We had a beautiful stay at the Sentido Heritance Hotel in Negombo. We enjoyed very much the gardens and the swimmingpool with sea view. The rooms are very comfortable with balcony and fantastic sea view as well. The buffet breakfast offered a abundant variation of Sri Lankan and western food and the extra fee for it is really worth going there ~ even if you are a guest from the outside. Espacially Miss Sithmi is very friendly and helpful. Very recomandable.

Quick stopover before we headed northeast to Kandalama. I have stayed here a few time and have always loved this property. Friendly staff including management. The best part of my stay was breakfast. Oh the hoppers are so yummy. Thanks to exe chef Hasheera and his awesome crew, especially chef Sumedha who is responsible for making hoppers.

Dinal Kulathilake

We stayed one night at Heritance Ahungalla and booked 4 rooms. Overall, it was a really good stay. The hotel has a beautiful design, direct beach access, and a very nice view. The pool area is great, and we really enjoyed relaxing there. We also tried some cocktails at the pool bar — they were very good. Customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Food was a mix. Some dishes were good, but the room service fish and chips and baguette sandwich were disappointing. Honestly, it was the worst fish and chips I’ve tried. They didn’t even provide lemon, which would have made it better. Apart from the food issue, everything else was really nice. Great atmosphere, good service, nice pool, and beautiful beach access.

El Ogilvie

We stayed here at the end of our tour in order to fully relax before travelling home. We therefore have a good over view of other hotels and service sri lanka has to offer Although the hotel and staff are mainly friendly and can't do enough others not so much. The hotel feels more corporate and a little less charming to me. We had a suite which was lovely, with great view and a comfy bed, there was a dinning table in the adjoining room, when i asked if we could have dinner here it was a no, so does seem strange to have it in the suite. Maybe a nice sofa area would be better. There is also a nightclub quite near which is fairly loud till around 2am and you can hear the car noise and the constant beeps of cars bikes etc, so not such a great sleep. I did use earplugs, The restaurant does feel a little like a canteen with bright lighting and its quite noisy. So i'd suggest if you want a quiet more romantic meal to get out the hotel. The food overall is good always fresh and lots of choice. The stand out staff for us were the Chefs. They seemed to always have a smile and liked to interact which we loved they seemed to genuinely enjoy their work.The young chap Kaveesha ( making omelette) was so lovely and hipefully he can visit scotland one day, also Janaaka, nothing was too much trouble. My only complaint is being asked to sign your drinks bill whilst still eating dinner. You may want another drink etc. So wait till were done its quite intrusive. The cleaning staff were great and again very friendly as were reception staff especailly Ishaara on our arrival, she even carried my heavy back pack up to my room. Overall we've had a nice time but for the price and the standard we have stayed at far nicer places. For us, 1 night either when you land or before the flight home would have been enough.
