Holiday Inn and Suites Across from Universal Orlando

We had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again. From the moment we pulled up, the hotel looked clean, modern, and well-maintained. We were greeted upon arrival, and the front desk staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in quick and easy. The lobby is beautiful and creates a great first impression. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of room to spread out our belongings. The bathroom had limited sink space, but it wasn't an issue because there was plenty of other space in the room for toiletries and personal items. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to Universal, and all the details and schedules were provided during check-in, which made transportation simple and convenient. Every employee we interacted with throughout our stay was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My only minor critique would be that the shower pressure was a little low, but it still worked perfectly fine. On the plus side, I absolutely loved the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in the room. Overall, this was an excellent stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, convenient, and staffed by wonderful people. I would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay. Great staff! The rooms are spacious and clean! We didnt use the pool (yet) but it is large and clean. Brea café is very well stacked and the cashier was amazing! Stay and stay often! It is literally a 20+ walk from Universal! True tp it's name!!

We had an amazing stay! The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Kelly Thomas from Guest Services, who went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall service was excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this hotel!

BEWARE: We booked a king room. The first room we were given had a coolant leakage on the wall mounted AC unit which attracted a bunch of ants that were all around the room. The carpet, couch, chair and bedding were extremely damp. The room also smelled of mold (I later was treated by a doctor for a mold related illness and missed work after this stay) After only being in the room for 10 minutes it was already starting to hurt my throat. I called and was moved to another room that wasn't much better. The humidity and dampness of the furniture was still very much an issue. This hotel is "renovated" but was definitely given the landlord special. The fixtures are old, AC is old, inefficient and loud, walls are poorly painted, hallways are dark and humid. The best thing about the room is the walk in shower which is still very small. The remote for the TV also doesn't work. Definitely not worth the price and I will not be staying again. **UPDATE:** After we left a complaint left with Marriott, we were upgraded to a disability king suite at our most recent visit. Thankfully, no mold or suffocating humidity this time, but the room still had a bunch of issues, most of all being the blackout curtains in the bedroom unable to be lowered due to them bring remote controlled and broken. The front desk said it was an "issue that would have to wait until morning" so we barely got any sleep. The fan in the bathroom was not working and there is a big crack in the floor lining (as you can see) so water pooled all over the floor and we had to use almost all our towels to wipe it up. This place is janky and over priced!!! I WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN.

I stay at Marriott properties frequently throughout the country, and I can confidently say that the staff at this location truly stand out. Their commitment to hospitality made my stay exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Quiana, the manager, whose kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression. I would also like to recognize Aaliyah in the café, who greeted me each morning with a smile and a wonderful attitude, making every day start on a positive note. Jonathan Chapman, consistently prepared my coffee perfectly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The entire team contributed to a welcoming and enjoyable experience, and I greatly appreciated their dedication to guest satisfaction. My only suggestion for improvement would be to expand the breakfast options for guests with gluten-free dietary needs. Many Marriott properties offer gluten-free muffins or similar items, and having those available here would make an already outstanding experience even better. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly return. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so memorable.
