amazing location and really attentive staff. the staff go out of their way to help you with every request- and then there is chef Dalip - he personally greets you like family and makes sure you have an amazing meal. i saw that they had chicken and when i hesitated choosing it - he approached me and when i said i was seeing if there was fish- he immediately made me the best fish i have ever eaten- it looked and tasted amazing to such an extent that my wife who is vegetarian and does not eat fish tried it and said it was amazing. I have travelled a fair bit but never have i had a chef that is so focused on ensuring everything is perfect and who goes out of his way to create a special dish like this. in another incident my wife had a slight sore throat and one of the other staff immediately made her a herbal remedy - that worked. Well done Taj for your amazing staff that take hospitality to another level.

Standout Service & Staff The team at Taj Bentota goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. We want to give a special shout-out to three individuals who made our stay particularly seamless: * Kannangara (Poolside): Spending time by the pool was a highlight, thanks to Kannangara. He was consistently attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed to stay relaxed and hydrated. His friendly demeanor and quick service kept the vacation vibes going strong all day. * Gayan (Housekeeping): Coming back to our room was always a treat. Gayan did a phenomenal job with the upkeep; the beds were perfectly made, and the room was kept immaculately clean. His attention to detail and professional touch were very much appreciated. * Renu (The Jiva Spa): For anyone visiting the spa, ask for Renu! She shaped our entire wellness experience, providing an incredible massage and facial that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. Her technique and calm presence made it one of the best spa experiences we've ever had. Final Thoughts Whether it was the delicious dining options or the breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, Taj Bentota delivered on every front. However, it’s the personal care from people like Kannangara, Gayan, and Renu that transforms a great hotel into a home away from home. We can't wait to return!

Our stay at Taj Bentota Resort & Spa was truly exceptional and memorable in every way. The hotel is perfectly located with access to a beautiful private beach, offering a peaceful and exclusive experience. The rooms are extremely spacious, very well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. We had an ocean view room, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sunset directly from our room was one of the most beautiful experiences of our stay. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the property, and each meal was delicious with a great variety and excellent quality. The room service was prompt, efficient, and highly professional. What truly makes this property special is its staff. Every team member was incredibly cooperative, courteous, and genuinely warm. Their hospitality added immense value to our overall experience. The property itself is stunning, the views are spectacular, and the people make it even more special. Everything about our stay was perfect. We would highly recommend Taj Bentota to anyone visiting Sri Lanka and look forward to visiting again.

We hade a lovely holiday. The kindpussar weve got from the staff was so Nice. A special thank you to Milton. He was always making sure that we hade everything we needed in our room. And it was clean and cosy! Thank you Dilan for bringing me diet pepsi and making sure that we hade a table. We will remember that! A little bit sad that we got a small room with an extra bed when we were 4 persons. I told that to the reception multible Times but nothing happend. The beach was Great. His food was exceptional — every meal was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and made with such care. He made our experience extra special. Our room cleaner, Saman, also did a fantastic job. The room was always spotless, fresh, and perfectly maintained. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended — we would definitely return!
