Check-in was disappointing. There was no proper queue system—some guests lined up while others simply cut the queue, and the reception staff didn’t do anything to manage it. When we entered the room, there wasn’t even a simple welcome note, which is something I’ve received even at 4-star hotels. I emailed the hotel almost 3 weeks in advance requesting a high-floor room but didn’t get one at check-in. I requested again on the second day, and thankfully the hotel was able to move me to a higher floor, which I appreciated. I also requested a small birthday decoration and cake for my husband’s birthday. While they provided a cake and card, the card wished me a happy birthday instead of my husband. I’ve had much better attention to detail at hotels that cost less. The housekeeping staff were also very loud—we could hear vacuuming, doors banging, and staff talking loudly in the hallway. The curtains looked worn out, the TV only had basic channels, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The highlights were the bathroom amenities, especially the shampoo, and the breakfast. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, for the price, I expected a much better overall stay.

Located in central KLCC, the grand Hyatt doesn't disappoint. You first enter a some grand doors, passing some ultra exotics. Then it's straight up to level 39 for the Sky Lobby. Here you are treated with a fantastic view of the KL city scape including the KL tower, PETRONAS Twin towers, Merdeka 118. The rooms are large and for a grand Hyatt, feel luxurious (similar deco to a Shangri-La). The beds are huge, the bathroom is large with walk in toilets and wardrobe. The best feature again is the view. There's a skywalk located at the convention centre which is a 30s walk from the rear of the building. Since traffic is terrible in KL, you are better off walking to the sights from here. The food is top notch, Malaysian cuisine with lots of rich flavours. The roti is freshly made and as with the teh tarik too. Lastly, the price during peak is very reasonable for a hotel of this size and luxury.

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Thirty8, Grand Hyatt, and it was such a wonderful and memorable experience. A special thank you to Lan, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed, which made our celebration even more special. The food was excellent—we especially enjoyed the steak, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The birthday cake was also amazing and a lovely surprise. Thank you to Lan and the entire team at Thirty8 for making our celebration so enjoyable. We look forward to coming back again!

Had an amazing afternoon tea experience at Grand Hyatt! The service was excellent…friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout. The food was an experience in itself, with beautifully presented savory bites and absolutely amazing desserts. Every item was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The breathtaking view of the Petronas Twin Towers made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable afternoon tea in Kuala Lumpur!

Our stay at Grand Hyatt was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The room was absolutely wonderful—comfortable, spacious, and beautifully maintained. It quickly became a place we looked forward to returning to after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning. The selection was incredible, with plenty of delicious options to suit everyone, and the beautiful view made the experience even more special. I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to the bellboys at the concierge. They were always so attentive, polite, and eager to help, whether it was with our luggage or answering our questions. Their kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression on us. Thank you to the entire Grand Hyatt team for making our stay so memorable. We left with wonderful memories and will definitely be back the next time we visit.
