Highlights: Culinary Excellence The F&B team at Makan Kitchen is the heart of this hotel. • Ramadhan Buffet: Our "Santapan Legenda" dinner was 5-star quality. A big shoutout to Amira for being incredibly professional and attentive to our table. • Breakfast Experience: The spread was impressive—from the high-quality pastries to the heavy meal options. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness of the Chefs at the live cooking stations (eggs and soup). The entire breakfast staff was warm and welcoming, representing the true Hilton hospitality. The Administrative & Management Failures: • Arrival & Check-in Process: I booked 3 months in advance for my 6th wedding anniversary, requesting high-floor connecting rooms for my family (including 2 seniors and 2 toddlers). We arrived at 12 PM after a long journey from Genting Highlands. While I initially hoped for an early check-in, I completely understood the high occupancy. Instead of pushing the staff, I chose to leave our bags and explore the city, returning at the standard 3 PM check-in time. • Broken Promises & Delay: At 3 PM, only one room was ready. I was promised the second room would be available in 30 minutes, but by 4 PM, there was still no update. I had to take the initiative to call them myself before finally getting the room. Despite my patience, the delay meant my exhausted children and seniors had to cram into one room just to rest. In my experience staying at various international 5-star chains, the level of proactive communication here was unfortunately not at par. To be clear, as a fellow hotelier, I was not looking for any complimentary items or compensation; I simply expected the efficiency and professional service Hilton represents as a global brand. • Lack of Hospitality Way (The Midnight Accusation): The most disappointing part was receiving a call at 11 PM regarding a payment for the buffet, which I had already settled. The staff’s tone during the call felt judgmental, as if they were accusing me of not intending to pay. It was their own administrative negligence in failing to cross-check their systems, yet I was treated like a "problematic" guest. As an in-house guest with a confirmed booking, there was zero "urgency." Disturbing a family’s sleep at midnight for an internal coordination failure is inexcusable. Final Thought: I gave management the opportunity to address this privately while I was still in-house, but I was ignored. It is a shame that the hard work of the F&B staff and the Chefs is overshadowed by a management team that fails to understand basic service recovery, guest privacy, and professional respect.

My stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur was exceptional, with the Executive Lounge experience truly setting it apart. The lounge offered an atmosphere of calm sophistication, making it the perfect retreat throughout my stay. The Executive Lounge team — Unish, Royce, Rosana, Aidil, and Magis — delivered impeccable service with grace and genuine warmth. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to anticipate guests’ needs reflected hospitality at its finest. Every interaction felt personal, seamless, and thoughtfully curated, elevating the stay to a truly premium experience. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the Housekeeping team, especially Ismail (Room Attendant) and Hekal (23rd Floor TL), for maintaining the room to an outstanding standard. The cleanliness, comfort, and consistency were exactly what one expects from a top-tier hotel. Overall, the refined Executive Lounge service, combined with excellent housekeeping and comfort, made this a memorable and distinguished stay. I highly recommend DoubleTree KL to anyone seeking an elevated, first-class hospitality experience, and I look forward to returning.
