Open for lunch and dinner, there’s all the classic curries, including vegetarian options, alongside perfectly cooked rice and naan breads.

Mount Batten Lounge

Relax with a refreshing drink, while taking in the picturesque mountain views. Named after Lord Mountbatten, this lounge bar is open 24 hours a day, serving a tempting menu of snacks alongside the freshly prepared drinks. This was our first stay at Earl’s Regency in Kandy, and although we were only there for one night, we genuinely wished we had planned a longer stay. The hotel is beautifully designed and built into the natural landscape, reminding us of the architectural style of Heritance Kandalama. Despite being established many years ago, it has been exceptionally well maintained and still feels elegant and inviting. Surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, the peaceful setting makes it a wonderful place to relax. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully presented, with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The ambience throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming. One of the highlights was the hospitality. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, courteous, and happy to assist with anything we needed, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. We also enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffets. There was an excellent variety of local Sri Lankan dishes alongside international favourites, with plenty of choice and everything we tried was fresh and enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team at Earl’s Regency for your wonderful hospitality and for taking such great care of this beautiful property. We look forward to returning to Kandy and spending a few more nights here next time.

The housekeeping team was excellent, and the restaurant staff especially the chefs at the live cooking station were incredibly friendly. The food was absolutely delicious.
