Our stay at the Red Lion Hotel had both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, the room was quite spacious, well organized, and mostly clean. The hotel also has a very good and convenient location. Although breakfast was not included, it was decent—standard but good. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues. The carpets were visibly dirty, and the room we booked included a king bed with a sofa bed. When we opened the sofa bed, it had no sheets, was unfolded, and had food crumbs everywhere, along with an empty drink bottle. My husband went down to the front desk to report the situation. The only options offered were to change rooms or to be given sheets so we could make the bed ourselves. We chose not to change rooms because we were traveling with two small children and one of them was already asleep. We had planned to use the sofa bed, but due to how dirty it was, we couldn’t. What disappointed us the most was that no discount or compensation was offered. We felt that we paid for a service and only received part of what we paid for. In conclusion, while the location and room size were definite positives, the cleanliness and customer service did not meet our expectations.

Fantastic, especially for the price. Honestly start to finish I can't think of any issues other than the hot tub *maybe* being a little sus. Beautiful pool and lazy river though. I do wish they kept the lazy river open later! Very nice rooms and comfortable bed. Close enough to Disney and Universal! They will tact on an extra resort fee when you get there and a 200 dollar incidental for the room though.

We have stayed at the Kissimmee location in December for AYC Nationals 3 years in a row. The location is okay and the rooms are usually okay as well. This particular year I experienced frustration with their customer service. Prior to booking I inquired about the possibility of leaving a day early and was told it would not be a problem to refund. Since our team did not advance to the 2nd day of finals, we did leave a day early. I informed the front desk and was again told that a refund would be issued. 2 months later, I have made several attempts to get money back for the day that I left early and I have gotten no response. Needless to say, when it comes time to booking my team for nationals at the end of the year I will be looking elsewhere.

Apparently house keeping is by request only. We were never informed of this at check in. Not sure what the resort fee is for when it’s freezing outside and unable to use the pool and no one even cleans the room. Attempted to call the front desk multiple times to get towels from the room phone and it was busy every time. Finally called and fought the automated system to get someone and was just told to come to the front desk to get more towels. We’ve stayed here before and loved it. But this stay had issues with housekeeping, sounded like something was constantly rattling in the walls, and the floor smelled like pot multiple times throughout our stay.

I had a great time here and it was better than I expected for the price I paid. This budget hotel was better than the Daytona Best Western we stayed in. The two queen beds had 4 pillows each, the AC worked and the room was clean. The woman at the front desk was polite, and the shop was open really late. It had both novelty Disney items for sale as well as essentials, like acid reducer when I had late night heartburn. I also liked that there was a water bottle refiller at the water fountain next to the elevators. I had no issues here. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Orlando.
