✨ Our experience at El Dorado Royale was simply spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the service, attention to detail, and peaceful atmosphere made us feel like we were in another world. The perfect resort for couples to relax, disconnect, and truly enjoy the beauty of Riviera Maya. 🌴✨ 🍽️ The food was amazing, with a huge variety of restaurants and outstanding quality. 🍹 The pools, swim-up bars, and adults-only atmosphere gave the entire experience a luxury and relaxing vibe. 💆‍♂️ Every corner of the resort felt peaceful, elegant, and unforgettable. And the best part… ❤️ Our entire trip was coordinated by Go Couples Travel, who handled all of our reservations and made the whole experience smooth, stress-free, and truly special from beginning to end. ✈️🌎 We definitely recommend this destination for anniversaries, romantic getaways, or anyone looking to enjoy unforgettable days in Riviera Maya. 🇲🇽✨ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 experience.

A lovely resort hotel with beautiful gardens which were immaculately maintained. Plenty of space to escape the crowds and a pleasing variety of restauants to sample. Externally the buildings appeared well maintained. However the bedrooms were very dated, furniture was old, lighting could have been brighter. Many of the sun loungers on the beach were also old and uncomfortable. Staff were generally courteous, cheerful and helpful. Check in was very slow and we were not given a full explanation of what facilities we were able to use or areas that were off limits. For example we only discovered during our stay at Dorado Royale that certain loungers and pools such as those near the Casitas were not supposed to be used. This was not explained at check in nor on the maps. Navigation of the resort could have been made easier if restaurants and bars had signs identifying their names. Similarly a lable on each of the desks in the main lobby describing the role each had would make finding the right person to speak to easier. Attention to customer's potential food allergies was admirable however exceedingly repetitive. As all evening meals had to be prebooked and reservation details were held at the restauant surely it would simpler if the question relating to allergies was asked by the concierge, recorded and notified to the restaurant along with the booking information.

The consistency is not there. First day checked in at 4:05 and couldn’t get a reservation at a restaurant. After an 1.5 hour wait for a pizza. Next day all reservations available were late night. Paid for a Junior swim up ocean room #4008 sat outside all day, NO one came by for bar service, stayed 6 days was asked 3 times for drinks after I complained and it was only for 1 day. We asked 3 days for pool towels. Didn’t get them delivered until our last day & of course that’s the day we paid for a Bali bed just so we could have service. They took our dirty coffee cups on day 2, we had to use water cups for 2 days even after asking house cleaning everyday for coffee cups. We booked an all adult resort but had to walk all the way to generations with kids to eat at a buffet. Why did we walk? Well we waited at golf cart pick up 32 minutes. 5 carts past saying they would send someone. Had to hike a little over a mile. The view was amazing, entertainment was very good, But we will never do another one of your resorts for sub par service.

Pretty resort in good location. However, their concept of "all-inclusive" is so far detached from the Cancun "all-inclusive" from just a couple of years ago, especially for food, that you feel taken advantage of for the money you paid. This resort doesn't have a buffet style restaurant for lunch and dinner. Combined with literally no dinner reservations available for the day we arrived, and none for the next few days at this resort (the second day, we had to walk to the sister resort for the one available option, and it was at 9 pm), the food picture is simply not good. And not just for that: at 4:30 pm, with barely 3 or 4 tables with customers, we had to wait 40 minutes for 2 pizzas at the pizza place; buffet restaurant is available for dinner two resorts over but it's really small (there was literally one type of meal variations plus salads, and there was a significant wait for tables), service is laughable (one night I ordered sparkling water three separate times to three separate waiters, and it never arrived), and the resort is a family one, meaning you lose all advantages of your adults-only status; long lines form despite reservations in some places due to slowness of staff, resulting in people cutting in without any attempt to stop them by the staff; your name and room number is taken every single time, presumably to prevent you from eating excessively; regular coffee was not available anywhere in the resort in the afternoon. The concierge service is unhelpful and provides contradicting information; we almost ended up being late for our transportation to the airport at checkout because they insisted on bringing our luggage from the room and never did although I made arrangements in person, and again, when we left the room, went in person to speak to the concierge and she demonstratively picked up a walkie-talkie and said she was calling someone to bring the luggage to the front desk - one hour later, it still wasn't there and we had to beg the bellboys for help. Concierge also recommended a free shopping tour when we asked to go shopping in Playa del Carmen; the tour took us in the opposite direction first for a mandatory 1.5-hour stop at a jewellery/tequila place; we ended up just asking them to call us a taxi into Playa del Carmen, which they did, for almost twice the going rate, and the driver tried to scam us into paying cash although we were initially assured payment by credit card was going to be accepted. We also asked the concierge for an in-and-out tour to the Tulum ruins and were placed in a "Tulum Express" tour - however, although the place is an hour away, we ended up at the ruins literally five hours (to the minute) after pickup from our hotel, due to excessive other pickups and switchovers of people between buses, plus a "cultural" stop at a Mayan market. And, unless you put your towel on a lounge chair at the beach or the main pool at 6 am, you never get a chair at either - which is confusing as there is plenty of suitable space around to place more lounge chairs. We ended up going twice to the Lomas-owned Maroma beach, which is part of the resort all-inclusive (not advertised, but with a several-fold better buffet and grill restaurant than anything at El Dorado Royale) and the 15-minute transfer for the day is free. You find out about it in a roundabout way because the option to have a catamaran tour from Maroma Beach is one of the available free tours included in your all-inclusive stay. I thought our house maid was efficient and understood what needed to be done in our room even if we weren't there - however, the last evening, while we were at dinner, her evening colleague decided to do a variation of turn-down service (for the first time that week), for which she collected all used bath towels and did not replace them (so we ended up with no towels in the shower), made the bed (instead of turn-down), and collected the whole-stay tip I had prepared for the morning for our regular maid. I complained and we were still never given towels until we checked out at 12 pm the next day.

Everything about the resort was top notch. Staff are so friendly and fun. We had a waiter teach us some Spanish and made our dinner a fun experience. Food is amazing! Pools are great! I do wish they would monitor their beach chairs like Maroma. If they aren't being used then they can be open for someone who wants to lay on them. They need to space to store items. It's not a deal breaker though. Room service 24/7 was great. I loved my stay and I'd go back again.
