Highly Recommended for Muslim Travelers – Excellent Halal Support!We just returned from a family vacation at Hyatt Ziva Cancun and wanted to write this review specifically to help fellow Muslim travelers. If you are looking for a resort that genuinely understands and accommodates halal dietary needs, this is one of the best options in Cancun.Halal Food Highlights:The resort offers solid halal options, which was the main reason we booked our stay. All chicken breast served across the resort is halal certified — this was a huge relief. Staff can provide halal beef, including delicious rib-eye steak upon request. The kitchen team is very willing to customize dishes to meet our halal restrictions. They were flexible and attentive. What impressed us most was that every time we dined, the staff proactively asked about our food restrictions and guided us to safe options. This level of awareness and care from the entire team made us feel comfortable and respected throughout our stay. On the drinks side, the bartenders were happy to make non-alcoholic versions, but the standard mocktail selection was limited and not very exciting. More refreshing, flavorful non-alcoholic drink options would be a great addition.Overall, we left very happy with the food services and the genuine effort the team made for us. Hyatt Ziva Cancun has earned our trust as a Muslim-friendly resort. We would definitely return and strongly recommend it to other Muslim families looking for a worry-free halal experience in Cancun. Highly recommend for halal food options. We stayed at Turquoise tower and it is definitely worth the extra money. Excellent service and staff.

We had an incredible stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun! The property was beautiful, the food was great, and the staff truly made the experience unforgettable. A special shout-out goes to Eddy from the sports and entertainment team. He was one of the highlights of our trip! Eddy was fun, energetic, and genuinely kind to everyone he met. He always had a smile on his face, kept guests engaged in activities, and brought so much positive energy every day. He was also an amazing dancer and made the daily entertainment even more enjoyable. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he played a huge part in making our vacation so memorable. We can't wait to come back, and we hope to see Eddy and the rest of the amazing team again!

We stayed in the Turquoize Tower at Hyatt Ziva Cancun for my 40th birthday with my two best girlfriends, and it was truly one of the most memorable trips we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make this celebration special. A huge thank you to our amazing butlers Marie and Francisco, along with the entire Turquoize team. They handled every request with a smile, delivered fantastic service directly to our room, and truly made us feel pampered. The upgrade to a swim-up pool suite was perfect – we spent so many relaxing hours enjoying the views and easy access to the water. The hospitality across the resort left all three of us in complete amazement. The quality of the food was outstanding overall, but our absolute favorite was La Bastille, the French restaurant. The escargot was fantastic – rich, perfectly prepared, and one of the highlights of our dinners. Every meal felt elevated and fresh. Special shoutout to Eddie, Alan, and the entire pool team who made our days by the water spectacular. They kept the drinks flowing, the vibes high, and the service attentive without ever being intrusive. They helped turn simple pool time into pure joy. We can't thank Marie, Francisco, Eddie, Alan, and everyone at Turquoize and the resort enough for making my 40th so magical. The combination of luxury, warmth, and genuine care made us feel like VIPs the entire stay. We’re already planning our return – this place has our hearts! I’m currently staying at Hyatt Ziva Cancun and honestly, this has been very disappointing for what is advertised as a 5-star resort. From the first night, things were already off. Our flight was delayed, and when we finally arrived, we ordered room service — it took 2 hours to arrive. By then, my daughter had already fallen asleep. Even worse, nobody was answering the phone when I tried to follow up. The room itself feels very outdated — old furniture, worn cupboards, and not what you expect from a luxury resort. The shower constantly switches between hot and cold, which makes it uncomfortable to even use. The shampoo and toiletries seem watered down and low quality. Service across the resort is lacking. Hallways are often filled with leftover room service trays that sit there for hours, and the floors are slippery — I almost slipped multiple times. The beach area is very small, much smaller than what is shown in photos or advertised online, and there was a lot of seaweed. It doesn’t feel like a proper beach experience at all. One of my biggest concerns is security. There are no wristbands or clear guest identification. When I asked about it at check-in, the receptionist was dismissive. I personally saw people coming in from neighboring areas, and security did not stop or question them. That makes me uncomfortable, especially at night. On top of that, staff generally don’t seem attentive — they are around, but not proactive or helpful. Overall, this feels like a 3-star experience at best, not 5-star. For the price and expectations set by platforms like Costco Travel, Booking, and Expedia, this is far from what was promised. I would not return and would not recommend it based on my experience.

The service at Hyatt Ziva Cancun far exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm and friendly which made this a memorable trip. We loved the view from our room. We could see the resort and the beach. The shower pressure was amazing and the rooms were cleaned timely for our baby to nap during the day. Our absolute favorite restaurants were Habaneros for lunch (amazing fried fish) and Lorenzo’s for dinner (tender and flavorful veal). Loved the omelet and crepe station at the breakfast buffet as well, however it would be helpful to have multiple crepe stations. Another favorite was the mango cart and churro cart, we looked for to these. I love that the pools did not feel crowded especially the pool closest to the public beach. My biggest complaint is the reservation of pool and beach chairs. There are signs that state no reservations but it's not properly enforced. On the way to breakfast you see random personal items and towels on chairs with no one in sight. This will go on for hours. I will attach a picture of the random artifacts guests leave to 'reserve' chairs.
