Nice large resort with plenty of space to walk around. There are three pools, including a kids’ pool with water slides that children absolutely loved. The beach is beautiful to look at, but the sea is too rough for swimming. Our room was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kids and teens clubs were great, with lots of activities. Adults’ activities felt limited in the evenings, but overall it’s a good family-friendly hotel, especially considering the price.

It was a wonderful stay at Shangri-la Hambantota. We loved the variety of meal options, the children friendly pool with activities and specially the flying trapeze was a great adventure! The lovely crew of the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. We had a great time for two whole days and it definitely was worth the travel. Kids were able to engage in many activities and it was outstanding because they were never left out when adults were relaxing. Beach views, aesthetic swings, romantic ambience along with a polite and lovely crew made the stay magical!! Would love to visit again for the next holidays! Thank you.

What to say ! So far the best experience l've ever had. The location, hospitality, staff foods everything is just overwhelming. The only bad thing I noticed is the resort is too big to visit with in a day 😉, so guys if you're visiting here make sure to book at least two nights. It consists of a vast, elegant golf course, 3 pools including one adult pool, one kids pool and one common pool and small water park too. Apart from those they got plenty of other activities to do, like Zip line, cycling, cricket, volleyball, football, etc. Apart from all those, they have recreated a look of an old village of Sri Lanka, called Kadamandiya, it really gives me the vibe of ancient Sri Lanka that I've read in the novels. I must say few words of Sports and recreational unit in the hotel, they made our stay extra special with a fire dancing on Saturday night and a balanced show on Sunday night, special gratitude to Lahiru who performed a great balance show. When talking about foods, they were so kind enough to have a separate kids buffet on each day, active stations with hoppers, kottu, pan cakes, naan etc on each breakfast and dinner depending on the meal. Each breakfast they served Yara tea which is even rare to find on outside in the country. They welcome you at the reception with traditional Kandyan Sri Lankan music, giving you such a warm welcome. Each and every staff member in the resort is so dedicated to meet that welcome during your whole visit. Thank you guys for making our stay sc wonderful 💖

We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Hambantota. The property is truly stunning — spread across vast, beautifully maintained grounds with a serene private beach and an impressive 18-hole golf course. The views of the Indian Ocean are absolutely breathtaking and make the entire experience even more special. A special mention to the F&B team: Uditha, Kapila, Chef Dharmendra, and the entire staff who went above and beyond every single day. They were incredibly caring and accommodating, especially when it came to preparing customised meals for my infant. Their warmth and attention to detail made our stay feel truly personal. Deep gratitude and appreciation to the whole team. Overall, every member of the staff we interacted with was courteous, helpful, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a great time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway in Sri Lanka.
