The rooms are pretty nice, clean, and well air-conditioned. The bed could’ve been a bit more comfortable, but I really have no complaints about the room itself. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is nice and the beach and pool are nice. The issues that I had was the cleanliness and quality of the food. It seems they don’t take food safety very seriously as I witnessed bugs and hair in the food multiple times. The food quality is also awful. It was hit or miss whether or not the staff was friendly. Certain staff were friendly, other staff were rude. It also isn’t very relaxing on the beach when they are blasting music all day long, and it’s awful trying to find a lounge chair that has a view of the water, and it’s impossible to find a lounge chair without cigarette butts surrounding it. This hotel cheaps out in a lot of ways for how expensive it is. Definitely not an 5 star experience. All in all it was an ok vacation but I would never come back.

Nice hotel with a beautiful park. Good food and friendly staff. We are frequent guests for more than 20. Years. We would like to have tablecloths in the evening again, which reduces the noise in the main restaurant,where the music now is rather loud. The main pool needs more shadow as the sunbeds cannot be moved because of plants .

As a Double Black Member of Iberostar, I was very disappointed by this destination. I have stayed at other Iberostar locations in Riviera Maya, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, and Punta Cana which have all exceeded my expectations. I traveled with a group of 8 family members during the holiday season, so prices were very high which made this even more disappointing. Pros: Beaches were beautiful and seaweed free. We snorkeled and kayaked multiple times. Staff at the restaurants and buffets were very kind and worked hard to overcome any language barriers. Rooms were clean and had a nice balcony with comfortable furniture. Pools were clean but very boring. All of the entertainment was on the beach. No bubble parties in the pool, no music......... Cons: Staff at the Star Prestige Lounge, Sales People and Reception were poor at communication, not interested in resolving issues and blamed the guests. Multiple emails prior to the trip were not responded to, expensive phone calls from the US had to be made to get them to answer some basic questions about activities and holiday celebrations. When we arrived, the reservations were not completed for two Iberostar related off-site activities. When I went to the sales area for help, the sales person who "helped" us talked a good story but in the end offered $100 free transportation for miscommunication, bad attitudes and rudeness. If this is how they treat members now, I caution joining. Food was below average compared to the other resorts. Most of the dishes in the restaurants were over-seasoned. Entertainment team during the day was not engaging. There was no trivia, pool activities, bubble parties, dance lessons on the pool-deck like at the other resorts. I used Iberostar credits that I had been saving to pay for part of this trip. I asked for them to be refunded and was told the staff there couldn't authorize that. The Star Prestige staff offered no other solutions or helped to get us in contact with anyone who could resolve the issues. The best part of our trip was spending 7 days with my family of 8 on an amazing beach! We played games and made our own fun despite the disappointment. There are too many other great resorts to recommend this one!

Beautiful beach but overcrowded, good luck getting a lounger. Construction and maintenance noise makes very hard to be in the pool area, besides they closed the main and the kids pools for my entire stay without warning. 90% of the food is gas station quality, the other 10 may be tolerable when hungry. The place is clean and pretty. The theater has worse/cheaper tech than my DJ. The performers try very hard, but...

We did this place last minute because we wanted to do Jamaica. But we switched to this place. I love it!! We traveled with a group of 9 and everything worked out perfectly. The service, the food, the excursions! Loved everything about it.
