JC Kevin Sathorn Bangkok Hotel made for a comfortable stay overall. I liked the clean, roomy accommodations, especially the two-room suite setup, which felt practical and spacious. The property has a nice pool too, though it was a bit cold and didn’t stay sunny for long. A few areas felt a little dated, and the location was not ideal for me, but it was still a pleasant experience.

I stayed at this hotel for one week with friends, in a Family Suite. The staff were very pleasant, always welcoming and helpful, which is a real positive point. The breakfast was also good, although the selection is quite limited for a hotel of this category. However, I was extremely disappointed by the cleanliness of the rooms. For a 5-star hotel, this is simply unacceptable. The Family Suite was really dirty, and the bed sheets were not changed once during my entire stay, which is very shocking for this level of standard. Only the towels were replaced daily. That being said, I would like to point out that the beds are extremely comfortable, which slightly made up for this negative aspect.

An older style hotel offering high rise rooms and spacious suites. Big comfy bed, great bathroom with spa (which we didn’t use) and a large comfortable living area. Staff on reception need to learn to smile: no hello, no welcome, no smile, checking in seemed such a chore. That aside the hotel was in a good position and breakfast was excellent.

Check-in time was 2:00 PM. After more than 24 hours of travelling with a 3-year-old child, we arrived expecting to finally get some rest. Instead, we were left waiting for over an hour and did not receive our room until after 3:00 PM, only because the situation was escalated. Well you have to be loud sometimes, to get something done! What I find unacceptable is the double standard: if guests check out late, they are charged immediately. But when the hotel fails to provide the room at the guaranteed check-in time, there is apparently no compensation and no accountability. The reception staff, especially one short, thin lady, were extremely rude and unprofessional. Her response to our complaint was essentially: “If you want to cancel your booking, go ahead. I don’t care. You want the room or not? ” Well, what will you decide after long travel with a kid? That is not the level of service anyone should expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Even worse, there was literally a waiting line for rooms. Checked-in guests were standing around waiting until housekeeping finished cleaning and then rooms were handed out one by one. I have travelled extensively around the world and have never experienced anything like this at a supposedly luxury hotel. With small children, this situation was especially frustrating. The room itself was very spacious, but the overall condition was disappointing and clearly in need of renovation. There are many signs of wear and tear throughout the property. I also do not understand the purpose of having a large kitchen in the room if guests are not actually allowed to use it. Breakfast was another major disappointment. On two mornings there was no normal buffet service, and guests had to order from a very limited à la carte menu with only a few uninspiring options. This is far below what should be expected from a 5-star hotel. The location is also far from most attractions, meaning you will need a Grab or taxi for almost everything. In summary, I cannot recommend this hotel. It is simply not a 5-star experience. Bangkok offers many significantly better hotels for only $10–20 more per night, and even many 4-star properties provide far superior service, organization, and hospitality. The only thing deserving 5 stars here is the 7-Eleven around the corner.

Great value for its price. We got the 2 bedroom skyline view. The balcony and view was great. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were great. and we were given 4 bottle of water every day. The living room A/C did break but they were very quick and relocating us to the room next door. The breakfast had great omelette station. We used the pool which was great but the pool side beer was a bit pricey. Overall the staff was great and amazing. There is a 7/11 that is walking distance so incase you need something. We did have to utilize grab to get to our destination as there is nothing too much around the area.
