An amazing family hotel! Huge grounds and comfortable rooms. A fantastic selection of food for every taste at any time of day or night, which is super convenient when traveling with kids. We loved the kids' club- the children made slime, decorated cookies, played, and had a wonderful time there, and the staff are very welcoming. A great family-oriented entertainment program where you never get bored. Honestly, I don't even know how anyone could find flaws. cleanliness, food, grounds, and overall comfort are top-notch. If you are looking for a hotel for a vacation with children, this is, in my opinion, the ideal choice.

I don’t write reviews unless they go above and beyond! Hyatt Ziva Cancun did just that!! I booked here for my husband birthday celebration and we didn’t want to leave when our time was up! I’ll give a breakdown of everything; Restaurants: I saw a few reviews complaining about the food, so I was sceptical. I had nothing at all to fear. Every meal I ate here, from the buffet to the many à la carte restaurants was exceptional, delicious, flavourful and cooked well. The food was always hot and fresh. Our favourite restaurants were “Habaneros” seafood restaurant (exceptional service from Jesus….he deserves employee of the year!!), the fried fish was out of this world. We went at least 3 times during our stay. “Tres Cerveza” (Best prawn tacos and chicken wings!!!), Chevy’s (The Caribbean burger and strawberry milkshake delicious). “Tradewinds” (lovely à la carte breakfast and steak house in the evening, serving the best bread ever as we were seated,. We ordered another one with our meal as it was so good). “Moon Gate” (tasty chinese food and great sized portions! Grounds: Beautifully maintained and the views from all angles are phenomenal. The actual hotel beach is lovely, I was skeptical from reading previous reviews but it was absolutely lovely. Calm waters (that you can have a great swim in), sargassum free and the waiters are always there to ensure you have a drink. There are also towel closets all over the grounds that you can help yourself too and it was always stocked!! The pools were always clean. Now THE DOLPHINSSSSSS. My goodness, what a beautiful addition! Every morning we would step out on our balcony and watch them. We also booked to swim with them and what an experience that was. Raul was such a lovely man who we booked with. Every morning we would stop and have a chat with him. Location: A few minutes walk from the main strip with shopping, nightclubs and restaurants. Also a 6 min walk to the ferry point to Isla Mejeres. Staff: So accommodating, warm, happy, pleasant, helpful, nothing was too much! From the cleaners, Bar staff, waiters, lobby staff, and maintenance workers, everyone was brilliant!! Special shoutouts to Jesus (Habaranos), Raul (Dolphins), Heidi (Conceierge in our building), Urial and Maya Mccally (Pool bar).They all deserve employees of the year. They are truly an asset to the Hyatt brand. Also a huge shoutout to Gabriella from the Unlimited Vacation club. Don’t think about booking it…DO IT!! You will have so happy you did!! Thank you Hyatt for a wonderful vacation!!

We had an excellent stay at Hyatt Ziva! The resort was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was amazing. What truly made our vacation unforgettable was the exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to take care of us and made us feel welcome every day. A special thank you to Alejandro, Jean at La Bastille, Manager Genaro Gomez, Chef Ricardo Mejia, Hostess Desiree, Sous Chef Monserrat, Sous Chef Aldo, and Santiago, the Culinary Concierge. Your kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay so special. We went as a Family of four, 4 nights in late September and this resort absolutely lived up to the hype. It was our first all inclusive experience..! We were in the club tower on the 15th floor with ocean-front views we never got tired of. Food was excellent across the board, and the small touches made it: fresh churros from the cart by Casa del Cafe, the Pasteles dessert shop for the kids, every restaurant that did its best to meet or exceed our expectations - Tradewinds, La Bastille, Moongate, Chevy’s, El Mercado. The resort has its own brewpub - Tres Cervezas that is a great addition to the property. The Delphinus dolphin interaction right on property was one of the highlights of the trip. One honest caveat: it was low season, so some restaurants were on a modified schedule, serving only lunch or dinner, so something to be aware of and worth planning around. What truly set the place apart was the staff: warm, attentive, and anticipating our every need, right from the bellhops to the reception team and wait staff at every restaurant, lounge and bar. Truly a well-functioning team. Hyatt has set the bar for food, service, location, and property amenities for our vacations going forward.

I wanted to share our experience because I think it's something other guests should be aware of. Great trip ,loved the resort but when we got home we found a $4,000 charge from the hotel that wasn't on our invoice. According to the resort the amount of the overcharge was meant to be a pre-authorization hold. To date, Ziva has provided no proof to our credit card company this was intended to be a pre-authorization an not a expense. We went thru the dispute process and our credit card company insists this wasn't fraudulent so they denied the dispute. I'm posting this for two reasons. First, I want other guests to be aware and to carefully check your credit card for new expenses and holds. Second, I'm hoping someone from Hyatt Ziva management sees this and is able to help us get this resolved. $4,000 is a lot of money to be out. We aren't looking for anything we aren't entitled to, we simply want an explanation and resolution to this billing error.
