This is our third visit to Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora, having enjoyed two fantastic holidays here previously. This time, we’ve brought my parents along after recommending the hotel so highly, which makes our disappointment even greater. One of the main reasons we returned was Nami Asian Bistro, by far our favourite restaurant. However, upon arriving on Monday, we discovered it was already fully booked for every evening of our stay. We hadn’t even been given the opportunity to make a reservation. Despite raising this with the concierge team, the only alternative offered was Oasis. While we appreciate their efforts, this doesn’t really address the issue. For a hotel of this standard and price, I find this unacceptable. Guests should not arrive for their holiday only to discover that some of the hotel’s most popular restaurants are effectively unavailable to them for their entire stay. The booking system clearly needs reviewing, whether that’s allowing reservations before arrival or ensuring availability is fairly allocated to incoming guests. We’ve been loyal returning customers and have recommended this hotel to others, so it’s particularly frustrating to feel that we’re missing out on one of the very experiences that encouraged us to return. The hotel remains beautiful and the staff are generally excellent, but this has significantly affected our enjoyment of the holiday. At five-star prices, it’s reasonable to expect a five-star experience, including fair access to the restaurants being advertised as part of the resort. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements.

Great family experience, with an outstanding Baby Club! We had a wonderful stay at Meliá Tenerife and would highly recommend it to families, especially those travelling with young children. The Kids Club and Baby Club are truly excellent, with the Baby Club being an absolute highlight. Our one-year-old loved it so much that he didn’t want to leave! The teachers are incredibly kind, caring and competent, making us feel completely comfortable leaving our little one in their hands. This made a huge difference to our holiday and allowed us to truly relax as parents. Another strong point is the quality of the restaurants, particularly the Spanish restaurant, where the service was excellent. A special thank you to Roberta for her expertise, kindness and attentive service! The only reason I would take one star off is the cleanliness of the rooms, which I felt could be more thorough and did not quite meet the level of service offered in the rest of the hotel. Overall, a highly recommended resort for families, with fantastic childcare facilities, great dining options and genuinely lovely staff. We would happily return!

This is a top tier hotel and resort. We're spending 6 nights here and it's been exceptional in every aspect. We have a standard room and it's plenty of space for a family of 4 (2 small children). The room is kept clean with all amenities restocked daily. Some of the fixtures and switches are dated but that does not detract from the overall functionality. The public spaces are gorgeous. The pools provide plenty of variety throughout any given day and stay. The food is great for the price point. And dinner at the one restaurant we were able to book was outstanding. We're on the all inclusive package and it has been great value. The cocktails are made to order and use quality liquor. The frozen ones are blended on the spot, not premixed. The kids have loved the kids club and evening activities. There's simply an element of class to this hotel that adds to the experience. All staff are friendly and do everything they can to accommodate you. This is the type of holiday I'd like to do again, exactly as we've done it this time. That says it all.

I was absolutely blown away by Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora! I travel quite a lot and have stayed in many hotels, but this one is definitely among the very best. From the moment I arrived, everything was exceptional. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the level of service really makes a difference. The rooms are cleaned daily and everything is kept to a very high standard. The food deserves a special mention – easily 10/10! The buffet offers such an incredible variety that you honestly don’t know where to start. Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. There is so much choice that you could stay for several days and still have something new to try. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning and probably the biggest and most beautiful I have ever seen in a hotel. The views are breathtaking, and the whole resort is beautifully situated. I was lucky enough to have a Deluxe Front Sea View room on the fifth floor, and waking up to those views was simply amazing. Another highlight is the entertainment every single evening. Watching the sunset while listening to a DJ playing outside was such a lovely experience. Later, the entertainment moves indoors, with different shows and activities to enjoy. There is always something happening, so you really don’t need to leave the hotel to have a fantastic evening. I stayed for five days and came home feeling genuinely relaxed and refreshed. The hotel has everything you need for a perfect getaway: beautiful surroundings, outstanding food, fantastic service, amazing pools, great entertainment and lovely places to enjoy a drink while taking in the views. Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora is more than just a hotel..it’s an experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a few days of pure relaxation, a little luxury and the chance to switch off, enjoy a few cocktails and simply make the most of every moment. A fantastic family stay and somewhere we would happily return to next year. We had a wonderful family stay at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora and overall felt it fully deserved five stars. The hotel itself is beautiful, the grounds and pools are excellent, and there is a really good choice of places to eat and drink throughout the resort. The food was consistently very good, with the Asian restaurant a particular highlight for us. The variety across the restaurants also meant it never felt repetitive. Poolside service was excellent and made a big difference during the day. We felt very well looked after, and the Guest Experience team were particularly impressive. The level of care, follow-up and personal attention made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the stay. For a hotel of this size and quality, the only areas I would improve are fairly small ones. Restaurant service could sometimes be more consistent, even though the food itself was very good. And Meliá genuinely needs to invest in about a thousand teaspoons, because finding one for coffee or tea at breakfast became a strangely regular challenge! For families, I also think the hotel would benefit from having a proper larger waterslide in or around the main pool area for older children, as well as another ice cream point elsewhere around the resort so everything is not concentrated in one place. Those are relatively minor points though. Overall, the hotel offers a great combination of quality, choice, service and atmosphere. We felt very welcome, there was plenty for the whole family to enjoy, and compared with other hotels of a similar standard we felt it represented reasonable value. We would absolutely return!!
