The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur is an exceptional experience by all standards. The location is superb, just steps away from Pavilion Mall and within walking distance of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and the service is outstanding from the moment you arrive until checkout. The staff are professional and anticipate your needs before you even ask. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious stay in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Rooms looked a bit worn down and the beds were a bit too springy (could feel every movement on a king size bed if you're sleeping with your significant other). Not the best room compared to other Ritz-Carltons I've stayed at but the location was great. Proximity to Pavilion mall which also has access to the connection sky bridges that take you to other areas such as the Petronas Twin Towers/KLCC. In the opposite direction of Pavilion, there's The Exchange TRX which is less crowded and has a giant plaza in front of it with many restaurants in nearby streets. Hotel breakfast had decent selection and the club lounge was nice too. If you booked a club room, you can access the club lounge on the ground level. Club Lounge was great. We had afternoon tea and evening snacks there. They pretty much had something to offer throughout the day which was nice for those who plan to spend the day at the hotel or in the area. The hotel was a bit confusing to navigate around at first due to lack of visible signage and the front desk person that checked us in did not help us figure out how to get to the elevators. We also weren't told where the club lounge was so a lot of the first day navigating around the hotel we had to do ourselves. Other than that, service was decent. We celebrated our anniversary here and the hotel staff provided us with a nice treat in the room. Overall a good stay.

Great experience. Everything was exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this category. The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful. The pools (two in total, one of them adults-only) are very nice, although the number of sun loungers is limited. Getting around the hotel can be a bit confusing at first, as it is large with many corridors and different levels, so it took us some time to find our way. Breakfast was good, with a solid selection of options. In the morning, however, there was sometimes a short wait for a table, which the staff managed well. That said, it might be worth considering expanding the breakfast area to minimize waiting times.

The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur is in an excellent location, with easy access to Pavilion, Starhill, and the rest of Bukit Bintang. It’s a great base for shopping, dining, and exploring the city. It is often said to be one of the cheapest Ritz-Carlton properties in the world, and unfortunately, it shows. Our room was disappointing. It was dark, felt dated, and had a noticeable musty smell, which detracted from the overall experience. We requested a room change, but the hotel was fully booked and unable to accommodate our request. While we understood the situation, it was still disappointing to spend our stay in a room that didn’t meet our expectations. Overall, the location is the hotel’s biggest strength, but I’d suggest managing your expectations when it comes to the rooms. If you’re unlucky enough to end up with one of the older rooms like we did, the experience may fall well short of what you’d expect from a Ritz-Carlton.

I would initially have given 3 stars based on our first room, which was rather average. However, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a beautiful King Suite, and that completely changed our experience. A big thank you to the reception team for their professionalism and excellent customer service. The hotel itself is stunning, the service is excellent, the bedding is extremely comfortable, and everything works perfectly. For a prestigious brand like the Ritz, the value for money is outstanding. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.
