This is a really amazing resort. The staff are always smiling and very welcoming, the rooms are clean and feel quite luxurious, and the food is good. The beach and pools are absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this hotel! We will come back very soon! Thank you for your care.

I’m giving this a 3 star as I felt there was a miss for the resort as a whole to be a 5 star resort. The rooms in general are clean and nice, the resort is small and very limited in the amount of activities to do. After 4 days, had pretty much seen it all. The bar staff seemed to be annoyed when asked for drinks and weren’t the best, while I had some of the waiting staff that were really great. Shout out to Pedro who was one of the best waiting staff that we had during our stay. We were invited from a member at the member rate but this required us to go through a sales meeting. We agreed to this commitment and they originally told us this would last 90 minutes, but when we started they changed this to 120-180 minutes. When we complained they threatened to charge us a penalty. We found this to be a huge sour point in our vacation. The location is not close by. We flew into Punta Cana as flights weren’t available to La Romana which required an hour+ drive to get to the location. Also, the maximum we were able to walk on the beach was about 1km so if you want to walk around, note this is very limited. The resort is very quiet, other than the shows they put at night there isn’t much going on after 11pm. Not sure why but we heard many people including some of us, got stomach issues from either food poisoning. We noticed that some water bottles that were given to us by staff were not sealed properly and the burgers at the beach grill seemed to be undercooked.

It was an absolute amazing stay! Nothing short amazing !! However the hotel needs to be more careful on who they allow into there compound ! Specific the Fire and Water show had merchants there two weeks ago and finds out you speak English they make up a bs price for a bottle of mamajuana and two necklace for 300 dollar us then after I told them off about there little scam they sat down and sold it for 40 dollars an absolute disappointment to have people like that scamming honest ppl who come there for vacation don’t get me started on there cashapp bar code that comes up as a scam everytime ! Great place great ppl who works there but the scammers they let in there is absolutely ridiculous

We stayed at the Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa with my girlfriends family and were blown away by how amazing the experience was. Miguel and his team ensured our stay was comfortable and had the chef accommodate all of my girlfriends dietary requirements to a tee (vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free). All the managers (William, Julio and Jairo), waitstaff and chefs at the Coastal Grill took such great care to detail when serving for us, and the hostess was always very kind and welcoming. Rooms were clean and cozy, and the restaurants were all delicious.

From the moment we arrived at Dreams Dominicus La Romana, we felt welcomed and cared for. We were warmly greeted at the Preferred Guest reception, where the staff explained about the resort, gave clear directions, and shared the QR code for activities. Our concierge, Kissairy, then whisked us away to our room. We were blown away—our family suite was beautiful, spacious, and had a great view. As we explored the resort and headed to the beach, we met Luis from Amstar, who helped us understand excursion options and book an incredible family day trip to La Hacienda. The excursion ended up being one of the highlights of our trip—fun, exciting, and memorable for everyone. The resort’s food and drinks were some of the best we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. We enjoyed: • Flying Fish for breakfast • Himitsu for a lively hibachi experience • Seaside Grill, where we had amazing steaks (special thanks to Yason, our favorite waiter) • World Café, which truly had something for everyone • The Preferred Club buffet on the beach • Excellent pizza at La Trattoria The overall vibe of the resort was relaxed, family-friendly, and sprinkled with touches of luxury. We also want to recognize Samil, our bellhop, who was fantastic. He picked up our bags exactly on time and made the wait for Amstar enjoyable with friendly conversation and great service—such a helpful and kind way to end our stay. Another standout staff member was Ray, our favorite bartender at the Preferred Club beach. He treated us like family, going out of his way to find Corona for us and keeping our kids stocked with frozen lemonades all day long. At Scuba Caribe, we were equally impressed—the staff there were welcoming and attentive every single day. We rented paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear multiple times and always had a wonderful experience. We visited the spa as well, and the whole family enjoyed relaxing massages. Evenings were also fun—we enjoyed the pool table in the nightclub and appreciated the kids’ club for our 9- and 12-year-olds. The beach was clean, the water was beautiful, and the entire resort was well maintained. Overall, this was a fantastic family vacation. Dreams Dominicus La Romana exceeded our expectations in every category—service, food, activities, and atmosphere. We would absolutely return!
